This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Former Arctic States Chancellor Donald Ward was transported from Latrovia to the Province of Kenora Maximum Security Prison today as the trial of Donald Ward will most likely begin tomorrow or Friday. Kumanian Chief Justice Brittany Reed has already arrived in Kenora to be the Kumanian representative on the Tribunal of Five which will include one representative from Kumania, Arctic States, Latrovia, PLR, and Oak Leaf. Since Kumania is the host of this high profile trial, Chief Justice Reed outlined the rules for the trial. The Tribunal of Five will preside over the trial and then be the ones to decide Ward's fate. Other nations will be allowed to send representatives but only those who are a part of the Tribunal of Five will have any real say in deciding the fate of Donald Ward.

Arab Caliph Azman declared his support for the Crescent and other Arab nationalist militant groups. In response, King Jimmy has released the following statement:

"For the past couple months, Kumania has tried to improve relations with the Peoples Liberation Republic. My government condemned the recent rise of anti-Arab sentiment and turned our cheeks when Arabs in PLR reacted with hate of their own. However, this announcement of support by Caliph Azman is an insult to Kumania. When the Kumanian embassy in Chertkovo was burned down by those angry rioters, I ordered for the Arab embassy here in Kumania City to be protected by my military.

"However, I can see that Azman no longer treasures strong ties with the Kumanians. It appears that he'd rather build a cult of personality among a bunch of radial violent nationalists than improve the image of his nation. So upon this appearance, I am hereby severing ties with the Peoples Liberation Republic. As of right now, the Royal Kumanian Army troops that I have had stationed outside the Arab embassy will be entering the embassy and arresting everyone inside to be deported back to their homeland. I am also authorizing the Ministry of Internal Affairs Department of Immigration and Customs to ban anyone with an Arab passport from entering our country as it no longer appears that the majority of Arabs have a positive mindset of Kumania and therefore it is too dangerous to allow them into this nation. The border with Arctic States will also be closed at once.

"Also, I will be authorizing the immediate deportation of all Arab tourists who are currently in Kumania. However, any Arabs that wish to apply for asylum will have their requests heard. I pride myself in being the leader of such a great country that is scientifically advanced and values life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, democracy, balance, and peace above all other things. It is fort he best that Kumania and PLR go their own separate ways. Kumania does not have intentions of world domination. Kumania respects the unalienable rights of all people. And Kumania does not stoop so low to please a bunch of deranged radical violent militant nationalists. Kumania only wants peace, democracy, liberty, and balance in the world. Unfortunately, Caliph Azman and I do not agree on those values.

"Kumania would like to be friendly with PLR again in the future, but unfortunately right now that just can't happen. As I'm speaking these words the Royal Kumanian Space Force is undergoing a dangerous mission to rescue all Kumanians currently inside PLR as PLR is a dangerous land for people who share these Kumanian values. There are those who respect liberty, democracy, peace, and balance, and there are those who do not. Azman does not respect those values and it seems apparent that his citizens don't either or else they would be revolting right now and overthrow his ass. Ignorance among your citizens is bliss for you if you are a tyrannical dictator. And boy does Azman seem more blissful than ever!

"In conclusion, I wish the best for the citizens of PLR. I hope my assumptions about their government are wrong. However, I'd like to remind everyone that I did visit PLR just a few weeks ago and was hosted by Azman and it's unbelievable what I saw. PLR is not a friendly land to those of us who prefer to live in a better world of liberty, peace, balance, and democracy. There will be no restrictions enacted upon the Arab representative that will attend Donald Ward's trial. However, only this representative will be allowed to attend. I pray that my people do not resort to the low levels of hatred as Azman's have. Thank you and may Kumania be eternally blessed!"

