14 January 2016 We begin our broadcast with remembering the legacy of one of Kumania's finest actors, Alan Richard Mann. Throughout his career, Mr. Mann played several of your favorite villains and won numerous awards. He died of cancer earlier this morning. We move on to a much lighter story. Yesterday, the RKSFS Frederick departed with a crew of scientists and a polar bear to go to a black hole. About an hour ago, the Frederick reached the black hole. The polar bear on board the Frederick was launched from the starship into the black hole with many highly advanced sensors on it. The purpose of this mission was to study the effects of a black hole on a life form as well as technology that enters it. The polar bear of course was crushed by the black hole, but the scientific team on board the Frederick at a safe distance away from the gravity of the black hole were able to fulfill their mission and are bringing back a lot of scientific data. Now for the weather. Temperatures are expected to be around freezing for the rest of the week, while getting to very freezing at nights. A storm is expected to come through at the beginning of next week, so the government advises everyone to prepare for this winter storm. Several leaders have come to an agreement in Clemodecralia regarding the escalated tensions between Latrovia and PLR. Peace is official they say. The Latrovian leader left Clemodecralia very happy, while the leaders of Handland and PLR refused to show any emotion in front of our cameras. Kivasek is still under chaos. The Poltovarian military has threatened military action against Kivasek, but their leaders can't seem to find the landlocked nation. Several nations including Merlinton and Rhodigai have come to the aid of the Kivasekian government. The Royal Kumanian Space Force showed itself off in style by destroying giant cockroach men that were attacking the Arctican capital city of Dymaxion. Peace has restored to the embattled city for now, but the RKSF is remaining in the area in case of another attack. King Jimmy has declared that he would like to send aid to Arctic States to help them rebuild from this attack. The top scientists of Latrovia unveiled a new defense system today. However, several scientists from the international community are unsure if this defense system can truly protect Latrovia. In regards to the Latrovian allegations that they (the Latrovians) can control the climate and use it as a weapon, King Jimmy condemns such allegations. He states that these allegations are "baloney", and "if a nation ever held the capability to hold our ecosystem hostage, they shall be met with a coalition of all of the other sane countries of this world who will bring an end to that nation". He also adds that "the defense system unveiled by the Latrovian scientists could not hold off the combined force of the rest of the world's military strength" He further states that "it's a shame that the Latrovians think it is a waste to invest in starships while investing in a bubble that can be popped by tremendous force". Finally, spring training is only 6 weeks away! Tickets have gone on sale for games. Baseball is King Jimmy's favorite sport, and he anticipates the start of this next season. And that concludes our broadcast. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! This has been a broadcast by KNN International. Edited by Kumania, Jan 14 2016, 11:21 PM.

15 January 2016 Good evening. This is KNN International. We begin our broadcast tonight continuing where we left off last night with Spring Training approaching soon. Controversy has struck the Kumania National Baseball League (KNBL) as Sharon Yulos, the shortstop for the Kumania City Sabertooth Tigers , has been suspended indefinitely from baseball for using performance enhancing drugs. Yulos had a surprise drug test performed last Thursday in which HGH was found. KNBL is expected to release a statement within the next 24 hours as to how long this suspension will last. Meanwhile, this has forced the Sabertooth Tigers to sign veteran free agent shortstop Allison Rodney in a 1-year deal totaling 3 million Kumans as it is expected that Yulos' suspension will last this entire upcoming season. Center fielder Tommy Guzman of the Sabertooth Tigers was questioned by KNN International regarding Yulos' suspension: "Man I'm very disappointed y'know. Sharon's the best shortstop our team has had in a decade. It's such a shame that her talent might not be really there y'know. I hope though that her suspension isn't too long and soon she can return to playing. I wish her the best in getting through this." Guzman and Yulos are both from the suburbs of the Arab capital city of Chertkovo. We move on to a much lighter celebration. The Second and Third Fleets of the Royal Kumanian Space Force were completed today. Twenty-one starships were built between these two fleets, with 11 of them, of the brand new Carrier Class, belonging to the Third Fleet. Whereas the launch of the First Fleet was a much bigger event, the launch of the Second and Third Fleets won't be as high key. However, Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz informed us that the starships of the Third Fleet can carry up to 200 fighter shuttles each, which will greatly change how future operations are handled. These fighter shuttles are like fighter jets, but designed to operate in space as well. Minister DeFronz later stated that the starships of the Carrier Class could be considered analogous to aircraft carriers. We have more news regarding the RKSF. Earlier this afternoon, the RKSFS Frederick returned from the black hole. King Jimmy has announced that there will be a parade in Kumania City to honor the scientific advancement that the scientific crew on the Frederick had accomplished. Calofas recently unveiled a new weapon of mass destruction which is basically a severely obese dog. These dogs allegedly can destroy whole cities since they are so huge. However, demonstrations by animal rights activists have recently broken out in Kumania City outside the Calofasian Embassy in protest of this new weapon of mass destruction. The Ministry of Defense has mobilized around 100 troops from the Royal Kumanian Army to protect the Calofasian Embassy in case the currently peaceful demonstrations become violent. The same group of protesters held a peaceful demonstration last night in response to a polar bear being launched into a black hole. And finally, representatives from the Arab states of Kolechia, Peoples Liberation Republic, and Aghrabia, with Axeldonia in observance, are expected to meet in Chertkovo tomorrow to begin talks of economic unity. King Jimmy applauds this effort as he sees the Arab region as one that certainly can use some peace and stability. And that concludes our broadcast! From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! This has been a broadcast by KNN International. |

