Silents And Counter Traps?

Okay, I've been running Silent Swordsman based decks ever since LV5 was released all that time ago.
Kind of sad yes, but I made a promise to myself that I'd win a tournament with an SS deck eventually.

Because of my busy life I've only entered 5 tournaments in those 2 years, lol. I mostly stick to casual play and helping other teams with decks and test playing.

Everytime I place about 10th out of about 50 and I either get lucksacked (2 LV5's on the field, tops Prem into DMoC, I then lose. -_-) or screwed over by the time rule.

I've basically come to a point where I'm bored with the bog standard cookie with Silent tech and wanna try something new. Here's a deck I made last format:

1 Silent Swordsman LV7
3 Silent Swordsman LV5
3 Cyber Dragon

1 Breaker the Magical Warrior
1 DD Warrior Lady
2 Silent Swordsman LV3
3 Shining Angel
2 Spirit Reaper
2 Mystic Swordsman LV2
2 Magician of Faith
1 Sangan

1 Graceful Charity
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Snatch Steal
1 Premature Burial
1 Book of Moon
2 Reinforcement of the Army
2 Nobleman of Crossout

1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force
1 Call of the Haunted
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Widespread Ruin
3 Sakuretsu Armor
2 Dust Tornado
3 Solemn Judgment

For some reason the deck worked like a charm.
It ran at such a quick pace and left so few openings for my opponent to do anything that I'd have a LV5/LV7 laying the smack down in no time.

With the new banlist came the limitation of Reaper, Faith, Crossout, the banning of Tsukuyomi (which made things easier) and the unbannng of Ring.

This hurt the deck a lot, it lost some of its main quick damage cards and with Ring back the deck simply couldn't flow as well as it used to.

This format, with an increasing number of players running searchers, monarchs, Exileds and Steins it's becoming a lot harder to keep a Silent on the field for practically more than a turn to at least do a bit of damage. At least last format I could tech Silents into a Chaos deck, lol. Which I also did. ;P

Basically I want to try a new deck involving Counter Traps and Silent Swordsman to render the field of my opponent useless. A card I've seen in action previously is Forced Back. Trying to Exiled a Zaborg is hard when they send it back to your hand, lol.

Any ideas?

Here's a deck idea::

Monsters::21

3 Silent Swordsman LV. 5
3 Bountiful Artemis
3 Cyber Dragon
2 Silent Swordsman LV. 3
2 Shining Angel
1 Breaker the Magical Warrior
1 Silent Swordsman Lv. 7
1 D.D. Warrior Lady
1 Magician of Faith
1 Mystic Tomato
1 Spirit Reaper
1 Don Zaloog
1 Sangan

Spells::10

2 Reinforcement of the Army
2 Smashing Ground
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Graceful Charity
1 Pot of Avarice
1 Heavy Storm

Traps::10

3 Solemn Judgment
3 Negate Attack
3 Forced Back
1 Mirror Force

The deck uses the abuse of Bountiful Artemis as well as some of the most powerful countrer-traps in the game. With nine counter-traps total and three Artemis, you are bound to be able to use the drawing power it's capable of giving you.

The theme of Silent Swordsman is untouched, and the deck has another win condition, it's a 1-2 outcome.

Good luck,

Damn Odysseus, that's pretty sexy, lol.

Though I don't understand the use of 2 ROTA with only 4 warriors, 2 of them likely to be searched by Angel.

Would it be worth tinkering with the deck to add 2 Exiled and perhaps a DDA? It deals some pretty nice damage by itself and with Forced Back hitting for 1700 each turn could start to hurt.

Kai's deck looks nice too, looks fluent enough to get some real quick hits in and I like the touch of Magic Cylinder.

Both have given me a lot of ideas to work from and for someone who rarely gets to play anymore or spend time online, I really needed some ideas. ;P

Thanks to both. :]