The RKSF mission went successfully and all Kumanians who were in PLR have since been rescued. As of now, the complex in which the Arabs had their embassy is completely empty and unguarded. However, local firefighters have set up a little base nearby to put out any fires in case any rioters come along and decide to burn down the embassy. The firefighters probably won't put out the fire at the embassy, but are there mostly to protect the surrounding buildings from any potential fire that may break out.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

A series of simultaneous peace marches occurred across Calofas today. The purpose of these demonstrations was to spread peace and unity among different cultures. The rise of hate in PLR and the response to that hate was declared as a direct cause of these demonstrations. The leader of Calofas, Alderic Wolfe, praised these marches while reaffirming Calofas' long history of being a melting pot of different peoples and different cultures. King Jimmy also praised the marches, saying, "The Calofasian people have set the standard in how everyone should act when hate is spread. Instead of rioting in the streets and terrorizing foreign people from foreign lands, the Calofasians spread peace and unity instead. If only the people of PLR could act this way, then I would not have had to sever ties with that nation. I encourage my people to follow what the people of Calofas have done. Don't give those abroad who hate us a reason to hate us. Show them that we still want good things with them. If we combat this anti-Kumanian sentiment with love, then that hatred will be crushed!"

King Galloway of Handland visited Chertkovo to witness his daughter's marriage to one of Caliph Azman's sons. There was a military parade after in celebration of the marriage and the rise in excellent relations between PLR and Handland. In response, King Jimmy has severed ties with Handland, calling them a "threat to democracy and liberty". The Handlandians working in the Handlandian embassy in Toronto were evicted by local authorities and immediately put on a plane back to Handland. Kumanians who were currently in Handland were also rescued by the Royal Kumanian Space Force. The Kumanian embassy in Handland was also evacuated during this rescue operation and all Kumanians who were in Handland or PLR have safely made it home. Like PLR, all citizens and passport holders of Handland have been banned from entering Kumania and increased security has been ordered at all Kumanian ports of entry to make sure absolutely no Arab or Handlandian people or agents enter Kumania. King Jimmy released a statement that said, "I regret having to order the cutting of ties with Handland, but it appears that they are working with a government that is possibly in an ideological war with Kumania. There is no war with PLR. I don't want war. But PLR does not like Kumania so I will be doing everything possible to make sure that Kumania and its people remain safe and strong."

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

After serious threats were made by Donald Ward regarding a possible attack on Kumania by the presumed dead Synths, King Jimmy has boosted security in Kenora. However, Jimmy clarified that the boost in security was mostly due to the high profile trial that's to take place soon. This has done nothing to quell speculation that the Kumanian government is becoming extremely paranoid about a foreign attack on Kumania. An extra 100,000 troops of the Royal Army were sent to Kenora today to boost the security, and six Kumanian starships also positioned themselves above the western border to prevent any invasion or attack coming from Arctic States.

Dozens of members of the Balkan Confederation Parliament were arrested today. A top Confederate military official clarified that since the arrested MPs were members of certain political parties now deemed a security risk to the peace and stability of the nation, they had to be removed. Since the arrests were made, the Confederate Parliament was disbanded and the Confederate government announced that elections would take place soon. King Jimmy has not commented on the matter, but it could be expected that he is suspicious of these recent events that have occurred in the Balkan Confederation.

The meeting in Axeldonia concerning peace and stability in the Mediterranean concluded today. Kumanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Julian Basque was seen exiting the meeting hall with a smile on his face. This smile could mean only one thing that the Axeldonians have either completely agreed to hold a referendum in their occupied territory or they are strongly considering it. As of this broadcast, Minister Basque is on his way home and is expected to hold a press conference tomorrow or Sunday regarding the meeting.