16 January 2016 This is KNN International! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos. Here are tonight's top stories. We begin our broadcast tonight with continued coverage of protests outside the Calofasian Embassy in Kumania City. In response to the announcement by the Calofasian government that their military has developed a weapon which uses obese dogs, what is now several thousand people have gathered outside the gates of the embassy demanding an end to the project. Kelly Chipsol from KNN's affiliate in Port de Triomphe was able to have an exclusive interview with the Calofasian Chair of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, Adão Cavey. KC: "It is good to see you Mr. Cavey. How are you?" AC: "I'm fine thank you. How are you?" KC: "I'm pretty good. Anyways, Mr. Cavey, what do you think of these protests in Kumania City? There's been a lot of anger among some Kumanians and I'm sure other people in other nations over your military's announced use of weaponizing obese dogs. AC: "I heard about that. Frankly, I think it's silly. I actually laughed when I heard that there were so many freaking out about this. I promise on behalf of the Calofasian government that these dogs will be treated extremely well, just like the rest of our soldiers." KC: "So you're pretty much saying these dogs are soldiers?" AC: "Yes." KC: "Alright. Well I'm sure there will be some who see a clear difference between the dogs and human soldiers. One argument would be that human soldiers are trained to kill while these dogs are trained to die." AC: "That is absolutely false. The purpose of these dogs is to kill the enemy. We haven't tested them in combat yet. Perhaps they wouldn't even come out with a scratch. I am aware that in war people die. There's never a guarantee that those human soldiers who are trained to kill will survive. I'd say their chances of survival are the same as that of the dogs." KC: "So on to the actual protests. Are you concerned about the safety of the embassy in Kumania City? Are there any plans to evacuate the embassy and bring its employees to shelter until there is calm again?" AC: "My government is certain that the employees inside the embassy are completely safe. We do not expect there to be a need to move them to any safer place. I know His Majesty King Jimmy seems to have the situation under control. My government trusts that he will continue to protect my fellow citizens who are currently inside that embassy." KC "Thank you Mr. Cavey." AC: "Thank you for having me. Take care." We move on tonight with a statement by the Kumanian National Baseball League (KNBL). This morning they confirmed rumors that Sharon Yulos' suspension would last this entire upcoming season. This confirmation is a sigh of relief to her team, the Kumania City Sabertooth Tigers, who signed Allison Rodney to a one-year, 3 million Kuman contract yesterday. In other sports news, the Kumania City Queens beat the Saint John's Lobsters 27-20 in the divisional round of the Kumanian Handegg League (KHL) playoffs this afternoon. And the Montreal Lumberjacks beat the Toronto Lakers 26-20 in overtime in their divisional round of the KHL playoffs too today. Tomorrow, the Kumania City Turtles will play the Quebec Runners and the Ottawa Oranges will play the Frederic Fighters in their divisional round games of the KHL playoffs. Whoever wins the Turtles/Runners game will play the Lumberjacks in the National League Championship next Sunday, while the winner of the Oranges/Fighters game will play the Queens next Sunday too in the Kumanian League Champtionship. And finally tonight, tensions almost escalated today as words were exchanged between the governments of PLR and Latrovia over Latrovia's new defense system. The government of Calofas, fearing that this defense system would bring the Latrovian nation back into the stone age, established a relief fund for the Latrovian people in case such an event occurred. King Jimmy pledged to donate 1 billion Kumans to the relief fund since Latrovia helped Kumania recover from disaster last year. However, King Jimmy has condemned a statement by the Latrovian government in which they, the Latrovians, declared this defense system made them gods. King Jimmy's condemnation wasn't the only one, as the PLR government also condemned the statement and announced that they were revoking their donation to the fund. Tensions cooled however when the government of Aghrabia told both PLR and Latrovia to "[shut] up for once and [stop] arguing". And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! Edited by Kumania, Jan 17 2016, 09:50 AM.

17 January 2016 This is KNN International Nightly News with Sally Bungalos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos and here are tonight's top stories. Crisis has occured at the Calofasian Embassy. Overnight, roughly 20 protesters attempted to break into the Calofasian Embassy in Kumania City. The intruders were caught by officers of the Royal Kumanian Army, who have been stationing troops outside of the Calofasian Embassy since protests broke out. Ten of the protesters resisted arrest, and were shot and killed at the scene. This has led to uproar as more militant environmentalists and those who are annoyed by the protesters have flocked to the square outside the embassy. The Ministry of Defense has ordered more troops to be stationed in the area in case violence breaks out between the two sides. Both the Kumanian and Calofasian governments continue to deny that the employees inside the embassy need to be evacuated. Meanwhile in the Kumanian Handegg League playoffs, the Fredericton Fighters defeated the Ottawa Oranges 23-16 to advance to the Kumanian League Championship, where they will host the Kumania City Queens next Sunday afternoon. Across the League, the Quebec Runners defeated the Kumania City Turtles 31-24 to advance to the National League Championship, where they will host the Montreal Lumberjacks next Sunday evening. Both league championships are expected to be full of drama, as all four teams that remain had the best records this season, and hate their opponents. Top sports analysts for KNN predict that the game between the Queens and the Fighters, who have an intense rivalry in recent years, will be a classic. Handland's first elections in years concluded today. The Handlandian people went to the polls to elect a new President, as Hogarth Eastmoreland has stepped down after over 20 years in power. Calofas has announced that it will be launching new communications satellites that use highly advanced laser technology next Wednesday and Friday. Handlandian scientists aided the Calofasian scientists in developing these satellites. And finally, a severe winter storm is expected to arrive on Tuesday. The storm is predicted to last for the next week. The Ministry of Defense announces that it will have rescue operations underway if needed, but strongly encourages everyone to prepare for the storm as best as possible. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

18 January 2016 This is KNN International Nightly News with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos and here are tonight's top stories. There were more clashes outside the Calofasian Embassy in Kumania City late last night as the protests became riots. Militant environmentalists clashed with people who were annoyed by the militants and blood was shed. In an awesome maneuver, the Royal Kumanian Army cleared the square outside of the embassy with force and have occupied the square since. "If people can't behave and act civilized during a demonstration, they won't be allowed to exercise their right to free speech and assembly," said Colonel William Mays, who led the operation. Rioters fleeing from the army looted several stores on the streets that led away from the square, but no serious damage occurred. King Jimmy has given his approval of the mission and stated that the Royal Army will remain posted in the square outside of the Calofasian Embassy until further notice. People will be free to go in and out of the area, but individuals who wish to visit the area must go through a military checkpoint before entering. Later tonight, the highly anticipated winter storm is expected to enter the northwestern-most parts of Kumania. The Ministry of Defense has stated that they are ready for the storm. This severe winter storm has pushed back King Jimmy's annual State of the Royal Republic speech a week. So next Monday night, King Jimmy will deliver this traditional address at Parliament Hall. KNN International will be broadcasting live from the event. And finally, elections for the Royal Parliament will occur later this year. King Jimmy has ordered for there to be an emergency election this year as he feels that the Royal Parliament needs them. He has not yet decided on a date on which they occur, but it is expected that they won't happen before 1 March since candidates are usually given one month to campaign before the election. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

