Normally I go with 3 Des Koala but in this case I chose Stealth Bird because it will flip itself face down and with Tsuk being banned there is little I can do for getting a second flip out of DK. Shhh, I'm in hiding your not supposed to recognize me. |

Wow that is an amazingly brilliant comment. OMG I never knew that two opposing deck types couldn't be combined in someway that was effective to both. Your astounding commentary on my deck has just made me totally realize that I should just die so if you'll excuse me now.... Anyway, if that is the best comment/suggestion you have elearu then please avoid my decks at all costs...no one needs one sentence pointless comments. |

I also don't like mobi. I'd go for hand control and use the fire monarch. |

Because you don't trust me, I will briefly explain my self and then offer fixes. Burn and Control are opposites. Control tries to mantain card advantage while slowly dwindling its opponent's lifepoints. Burn(At least the ones that win most) go all out recklessly to drop their opponent's lifepoints. Burn does not go with Control, because it does not gain anything it needs to win. Sure controlling your opponent's field while WMCing them to death is nice, but can be accomplished without the field control. So, if you still intend to keep the theme, I have fixes to make the deck go three different ways. First you can use a Beast-themed route. Using Stelath Bird, Curse of Anubis and Enraged Battle Ox. Second there's the Lava Golem Control, using it's tribute cost as a means to +1 and clear your opponent's field, then attacking them with Brain Control or bouncing it for reuse. Third is a more CC route, using Monarchs or Dark World to make the equivilent of Black Burn. My fixes will come once you tell me which route you wish to take. |

elearu, I don't have to trust you. I judge peoples skill by their responses to my decks and to other decks I see them posted in based upon my own predisposition of what is the best/most effective way to win. A friend of mine made modifications to my deck along the lines of the Monarch/Asura Priest route so in this instance, since your offering a choice I would like to see your opinion on Black Burn. Your right in your assessment of the two deck types and their primary win conditions, that is exactly the reason I combined the two. Control can be too slow, Burn to reckless to win everytime. Therefore it stands to reason that if you can take the strong points from each deck type and combine them effectively you will end up with a hybrid that mirrors the success of both without mirroring their failure. That was the goal, unfortunately most people have failed to recognize that potential. Case in point on one site this deck is posted on, 3 people responded with ratings of 9/9 or above...and on another one member actually suggested that you can never make a burn deck without the "burn trinity". Just post your best ideas for making a deck more effective elearu, trust in your skill will come with seeing that you know what your talking about...since I doubt your one of those types that thinks every deck must have the exact same 20 card base. |

I'm wondering about lack of at least Ring, since it provides both burn and field control. An idea I have for this involves a very offbeat method for Hand control and field presence. 3 Stealth Bird 3 Des Koala 3 Cyber Dragon 2 Big Shield Guardna 2 Monarchs of Choice(I suggest Granmarg of Mobius) 2 Exiled Force 1 D.D. Warrior Lady 1 Night Assailant 1 Spirit Reaper 1 Sangan 3 Wave-Motion Cannon 2 Reliable Guardian(lol)/Enemy Controller 1 Nobleman of Crossout(if you use Mobius)/Smashing Ground(if you use Granmarg) 1 Swords fo Revealing Light 1 Graceful Charity 1 Pot of Avarice/Card Destruction 1 Book of Moon 1 Heavy Storm 1 Last Will 3 Robin' Goblin 3 Secret Barrel 3 Sakuretsu Armor/Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Ring of Destruction You can try that. If you'd rather use Golem I can try one of them too. Stealth Bird/Des Koala/Guardna all have defenses big enough to cause field presence, and cause a discard with Robin Goblin against common monsters(Hydro/Priest/etc). Monarchs and Dragons provide the attack power you'll need to prevent any swarms against your defenders. Wave Cannon is probably the best burn card available, and pulls m/t destruction from your Robin Goblins. Armor/BTH are jsut for things you can't handle with your monsters. |