And finally, opening day for the Kumanian Football League is tomorrow. All 408 regular season games were officially sold out a few weeks ago. Kumania City FC, last season's national champion, will be looking to go back-to-back this year. However, top sports analysts have regrded Toronto FC as the biggest threat to Kumania City FC's chances at a repeat.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories

Civil war has broken out in the Balkan Confederation after the Confederate government's crackdown on Liberals. Fuhrmania and the E.S.S.R. have sent their militaries to assist the Confederate government in defeating the rebels. Meanwhile, the PLR has sent Crescent fighters and Arabian Knights to fight for the rebels. The government of Oak Leaf has also declared its support of the rebels. Kumanian Minister of Foreign Affairs announced that Kumania will stay out of the conflict and not publicly support either side and not send aid to either side. However, the Kumanian government will privately support the side that promotes the same values that Kumania promotes such as liberty, democracy, equality, and peace.

The Roman government has invited Aghrabian diplomats to a meeting in Greznjev to discuss several topics concerning the two nations, but most especially the referendum for the Occupied Territory. Among the Aghrabian diplomats to be sent to Greznjev was Premier Aleksandr Sarkov. The Kumanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised this move as "a huge step closer to peace between the two nations".

Oak Leaf has sent its Secretary of Defense to Kenora to be the Oaklander representative on the Tribunal of Five, which will oversee the Trial of Donald Ward, the former Chancellor of Arctic States. The trial is scheduled to begin when the representatives from Latrovia and PLR arrive in Kenora. Security is at its highest level that it's ever been in Kenora due to the trial.

And finally, the third leaders debate was held tonight in Kenora. With the debate being held in a right-wing stronghold and broadcast on Kumania's largest right-wing news station, it was mostly a debate between Conservative Gary Paul and Imperialist Mark Swanson. A poll taken immediately after found that there was a tie between Swanson and Paul for who won the debate. Liberal Gerald Black, Libertarian Socialist Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands, and Communist Kevin Bluecheese were all escorted by security when they were in Kenora.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories

Imperialist Mark Swanson arrived in Kumania City today for the first time in his life ahead of Tuesday night's debate here. Swanson announced that he still plans on holding an anti-Arab rally here in Kumania City tomorrow. This rally has drawn criticism from practically everyone that isn't an Imperialist. Even the Conservative leadership has condemned this action. Since Kumania City is a seemingly rather unfriendly environment for Mr. Swanson, he was escorted by security everywhere he went today. In the general election, it is predicted that Swanson's party will get absolutely no votes in Kumania City. It has been speculated that most likely nobody who lives in Kumania City will participate in his rally tomorrow. Meanwhile both Liberal Gerald Black and Libertarian Socialist Speaker of Parliament were in Newfoundland today for campaign events. It is predicted that Newfoundland will be a close contest between the Liberals and Libertarian Socialists in the general election. Conservative Gary Paul was in Princess Gloria Island to campaign. Communist Kevin Bluecheese was in Erie for a campaign event.

The war in Balkan Confederation escalated further today as the first PLR-backed troops arrived in the nation to aid the rebels. Meanwhile, the government of Lower Midland announced that it plans to aid the Confederate government and begin carpet bombing the rebels. The government of Smuglyanka declared that it will send humanitarian end to both sides. The Calofasian fleet in the North Atlantic has been put on high alert due to the outbreak of war. The Roman government condemned the outbreak of war, and together with the government of Oak Leaf, has called for a ceasefire. King Jimmy has announced his intention to make a formal speech regarding the civil war in Balkan Confederation, and is expected to deliver this speech tomorrow.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Lower Midland launched a surprise attack and invasion on Fuhrmania today. The coasts of Ireland were captures in the initial assault. The Fuhrmanian military responded by launching a counterattack to take back the Irish coasts from Lower Midland. So far, King Jimmy is the only leader to denounce the invasion, calling the invasion "barbaric and quite uncivilized". However, the Blobfishian government announced its support for Lower Midland, and so did the Calofasian government. The entire Calofasian navy in the North Atlantic has since been mobilized.