19 January 2016 This is KNN International Nightly News with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos and here are tonight's top stories. We begin of course with continued coverage of the massive winter storm that is striking most of Kumania. We have several field reporters on the scene in Montreal, Toronto, Thunder Bay, Moosonee, Eastmain, and Fort Severn. We will begin with correspondent Kylie McDaniels on the ground outside of Fort Severn near the border with Arctic States on the coast of the Hudson Bay. KM: Thank you Sally. I'm standing here outside of Fort Severn where the Ministry of Defense has stationed thousands of troops who could leave at any moment to rescue those in danger from the storm. It is currently -15 degrees C here and will drop to -22 tonight. As Fort Severn is the northernmost settlement in Kumania, it was the first to be hit by the storm early last night. The storm is moving east-southeast and will enter Kumania City later tonight. Already six feet of snow have fallen here and winds have reached up to 60 miles per hour at times. But nevertheless the Ministry of Defense is certain that it can launch rescue operations from this base. SB: Thank you Kylie. We visit correspondent Tommy Uhara in Moosonee, a couple hundred miles southeast of Fort Severn along the coast of the James Bay. TU: Thank you Sally. Moosonee's port is already frozen. Ships are trapped in the ice as this storm continues to rage. Electricity has already gone out here five times! If not for those stationed at Fort Severn, it's unlikely we would be talking right now. The locals prepared well for the storm. The Royal Navy of course has a base here since Moosonee is Kumania's only Arctic port city. However, most of the ships docked here are like I mentioned earlier trapped in the ice. Supplies from Saint John's are expected to arrive here tomorrow morning. However, even with all the preparation and supplies coming and military presence here, it is still unknown if Moosonee will last through this storm without any damage. SB: Thank you Tommy. Stay safe comrade. We will take a short commercial break and be back with correspondent Emma Blake in Eastmain. "Do you ever get tired of snow ruining you day? Fear not! For we introduce to you Snow-Away! This revolutionary firearm can vaporize snow in an instant! Just fire at the targeted snow and *BAM!* no more snow! Stay prepared this storm by buying Snow-Away today!" Welcome back to KNN International Nightly News. We continue this broadcast by visiting Emma Blake in Eastmain, roughly 100 miles northeast of Moosonee across the James Bay. EB: Thank you Sally! As you can see behind me, this town did not prepare well for the storm. However, it couldn't do much anyways. About fifty houses collapsed due to strong gales and heavy snow this morning and afternoon. I've received word that the Ministry of Defense will be launching a rescue operation here tomorrow afternoon. SB: We now visit correspondent Billy Flake in Thunder Bay. BF: Hello Sally. The storm is picking up here. However, it is not as severe as in the northern towns and won't be as severe because we are on the coast of Lake Superior. However, the lake has started to freeze up a little bit. It is currently unknown if the city's residents prepared well, but time will tell. Hopefully if they didn't prepare well, nature won't strike them down for their ignorance and spare its wrath. SB: Thanks Billy. We transition to Molly Weasel in Toronto. MW: Good evening Sally. Things are relatively calm here. There is a light drizzle of snow, but nothing too crazy right now. The storm only arrived a couple hours ago. While there isn't any threat expected, it is expected that a majority of rescue operations will occur here in Toronto since it is a very large city. Lake Ontario doesn't have any ice on it yet from the storm, but we expect it to freeze up. All of Kumania's shores are expected to freeze during the course of this storm. The Royal Navy fortunately is taking the precaution right now to move several of its ships currently docked here in Toronto far away from the coast, almost to the maritime border with United Remmeria to avoid being trapped in ice. Back to you. SB: Thanks Molly. And finally, we visit Alexander Fink in Montreal. AF: Hi Sally. Montreal is currently experiencing weather in between Toronto and Kumania City. It is bitterly cold here, but no snow has fallen yet. Just like Fort Severn, Montreal will be a major hub for the Ministry of Defense to launch rescue operations. Now, I shall let you know that the KHL is not planning to postpone the championship games in Quebec and Fredericton this Sunday. It is expected that there will be snow falling during the games, but the severe parts of the storm that remain will not be anywhere near the stadiums Sunday. SB: Thanks Alexander. We here at KNN International shall continue bringing you up to date information about this winter storm as it passes through Kumania this week. I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, stay safe! |

23 January 2016 This is KNN International Nightly News with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos. We here at KNN International apologize for the lack of broadcasting the past three days. The severe storm that is still wreaking havoc across Kumania destroyed several communication and broadcasting devices, as well as seven generators. We are currently broadcasting live 20 miles southeast of Kumania City on the RKNS McKelly instead of at our usual studio in Kumania City since it is currently impossible to broadcast from that studio. We here at KNN International thank you for your patience, and thank the Royal Navy for allowing us to stay on one of their ships and broadcast from it until our normal studio gets repaired. As previously mentioned, this storm has ravaged the nation. The northern communities of Moosonee and Eastmain, where two of our finest correspondents reported from over three days ago, have been completely destroyed by the storm. The Ministry of Defense has announced that they were able to save roughly 75% of the population in Moosonee, and 68% of the population in Eastmain. Refugee camps for the survivors have been constructed in Windsor, just east of Detroit, United Remmeria. Windsor is one of the few cities in Kumania that hasn't been severely ravaged by the storm. Moosonee and Eastmain are currently 100% buried by snow. The Ministry of Defense expects that it will take a few months to rebuild. Meanwhile, King Jimmy asks the international community to send aid to help Kumania rebuild from this devastating natural disaster. In Quebec and Fredericton, repair crews are already in position to clear out the snow for crowds at tomorrow's games. It is expected that the most severe parts of the storm will finally go away tonight. The KHL predicts that weather conditions in Quebec and Fredericton will be just fine for each respective kickoff tomorrow. In international news, pirates seized an Aghrabian cargo ship off the west coast of Merlinton on its way to Kumania a couple days ago. As of now, the status of the ship and its passengers and cargo is unknown, but King Jimmy hopes that soon the ship will be rescued from these pirates. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, stay safe! |

