Thats right its that time again for DHQ to have another ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN of video game characters. You the members get to nominate who will be in it. There is a lineup of video game characters ready to fight it out to see who is the best according to you the members who vote on each fight!

How it works:

Nomination Rules:
• You are allowed three nominations.
• We need a total of 50 or more video game characters! if that number isn’t reached then I will fill up the rest of the roster so that we can continue.

Tournament Rules:

• This is how it works every week two video gaming characters will go head to head and at the end of the week the one with the most votes wins and moves on to the next round. All of your favorite gaming characters will go head to head. You vote you pick the winner. This wont be the last gaming tourney you will see. Now lets start this thing with a bang.

How to make a Nomination:

• Characters name/Name of Game

Now post who you want to see in this, and remember you may only pick 3!

How to make a Nomination:

• Hero's name/Name of Game

Now post who you want to see in this, and remember you may only pick 3!

It's more of a popularity contest, if you ask me. The more fans of a series there are, the more likely those characters will win, unless people actually think about it.

Anyways, for how to nominate, you put "Hero's name/Hero's game". What about villains?

Furthermore...at three nominations per person, you'll end up with 51 characters. Then there is the fact that the pairings might not work out very well (with byes in a lot of spots). So, if it's not too much of a problem, might I ask if I could help organize this?

Might I suggest using 48 characters? It works well for pairings, and we'd only need 16 members to pick 3 characters; that, or 60 characters.

Its 50 or more guy, *cOrn*

I'm just saying, why put 50 or more when you can never have 50 characters. Lol.

Presuming this is elimination, there will be a bye in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round. And the same person would get that bye every time.

I'm only trying to help, dude.

Oh, and you never answered my question about if we can enter villains as well, because I presume we can.

You obviously don't understand the elimination process... *cOrn*

Actually, yeah, I do. In the elimination style, each person (or character in this case) works their way up the ladder, until the final round. If you lose, you're out, hence the name elimination. This is a YGO board, so yeah, I'd think as a YGO player I would know how elimination works. Imagine that. =/

If you're using a bracket format, then yes, I have already worked it out. The winner of the last match of Round 1 would get the bye 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round. If you're not, then someone would still get a bye during each of those Rounds. Granted that is with 50 characters, not 51; even then, you have a bye first round, but none second. The rest is the exact same.