The Balkan Confederate military launched a massive offensive against the Balkan rebels today. The leaders of the rebellion declined Oak Leaf's calls for a ceasefire while the Confederate government expressed great interest in talks of a ceasefire. One million Fuhrmanian troops landed in Balkan Confederation today to assist the Confederate government's quest to destroy the rebellion.

And finally, Imperialist Mark Swanson hosted an anti-Arab march in Kumania City Today. An estimated 1,000 people showed up, all from either Kenora or Hudson. Countless Arab flags were burned during the event, which was described by some marchers as "revenge for burning the glorious flag of Kumania". The march was heavily condemned by practically everyone in the Kumanian government.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Lower Midland surrendered its entire army after the Fuhrmanian military recaptured Ireland and the Second Roman Republic threatened to send an advanced wizard to Fuhrmania to destroy both Fuhrmania and Lower Midland. After the surrender, the Fuhrmanian government proposed extreme terms of surrender that would practically put every inch of life in Lower Midland under control of the Fuhrmanians. The terms were rejected by multiple nations, including Kumania, Calofas, Handland, and Lower Midland.

Oak Leaf has extended an invitation to everyone around the world for a meeting regarding a possible ceasefire in the Balkan Confederation conflict. The invitation is apparently mainly for both sides directly involved in the conflict, but anyone will be allowed to attend. However, the Oaklander government has guaranteed that protection will not be given to anyone who attends the conference.

Arab Caliph Azman gave a speech in Chertkovo today that wasn't really different from any other speeches he's given. The speech was mostly Azman boasting about his undemocratic regime, with some bashing of Kumania and other "western" nations. It was mostly a speech full of rhetoric not really backed up by facts. So the typical crap you hear from Azman today. The Arab government hoped that this speech would be a significant speech, but it's been mostly ignored by the international community, especially the Kumanian government. Absolutely no one in the Kumanian government has released a statement regarding the Caliph's speech.

The fourth leaders debate was held tonight in Kumania City. Libertarian Socialist Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands fired back after a mostly silent performance in Saturday night's debate. Once again, the spotlight was mostly between Speaker Sands and Liberal Gerald Black. An online poll conducted shortly after the conclusion of the debate found that viewers liked Sand's performance the most and therefore she was the winner of the debate.

And finally, former Arctic States Chancellor Donald Ward was found dead in his cell today. After a surprising rebirth of the Synths with multiple attacks on Arab and Crescent troops stationed in Dymaxion shortly after, the Kumanian military was mobilized to Kenora province. An extra 400,000 troops of the Royal Army moved to the region. King Jimmy allegedly gave an order for Ward to be executed, but when the Kumanian troops arrived at Ward's cell, Ward was found dead of asphyxiation by hanging. Ward's corpse was transported onto a shuttle and taken into space and launched from the shuttle, while being mutilated a little bit. Also, King Jimmy offered to aid the Arabs in the fight against the Synths, noting that the Kumanians and Arabs share a dangerous common enemy in the Synths.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Arctic States Crisis has escalated exponentially in the past 24 hours. The Oaklander Secretary of Defense was evacuated from Kenora just before PLR launched several nuclear missiles at targets inside Arctic States to destroy the Synths. The Kumanian government called for an end to the use of these nuclear weapons shortly after, noting the toxic threat that nuclear radiation poses to Kumania. Thousands of scientists have already descended upon Kenora province to rid the area of any nuclear fallout. Latrovia deployed numerous Iron Troops into Arctic States, but the Synths destroyed these Iron Troops. The Synths then turned their attention on Blobfish instead of Kumania, and are currently laying siege to several Blobfishian border towns. The Aghrabian military requested permission to pass through Kumania in order to combat the Synths, and permission was granted by King Jimmy, who declared that "Kumania will welcome anyone and everyone on their way to destroy the Synths."