24 January 2016 This is KNN International Nightly News with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are tonight's top stories. As this severe winter storm is finally moving out of Kumania, there were two huge handegg games today in Quebec and Fredericton. We will briefly recap the first game, the Kumania League Championship between the Kumania City Queens and the Fredericton Fighters. The Fighters defeated the Queens 20-18 in an intensely close game between the two rivals, and the Fighters have advanced to the Kumania Bowl. Meanwhile in the second game, the Quebec Runners defeated the Montreal Lumberjacks 49-15 to join the Fighters in advancing to the Kumania Bowl. The Kumania Bowl will start at 6:30 pm EST on 7 February. The Ministry of Defense has announced that it has troops ready to be deployed if any riots break out in Kumania City or Montreal over the losses of the Queens and Lumberjacks. It should be clear that the Ministry of Defense does not tolerate any hooliganism and will gladly assist local police forces if fans start doing any kind of hooliganism. Early estimates from the Ministry of Defense suggest that this winter storm has cost Kumania roughly 15 billion Kumans. However, the Kumanian Stock Exchange is predicted to have a boom tomorrow morning when it reopens due to the Royal Parliament passing a bill that legalizes gambling on elections, the Ministry of Finance declaring that the government will start subsidizing the automotive industry, and gambling on the two handegg games today. And finally, earlier this morning, Premier Luna Marena, the 51 year old leader of the E.S.S.R., stepped down after a dramatic drop in popularity, civil unrest, and alleged betrayal. Joseph Colt, a former Premier and a Red Army Officer, will be the interim Premier until a new Premier is elected. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is suspicious that Colt will keep his promise since all of the E.S.S.R.'s borders have been closed, anyone who attempts to enter the country illegally will be declared an enemy of the state, all non-allied diplomats have been deported, and the list of candidates for the upcoming election will not be revealed. King Jimmy has expressed hope that the E.S.S.R. can make its transition to having a new leader be as peaceful and stable as possible. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

25 January 2016 This is a KNN Special Report! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos. With me are Tommy Uhara and McKenzie Zylop. We are broadcasting live from Parliament Hall in Kumania City. In just a few minutes, King Jimmy will enter the Main Chamber to address members of the Royal Parliament, the Royal Supreme Court, the Royal Cabinet, the Armed Forces of Kumania Royal Joint Chiefs of Staff, Governors of our many provinces, various foreign dignitaries, the Royal Family, numerous special guests, every major media organization based in the nation, and of course you, the citizens of the Royal Republic of Kumania! Before King Jimmy arrives, the three of us will discuss what we will be expecting from this important speech. McKenzie, let's start with you. MZ: Thank you Sally. As we all know, Kumania has had its ups and downs this year. However, in the current state of things, Kumania is up. So I expect His Majesty to address these things. SB: And how about you Tommy? TU: I agree. It's always beneficial to bring up how much the nation has prospered in the past year. There's been times nearly a year ago when it was doubtful that King Jimmy would continue to be in office by this address. However, good things ended up happening and King Jimmy I'm sure will address the public as if he has won a major battle. SB: Yes, we should not forget the riots that had happened across the nation last spring when the economy tanked. I too was unsure if King Jimmy could've remained in office. MZ: Indeed. Those riots were the highest tensions throughout Kumania had been since Unification. There were few political analysts who would've proudly said that King Jimmy would last the summer. TU: And yet here in a couple minutes, we will be seeing him give another State of the Royal Republic Address, in front of several of his political enemies as a matter of fact. MZ: Yep. I'm waiting to see how he will bring those people up. It is universally known that King Jimmy has a great sense of humor, and it will be expected that he will use it against his political opponents. SB: Well we won't have to wait any longer. All the guests have taken their seats and the Speaker of Parliament have risen from their seats at the Speaker's Podium. All eyes are now on the Speaker of Parliament, Michelle Michaels who shall introduce King Jimmy. MM: Ladies and gentlemen, His Majesty, the King of Kumania, Jimmy Kuma! *Thunderous applause erupts throughout the Chamber. Everyone stands up and looks at King Jimmy as he enters the Chamber through the door by the center aisle and walks down the center aisle towards the Speaker's Podium shaking hands with several people who are standing along the center aisle. After a minute, King Jimmy walks up to the Speaker's Podium and takes his positon.* "Thank you for that warm welcome! Madame Speaker, Members of the Royal Parliament, Your Honor Chief Justice, other Justices of the Royal Supreme Court, my comrades in my Royal Cabinet, my intelligent Joint Chiefs of Staff, Governors of this nation's provinces, special guests, and those who are watching at home: I welcome you." *thunderous applause* "My fellow Kumanians, I stand here tonight to address to everyone listening how Kumania is. Now, I could just stand here and quickly tell you, 'hey guys, things are great!'" *laughter* "However, things are obviously not that simple. This is my 15th State of the Royal Republic Address. And things have not been as so complex in the past year. A year ago, if you told any of the great Kumanian citizens that they would deal with a short but disastrous economic depression during the summer, you'd probably get punched in the face to be honest. *laughter* "Ah yes, one wouldn't have foreseen it. Not even the libertarian wing of the Libertarian Socialist Party that split from the main party and formed a coalition with the Conservative Party to help pass the disastrous legislation that brought this nation to its knees! Fortunately, these politicians learned their mistake. At least I hope they did. This scandal saw the resignation of over 100 Members of Parliament. Ah yes, I can tell that there are more than 100 new faces looking at me tonight. When over a third of the Royal Parliament is replaced in a non-election year, it's quite easy to notice. But, the 55 million Kumanians will once again decide the fate of every member of this parliament. Later this year, there shall be Parliament elections once again and of course all 275 seats will be at risk. And I am a leader that prefers his fellow citizens vote wisely. So if the voters happen to vote for politicians that cripple this nation again, I will see to it that the people get a second chance at electing wise representatives! It should be remembered that it always comes down to the people. If the people are unsatisfied, they will certainly let you know. "Now, I am alike you politicians who are at risk. Last summer during those riots, I was unsure whether I'd be able to speak front of all of you again. Unfortunately, we had to briefly abandon our socialist values to revive our economy. But fortunately, the socialist ideals are back and this economy is as powerful as it was a year ago. The Kuman is a strong currency, as can be seen in today's stock market boom. Kumania shall be a prime example to the world of how a nation should operate! *thunderous applause* "Speaking of operation, I've decided that it'd be in the best interest of this nation if a couple more positions were created, specifically within the executive branch. So I call on Parliament to pass legislation that creates the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This Ministry shall oversee several operations that shall be done with the authority of this government such as transportation, housing, food, healthcare, and registries. Such a bill will also rename the Ministry of Affairs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also, I ask that you allow for my successor to have more role in this government. While she is still very young, she is almost as old as I was when I became King, and thus she should be able to have an idea of how things work around here in case anything terrible was to happen. "Now, we are not yet done talking about horrors that have struck this nation the past year. As it is ingrained in all of our memories, it's only been a couple months since that war with Arctic States and PLR. Those were indeed dark times. But, this nation endured. This nation is strong!" *thunderous applause* "We experienced both an economic crisis and a military crisis this past year. But look at us now. We have starships and our currency is one of the best in the world!" *more applause* "Anyone who doubts the ability of this great nation is a fool! *even more thunderous applause and standing ovation* "Now, there is still work to be done. We just endured a deadly winter storm. But Kumania will prevail!" *applause* "There is no power in this world that can truly destroy Kumania. This nation is up there with Kedalistan and Merlinton in terms of respect. No one dares to lay a finger on Kumania!" *applause and standing ovation* "Like I said before, we have starships. And we are currently making more starships. Ladies and gentlemen, please do honor Royal Kumanian Space Force Grand Admiral Autumn Lutone for her efforts in running this new advanced branch of our armed forces! *thunderous applause and standing ovation as everyone looks at Grand Admiral Lutone* "Now, it would be inappropriate of me to not thank those nations who helped Kumania rebuild, specifically Calofas. Calofas is a great friend and ally of our nation. Without them, there would be no glory for us. It is an honor to have the Calofasian ambassador here with us tonight. Mrs. Ambassador, our nation is forever indebted to you. *applause* "And finally, I'd like to thank you, the ordinary Kumanian citizen, for staying strong. This past year has been a rollercoaster, but none of this could have been achieved without you. So I am extremely thankful for you. "Thank you all! Stay strong! And may the Royal Republic of Kumania be eternally blessed!" *Thunderous applause erupts again as King Jimmy leaves the Speaker's Podium. Everyone in the room stands as the King leaves.* SB: Well, that was King Jimmy's 15th State of the Royal Republic Address. What did you two think of it?" MZ: It was just as I expected. King Jimmy wasn't afraid to say what he wanted to say. His address was certainly full of optimism. TU: Agreed. It was a good speech. I felt like it was a little bit shorter, but I also feel like he got to the main point of everything he wanted to talk about. SB: Indeed. Well, that concludes our broadcast. You've just watched King Jimmy's 15th Annual State of the Royal Republic Address here on KNN. I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here, have a good day. |