On a much lighter note, several nations have declared their intention to colonize the Moon. The Pommonwealth was the first to bring forth the idea. Blobfish, the Martian Arcticans, the Second Roman Republic, Aghrabia, PLR, and Kumania have all announced intense interest. King Jimmy declared that he will have the Royal Parliament vote on the matter before Kumanians make any moves. However, it is expected that Parliament will vote overwhelmingly in favor of Lunar Colonization.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Royal Parliament overwhelmingly voted in favor of establishing a Kumanian colony on the Moon. The final vote was 261-14. With this near-unanimous vote, the effort to establish a Lunar colony will begin immediately as King Jimmy's approval or disapproval on the subject won't be needed. The lone nay votes belonged to 2 Conservative MPs and 12 Communist MPs. Everyone else voted in favor. All of the Libertarian Socialists voted in favor allegedly because of the "great potential for scientific advancement" while the Conservatives almost unanimously voted in favor allegedly because of "the opportunity to show the world that Kumania will always take part in huge and important events". It has been alleged that the Kumanian Lunar Colony will be set up on the Lunar North Pole.

For more on the story, we have His Majesty Himself, King Jimmy! Hello Your Majesty.

KJ: Hello. It's good to be here.

SB: So Your Majesty. Kumania is about to expand its borders outside of Earth. What are your thoughts on this achievement?

KJ: It's a great day for Kumania. I'm glad Parliament overwhelmingly voted in favor. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will be working with the Ministry of Defense to set up this colony.

SB: Will the Ministry of Defense only be involved to provide the transportation via their starships? Or do you plan to have an actual military presence on the Moon?

KJ: If Kumania was the only nation on the Moon, we would not need to have soldiers residing in the colony to provide protection. However, as everyone already knows, several other nations have declared their intent to establish a colony on the Moon. But regardless, there would still need to be law enforcement. Sure you might say "It's the Moon, it doesn't need any law". Kumanian law exists wherever Kumanians exist. Just because this territory is not directly accessible by land or sea doesn't mean that it won't be a part of civilization. This colony will be far more civilized than what remains of Arctic States.

SB: So about Arctic States and other nations laying claim to the Moon. How do you plan on interacting with them?

KJ: I like the Arcticans. The Synths aren't Arcticans and the Synths will never ever leave this planet without their soul being cast into Hell upon death. I look forward to cooperating with the others who will civilize the Moon. I understand PLR has declared their intention to have a colony. I say why the hell not. It'll bring more diversity to the Moon. Perhaps it can allow the Arabs to seek peace and cooperation with us instead of what they're doing right now.

SB: So a quick question about military presence on the Moon. Do you plan on creating a massive military spaceport on the Moon which could be used to possibly construct more starships?

KJ: That information is classified. I cannot confirm nor deny that such an elaborate facility would be constructed. The purpose of this colonization mission is to expand Kumanian scientific influence. I'm actually shocked we hadn't thought of this before. Kudos to the Pommonwealth for practically putting this idea in our minds. I'm sure the fleet assigned to protect the Kumanian Lunar Colony will respect the Pommonwealth's claim and never dare to intrude.

SB: So has our government begun searching for colonial candidates?

KJ: We won't select people to move to the colony. If people wanna pack their bags and move to our new colony on the Moon, then they have every right to.

SB: It is indeed nice living in the society that we live in where we the people are able to do practically anything we want without fear of losing everything.

KJ: That is what should happen in every country. If one aspires to go to the Moon, well they should definitely have the opportunity to fulfill that dream! It's tragic when great dreams never become reality.

SB: Perhaps KNN will someday open an affiliate in the colony.

KJ: That'd be something else!

SB: So any ideas on the potential name for the colony?

KJ: We will allow the residents who establish this colony to decide the name. With the exception of Kumania City, every Kumanian city has been named by the residents within.

SB: And that sounds like an excellent plan! Thank you for joining us Your Majesty.

KJ: Just call me Jimmy. And it was nice to be here.

SB: King Jimmy everyone!

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Handland is the most recent nation to announce its intention for colonizing the Moon. An estimated 1,000 people will be sent to the Moon to start the Handlandian colony. Meanwhile, Calofas has announced its intention to be fully cooperative with the Pommonwealth and aid them if they ever need help.

The government of Oak Leaf has declared that a referendum regarding whether the nation should go to war with Balkan Confederation will take place. This comes after the Oaklander government has alleged that all of their peace attempts have been ignored by the Confederates. A window of 24 hours has apparently been given to the Confederates to respond to the Oaklander government's peace attempts. If no contact is made, then most likely Oak Leaf will declare war on Balkan Confederation.

The Roman military began launching attacks on the Latrovian military in Arctic States and around the world after the Latrovians allegedly appeared to be a bigger threat than the Synths. The Kumanian government condemned the outbreak of conflict between the S.S.R. and Latrovia, noting that disunity would allow the Synths to win and asked for both sides to recognize the sovereignty and neutrality of Kumania. However, the Latrovians took offense to this announcement and removed all of its troops that were allegedly protecting Kumania from the Synths.

King Jimmy was outraged at the apparent lack of respect from the Latrovians, and issued a statement saying, "...the Kumanians did not ask for this protection. Kumania has starships. Kumania doesn't need protection from anyone. Kumania isn't at much of a threat right now anyways since the Synths are focusing their attention on Blobfish instead of Kumania in recent days. However, the Kumanian military is still present in full force to protect the western border from any Synth attack. Kumania's conflict is with the Synths. The Kumanians won't be distracted by a silly conflict between the Latrovians and Axeldonians. Let the Latrovians be salty about Kumania declaring neutrality in a fight that doesn't directly involve them. Kumania doesn't seek to participate in conflicts that never involved Kumania in the first place. If the Latrovians are offended by a simple declaration asking both sides to respect the sovereignty of Kumania during their silly exchange, then so be it!"

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Calofasian authorities are currently searching for a Dr. Emilia Poulin. Today, an arrest warrant was issued for Poulin. She has been accused of several crimes, including fraud and treason. All Calofasian air traffic was shut down shortly after the announcement of the warrant being issued. However, it has been speculated that Dr. Poulin has fled the country as Calofasian police were allegedly spotted at Port de Triomphe International Airport shortly before the air traffic was halted. The last flight to leave Calofas was a flight to Greznjev. Since if Poulin did flee Calofas but went to S.S.R., the Kumanian government has not offered any assistance to the Calofasians since the incident currently does not involve Kumanians in any way.

The general election is only two weeks away and the fifth leader's debate was held tonight in Reeds. For the first time in any of these debates, Communist Kevin Bluecheese actively participated in the conversation of the debate. Most of the attention and debating was between Kevin Bluecheese and Libertarian Socialist Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands. For more analysis, we are joined by our senior elections expert, Dr. Frank Burlington.

SB: Hello and welcome back Frank.

FB: The election is right around the corner Sally! Are you hyped yet?

SB: Haha I actually am Frank. This election is appearing to be one for the history books. Now, Miquelon is a fairly small province with only around 1,200,000 people. Miquelon sends six MPs to Parliament. And yet Reeds was able to be host to one of the eight leaders debates for this election cycle. Why should Kumania care about Miquelon Frank?

FB: Well, for a long time, Miquelon has been a safe province for the Libertarian Socialists. Miquelon is one of the most left-wing provinces in all of Kumania. But it's overwhelmingly voted for the LSP instead of the Communists for the past several election cycles. But this is looking like it'll change. The reason for this is the Imperialist Party. The voters in Miquelon are indeed fairly left-wing in their ideologies. However, they see the Imperialists, and they are drawn to vote for an even more left-wing party which has claimed that it'll take care of this fascist threat. To those in Miquelon, the LSP just hasn't shown that it'd tackle these fascists as allegedly efficiently as the Communists. So that's why pretty much every single poll is showing that the Communists will win their first province in a general election in over a decade.