26 January 2016 This is The KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. King Jimmy has begun talks with the Latrovian King Alexander I. Jimmy has decided there could be some benefit to interacting economically with the Latrovians a little bit. It is predicted that a trade deal will be agreed upon and be sent to the Royal Parliament to ratify, but it is unknown what the deal would contain. Parliament today passed a Constitutional Amendment to create a Ministry of Internal Affairs. Now it is up to the individual provincial legislatures to ratify, and then the provincial governors, and finally King Jimmy before the amendment would become official. Parliament also has begun debating what powers Crown Princess Gloria shall be given. Speaker Michelle Michaels was quoted saying, "It was very nice that His Majesty was so clear in defining what the Ministry of Internal Affairs Amendment would contain. However, us legislators have found extreme difficulty in deciding what exactly the King wants his daughter to do in the government. So we will ask the two of them to join us during a session to decide what Her Highness shall be able to do." As Parliament elections will be happening this year, soon it shall be revealed when the election day shall occur. However, King Jimmy has not given anyone any clue of even what month they will occur. Several members of Parliament have stated that they highly anticipate the announcement of when elections will occur since they want to have enough time to prepare. Most of the members who spoke had voted for the disastrous cuts to subsidies last spring. And finally, the government of the E.S.S.R. has announced that it will reveal the list of candidates for Premier soon. Both King Jimmy and Minister of Foreign Affairs Julian Basque have praised Joseph Colt's new promise of transparency during his country's upcoming election. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

27 January 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. King Jimmy and King Alexander I are closer to finalizing a trade deal. This deal would be the first major trade deal that has involved Kumania since Kumania created a massive trade deal with Calofas. King Jimmy says, "The purpose of this deal is to enrich the cultures of both nations. I personally see culture as an important aspect of a society, and I feel like the Latrovians would be excellent at helping us enrich our already amazing culture." The Ministry of Defense has announced that it is on the recruitment drive. The purpose of this recruitment is to be able to send 10% of Kumania's troops to train in United Remmeria as part of a global military coalition effort. Speaker of Parliament Michelle Michaels announced today that King Jimmy and Crown Princess Gloria have agreed to meet with the leaders of Parliament sometime next week to discuss what powers the Crown Princess shall be given. An exact date of when the meeting will occur is currently unknown, but an aid to King Jimmy said that it is all dependent on when King Jimmy and King Alexander I agree on the trade deal. King Jimmy is currently out of the country during these negotiations, and is expected to not come home until the deal is agreed upon. Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz told KNN earlier today that she expects her troops to depart their current positions outside of the Calofasian Embassy in Kumania City Friday morning. The troops have been stationed at the embassy since protests broke out a couple weeks ago. And finally, the Ministry of Finance has announced that the price of stock in the Kumanian Stock Exchange is the highest it's been since two days before the disastrous stock market crash last spring. The price is expected to continue rising as confidence is extremely high. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

28 January 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. A few hours ago, King Jimmy held a press conference in Anthetal with Latrovian King Alexander I to announce that a trade agreement has been reached. This new trade deal will allow Latrovian wine, clothing, airline, furniture, musical instrument, and food companies to both operate their businesses and sell their products in Kumania. In exchange, Kumanian wine, clothing, airline, and oil companies shall sell and operate in Latrovia. Clothing will be exempt from trading fees. With this deal reached, Parliament shall debate its ratification tomorrow. This deal is expected to pass easily. King Jimmy shall return home Saturday morning. It is still unknown on what date King Jimmy and Crown Princess Gloria shall meet with the leaders of Parliament. Meanwhile, half of the provincial legislatures have ratified a Constitutional Amendment that would create the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This Ministry would be the largest of all the Ministries and be divided further into numerous departments with responsibilities ranging from healthcare to education. However, the Department of Education that would be created by the Ministry of Internal Affairs would not directly control the education system of Kumania. Instead it will mostly be existing to figure out how education funds shall be divided up. A Council of Educators is also a possibility so those who educate the people are the ones who make the decisions in regard to how the people they educate are educated. And finally, top doctors have warned of a virus that has recently made a comeback in nations closer to the equator. This virus affects pregnant women and the fetuses that grow inside of them. If the fetus contracts the virus, their head will be smaller and it will be more difficult for the future child to develop properly. Supporters of the creation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have used this recent outbreak as fuel for their campaign, arguing that the central body for health, which would be created by the proposed Ministry of Internal Affairs, would be excellent in finding methods to combat the virus. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

29 January 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. Parliament today ratified the trade agreement with Latrovia with an overwhelming majority in support. Speaker Michelle Michaels was quoted as saying, "This deal is a historic step in improving relations with the Latrovians. Sure we already have a huge base in Latrovia and they a huge base here, but nothing really happened between our two nations. However, now Latrovia's people have the opportunity to be enriched with some of Kumania's products, and our people the same with Latrovia's products." Supporters of this trade deal also recognize that it is in the best interest of Kumania to have a positive relationship with Latrovia since Kumania wants to be friends with everyone. King Jimmy notes, "After that horrible war with PLR and Arctic States last fall, we must do everything we can to interact with the global community peacefully. Any trade deals in the future will of course make sure the Kumanian economy is not harmed, but both the economy and the people may prosper. We have built up one of the greatest military forces in the world, and now it is time to expand Kumania's influence economically." With a majority of the provincial legislatures having ratified the Constitutional Amendment which would establish the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the governors of these provinces have begun making their decisions. More provincial legislatures are set to vote on the amendment Monday. The approval of the governors is the biggest obstacle to ratification, as only governors of provinces that have had their legislatures ratify the amendment may participate in the ratification process. A bill was introduced in Parliament today by a representative from Newfoundland that would rename St. John's to St. Thomas and St. Pierre to Reeds. The local municipal governments of both cities approved such a bill of renaming a month ago. A bill has also been proposed from a representative from Prince Edward Island to rename the province to Princess Gloria Island, with a note that the name shall be changed to Queen Gloria Island when the Crown Princess ascends the Throne. And finally, an aid of King Jimmy has announced that elections for Parliament shall occur sometime in March or April. This news is a sign of relief from numerous members of Parliament who have been uneasy about the upcoming elections. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

30 January 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. King Jimmy returned home from Latrovia this morning. When he returned to the Royal Palace, he announced that he intends to meet with the President of PLR in the near future, in an attempt to strengthen relations with the Arab nation. PLR has undergone several regime changes in the past year, with the most recent being the appointment of their new President just a couple days ago. Parliament today overwhelmingly voted in favor of renaming St. John's, St. Pierre, and Prince Edward Island to St. Tom, Reeds, and Princess Gloria Island respectfully. As the voting had more than 2/3 in favor, the approval of King Jimmy is not needed since the 2/3 majority overrules any ruling King Jimmy would give. King Jimmy also announced that he and his daughter Gloria will meet with the leaders of Parliament on Tuesday, 2 February. This meeting will hopefully clarify what powers King Jimmy wants Parliament to grant the Crown Princess. It is expected that if the leaders of Parliament do decide to allow the Crown Princess to have some power, it shall result in another Constitutional Amendment being proposed. Speaking of Constitutional Amendments, an amendment which would establish the Ministry of Internal Affairs is still being in the approval stage of the provincial legislatures.. All but two of the 15 provinces have had their legislatures vote on the amendment, with only the traditionally conservative provinces of Kenora, Hudson, Saguenay, Labradour, and Anticosti being the provinces to vote against ratification. Those five provincial legislatures had emergency voting sessions today as they apparently could not wait until Monday. The only provincial legislatures that haven't voted on the amendment yet are Newfoundland and Miquelon. Meanwhile, the governors of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Erie, and Princess Gloria Island have announced their intention to approve the amendment. A simple majority of 8 governors is needed to send the amendment to King Jimmy for final ratification. And finally, a demonstration has begun in Quebec that demands French being an official language of Kumania as a majority of the ordinary populace of Quebec, Miquelon, and Anticosti speaks French. French is the official language of the regular citizenry of Kedalistan. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

31 January 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. We are broadcasting live from Kenora, a short distance from the border with Arctic States. Tragedy struck the Arctic States yesterday, and King Jimmy's stay in Kumania City was cut short as he traveled here to Kenora as soon as possible to address the media and the public. KNN International was present at his speech earlier this afternoon: "My friends, these past two days have been among the darkest for relations between the Kumanian and Arctican people. As you are all aware of by now, terrorists who allegedly did their horrible actions in the name of the Royal Republic of Kumania attacked Dymaxion yesterday. They set off a small but still deadly nuclear bomb which so far has claimed the lives of over 700 Arcticans, including President Marx. It is currently unknown if these terrorists are still at large, but I've pledged to our Arctican friends that we will aid them in every way possible, whether it be capturing these terrorists, or rebuilding the affected areas. "I must make it clear to everyone listening: these terrorists are not Kumanians. Kumanians are better than this. Kumanians are a normally peaceful group of people. No true Kumanian would do such an atrocity as the one that happened yesterday. So I plea to the international community: stop labeling these terrorists as Kumanians. Call them what they truly are: terrorists. "It has come to my attention that there has been a lot of backlash against Kumanian expats living across the border in Arctic States and other nations abroad. I make another plea to those who are severely angry about this tragedy: please do not take your anger out on my people! For the time being, I'm ordering all Kumanians who are currently abroad to return home. The Ministry of Defense will be in charge of this operation. I feel that for the time being, the only safe place for Kumanians to be is in Kumania. This deadly backlash is too great of a threat to my people and I shall do everything in my power to see to it that all Kumanians abroad that were free people yesterday before the attack will still be free people. Any attempt by foreign nations to oppress my people shall be met with disastrous consequences for any of these potential oppressors. "Let us not meet violence with more violence. These terrorists wanted to create a divide between the Kumanian people and the rest of the world. If we react to their terrible attack with hatred, then these terrorists have won. But if we stand together, their attack will be in vain. The lives lost yesterday shall not be forgotten. We will never forget this attack. We will overcome!" The Ministry of Defense released a statement earlier announcing that all of Kumania's borders have been closed until further notice. It was only the border with Arctic States that got closed, but now that order had been expanded. The Kumanian military is completely mobilized. The Royal Army has taken positions along all of Kumania's land borders, especially the one with Arctic States. Twelve starships of the Royal Space Force are positioned directly above us in Kenora if they are needed. It is rumored that the Space Force will be used to rescue any and all Kumanian citizens from abroad if foreign governments will not allow them to return home. And the Royal Navy has sent patrols north of the northern coast of Far West to protect Arctic States from any potential foreign attackers. Since much of the Hudson Bay is currently frozen, most supplies will have to be flown from New Searchlight to Dymaxion. King Jimmy has not heard back from the Arctican government yet, but it is assumed that the Arcticans will allow Kumania to aid them as much as possible, which will most likely include allowing the Royal Air Force and the Royal Space Force to transport supplies from New Searchlight to Dymaxion. The Kumanian anti-radiation tools will also be deployed throughout Arctic States and other infected areas to rid these areas of the toxic radiation. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos, live from Kenora. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day. |

1 February 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. We are finally back in our Kumania City studio. However, there can be no celebration as tensions between Arctic States and Kumania are rising exponentially. This morning, President Donald Ward declared himself "Chancellor of the Confederation of Arctic States", and reorganized the government into a neo-fascist type. All Kumanians in Arctic States have been expelled from the unstable nation, and anti-Kumanian sentiment is the strongest it's ever been. King Jimmy earlier today ordered the Arctic States Embassy in Thunder Bay to be closed indefinitely, with all workers being deported back to Arctic States. He's also ordered the border with Arctic States to be closed indefinitely. A ban on Arctic States passport holders is also now in effect. This all happening as the leaders of Kumania and Arctic States, as well as any other nations who wish to attend, will be meeting in Chertkovo this week to discuss peace. King Jimmy said, "While this new nationalist regime in Arctic States spooks me, I still recognize it as the government of Arctic States. Embassies and direct diplomacy probably won't exist between our two nations for some time, but nevertheless this regime is the only governmental body in Arctic States with any authority." Meanwhile, Poltovaria and PLR have both recognized and accepted this new regime with open arms, something that frightens King Jimmy a lot. The government of Oak Leaf earlier today declared its support for the Kumanian people during these hard times. Nancy Maldew declared that all Kumanians will be welcome in her country. King Jimmy is grateful for the support of Oak Leaf, and hopes that other nations will express support for his innocent people, whom have been given a bad reputation the past couple days. In other news, protests in support of recognizing French as an official language have spread to cities and towns throughout Quebec, Saguenay, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Princess Gloria Island, Miquelon, Anticosti, and Labradour. The only province in the eastern half of Kumania to not have any reported demonstrations is Newfoundland, as there is almost nonexistent French-speaking presence in that province. In Nova Scotia, and outside of Quebec City, the largest demonstration is happening here in Kumania City at the Grand Parade, the prime square in Kumania City, which is only a block away from Parliament Hall, surrounded by the Kumania City Hall and the Nova Scotia Capitol on the north and south ends respectively. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

2 February 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. The government of Arctic States today announced a pact with the People's Liberation Republic. This comes as diplomatic meetings are currently being held in Arctic States after the terrorist attack last weekend. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied that this new pact is of any threat to the Kumanian people as PLR and Kumania already have a non-aggression pact. A new radical movement that has gained attention in the past couple days since the attack has organized itself into the Kumanian Imperialist Party. These self-proclaimed nationalists seek to take over Parliament, replace the King, and annex the neighboring nations of Far West and Arctic States. However, most of their hatred is against Arctic States. While this movement has not caused any serious trouble lately, the Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz announced that she would suggest to King Jimmy to postpone the scheduled Parliament elections until this fascist movement has died down. She added that this movement would only harm Kumania's reputation in the international community, especially as most as ignoring the fact that Arctic States is currently being run by a fascist hate-filled government. So far, the only gatherings of the KIP have occurred in the border provinces of Kenora, Hudson, Saguenay, and Labradour. A bill was officially proposed in Parliament today that would nationally recognize French as an official language of the Royal Republic of Kumania. News of this caused massive celebration in several cities with demonstrations currently occurring in support. However, leaders of these demonstrations have proclaimed that they will not abandon their demonstrations until this bill has become signed into law. And finally, the Governors of Nova Scotia, Princess Gloria Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Erie, Huron, and Superior ratified the Ministry of Internal Affairs Constitutional Amendment today. The legislatures of Nova Scotia and Miquelon also voted in favor. Now the amendment will be sent to King Jimmy for final approval. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

3 February 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. King Jimmy, all the way from Chertkovo, has announced that the unknown Parliament elections will be postponed indefinitely. He also fears the spread of this fascist Kumania Imperialist Party, and hopes that absolutely no one in his nation will vote the KIP into Parliament. He said, "Kumania is a nation that is much above silly hatred. It has come to my attention that in reaction to the negative reaction to the terrorist attack in Dymaxion, some people who wish to call themselves 'Kumanians' have begun spreading hate against our neighbors. I condemn such actions as being immature and unneeded. Kumania desperately needs to improve its image after being heavily slandered this past week, and this hate group only will make it much more difficult." The Speaker of Parliament, Michelle Michaels, announced that the Royal Parliament will vote on the bill that would recognize French as an official language on Friday. This bill was proposed by a Libertarian Socialist MP from Quebec. With the Libertarian Socialists having control of Parliament, especially with the Libertarian Socialist MP Michaels as Speaker of Parliament, it is good news for supporters of the cause as the approval of the Speaker almost always guarantees passage. Spring training games are scheduled to begin in Merlinton at the end of the month. The KNLB teams have traveled to Merlinton during March for the past several years to hold their preseason games. However, the deal that allows this is set to expire after this season, so KNLB officials will need to renegotiate with Merlintonian officials or find a new place to hold their games. It is always preferred that these games occur in warmer areas as even southern Erie is too cold during March for the players in these games to play properly. And finally, the Ministry of Defense has completed its work on securing the western border with Arctic States. Absolutely no one will be able to get in or out at that border. The Ministry also announced that when the ice in the Hudson Bay thaws, more naval ships shall be deployed in the area to secure Kumania's maritime border with Arctic States. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

4 February 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. The Kumanian Handegg League announced today that there shall be major changes within the League for next season. These changes will include lowering or raising the number of teams to either 28 or 32, changing the lineups of teams in each division, and other minor changes. It is speculated that if the League expands to 32 teams, Quebec and Montreal will be getting the two extra teams. However, if the League shrinks to 28 teams, it has been reported that Charlottetown, Port-Menier, Toronto, Kumania City, and Thunder Bay have all been considered for losing teams. This comes as the joint charter between the KHL and the KNBL is set to expire next month. The two leagues have announced that they wish to continue on in different paths. From inception thru the present day, the KHL and KNBL have had the same number of teams, same locations, and same divisional lineups. This change is expected to cause only western teams to be in western divisions, only central teams in central divisions, and only eastern teams in eastern divisions. This change is heavily supported by teams from western Kumania who were disappointed that the western-most team in the KHL playoffs this year was from Toronto. The KNBL still has the opportunity to change up their divisions before the regular season begins. Meanwhile, members of the nationalist Kumanian Imperialist Party are set to hold their first meeting tonight in Moosonee. It is expected that this meeting will be met with little protest as Hudson is a right-wing safe-haven since the Conservative Party has held power in the northern province for decades. And finally, all Arcticans that expressed interest in leaving Kumania for Arctic States have finished being deported. This deportation mission was done with 100% stealth as Kumanians are not welcome in Arctic States. However, it is estimated that roughly 50,000 Arcticans who had been in Kumania since the terrorist attack in Dymaxion have renounced their Arctican citizenship and applied for Kumanian citizenship. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

5 February 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. Twelve people are dead after a shootout at the first meeting of the Kumanian Imperialist Party in Moosonee last night, with another 20 injured. Witnesses say that the shootout began after a massive disagreement on whether the party should prioritize annexing Far West or Arctic States first upon a hypothetical takeover of the Kumanian government. The four main founders of the party were all killed during the shootout, so a power vacuum is forming within the party. It is rumored that the party might be splitting in two, with the Western Imperialists in favor of annexing Arctic States and the Eastern Imperialists in favor of annexing Far West. So far no Kumanian or Hudsonian government officials have made any comments on the shooting. This was the first mass shooting in Kumania in several years. The leaders of Parliament have begun searching far and wide for the perfect Minister of Internal Affairs as it is expected that King Jimmy will give his Royal Stamp of Approval on the Constitutional Amendment that would establish the Ministry of Internal Affairs when he returns home from Chertkovo. An aid to King Jimmy announced that His Majesty will be returning home tomorrow after a long week in Chertkovo. Apparently, no one from the Arctic States showed up, so the diplomatic meeting was strictly between King Jimmy and President Azman. King Jimmy expressed his immense frustration with the Arctican government to this aid. And finally, the Kumanian Handegg League has announced that next season the two leagues will be transformed into two currently unnamed conferences. The Kumanian National Baseball League revealed its new lineup of divisions today which will be in effect immediately. Western Kumanian sports fans rejoiced as finally it appears that they can be represented in the playoffs. There hasn't been any team from western Kumania that has made a playoff appearance in over a decade. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |

6 February 2016 This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos! Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories. King Jimmy returned home from Chertkovo this afternoon. He ignored the press when he landed at Kumania City International Airport. He looked as though he had a lot of work to do when he somewhat ran off of his plane. However, he was in a hurry to return home to the Royal Palace as the Constitutional Amendment which would establish the Ministry of Internal Affairs was waiting on his desk to be signed. It's expected that Jimmy will explain and answer questions about his visit to PLR later this week. Two hours after he landed, King Jimmy invited all of Kumania's media outlets to the Royal Palace to witness him sign the amendment, thus establishing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. His Majesty will need to meet with Parliament soon to discuss who shall be nominated as the new Minister of Internal Affairs. Parliament Speaker Michelle Michaels announced that certain MPs were nearly done compiling their list of potential candidates. However, it is usual that King Jimmy will present Parliament with his own list of potential candidates. Parliament today passed a bill in a landslide vote that would recognize French as an official language and Kumania and thus require all government documents henceforth to be printed in both English and French. As the bill was passed with well over 2/3 of the vote needed to overrule any veto by King Jimmy, it is automatically law. The law also encourages media outlets to begin publishing in both languages, but it is not mandatory. Every broadcast of every program on KNN International is already translated into the native languages of all the countries we broadcast in. And finally, the Kumania Bowl is tomorrow night. The Fredericton Fighters will take on the Quebec Runners in this national championship game of the Kumanian Handegg League. Kickoff will be at 7:30 pm Atlantic Standard Time(AST)/8:00 pm Newfoundland Standard Time(NST)/6:30 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)/5:30 pm Central Standard Time (CST). The Royal Families of both Kumania and Latrovia will be in attendance. The game will be held in Kumania City's Stadium of the Royal Republic, the home stadium of the Kumania City Queens. It is expected that while the stadium is neutral ground, it will be like an away game for the Fighters since the Fighters narrowly defeated the Queens two weeks ago. And that concludes our broadcast! I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day! |