SB: And the LSP definitely doesn't want to lose even four seats to any party, even a party that's worked well with them most of the time.

FB: You could probably not count the most recent vote regarding the Moon colony, but perhaps that vote was a vote that was entirely political in nature. The majority of Communists voted against the bill simply to show the public that they are a party of their own. That Kumania has a multiparty parliament. And this move could possibly attract some voters who would've instead voted Liberal. The Liberals are the anti-establishment wing of the LSP that had split off from the party. Most of the Liberal Party identifies as centrist moderates, but there's also a lot of leftists within that party as well that are only registered in that party because they may be dissatisfied with the LSP. The Communists are trying to open up another front on the war against the LSP. Kevin Bluecheese showed tonight that the Communists will be an active participant in this election. And Paulina Sands quickly realized that.

SB: Yeah I think some of us were actually surprised that they showed down.

FB: Indeed. So we finally got a showdown between the Communists and the LSP. Now, it could probably be expected that the Communists won't win a majority in the Royal Parliament. They just don't have enough of that support. But still, winning any province sends a message of legitimacy. This election will decide which parties will remain legitimate for the next several election cycles. A major loss for any of the parties would spell certain doom for that party. Every party wants to win at least one province. A majority of these debates have been or will be hosted in provinces that will be a battleground for at least two parties. Superior will be a battle between the LSP, the Liberals, and the Conservatives. Kenora will be a battle between the Conservatives and the Imperialists. Miquelon will be a battle between the LSP and the Communists. Hudson will be a battle between the Conservatives and the Imperialists. And New Brunswick will be a battle between the LSP and the Liberals. Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia are obvious safe provinces for the LSP. I'm certain they only hosted debates because they're three of the four largest cities in the nation. There's no doubt that probably every city that hosts a debate will vote for the LSP or a Communist. They're urban. That's where leftist ideology practically thrives. Miquelon is mostly urban anyways. No wonder the Communists have such a great chance at winning there.

SB: So what about provinces like Newfoundland, Princess Gloria Island, Labradour, and Huron? Aren't they battleground provinces too?

FB: Princess Gloria Island is fairly split between liberal democratic socialist progressive ideology and conservative ideology. However, the Liberals will not win a single seat in the Royal Parliament from there. The people of that province rarely like change. I was actually legitimately surprised when they changed the name of their province. But not only do they not like change, but they don't like compromise. The Liberals are the definition of compromise. The Liberals are willing to sacrifice what they stand for to be able to say they got something done. They don't dig themselves into trenches to fight the war of politics. They cower at the sight of opposition. This is not an endorsement of any party, but it could be hypothesized that voting Liberal would practically be the same as voting Conservative. The Liberals and Conservatives could potentially form coalitions in several governments if need be. But then again, it's doubtful that many would want to coalition with the Liberals since they are so easily swayed. The Liberals would probably coalition with the Libertarian Socialists since they practically are of the LSP...they're just in revolt right now.

SB: So to all the Liberals watching right now who might be offended by what you say about them...what else would you want to say?

FB: Look, the Liberal Party is simply just a protest vote. People in Newfoundland love protest and rebellion. They've only held referendums for secession like eight times. They're first in the nation to submit results, but voters in Kenora most likely don't give a damn about what voters in Newfoundland want. Plus election day is a national holiday so it's rare that anyone would be casting votes in the final hour before poll closings at 8 pm local time. The Imperialists are most likely also a protest vote. They're dissatisfied with the repeated losses and increased irrelevance of the Conservative Party. Conservatism is pretty much nearly dead in Kumania. No one really wants to ban equal rights for diverse people and no one really cares that much about a deity running the nation and no one really craves small government that only exists so the nation isn't officially anarchy. Now a lumberjack in Hudson could condemn me, a journalist in urban Kumania City, for saying this, but I don't think much of it. The Imperialists could probably be the last breath of right-wing ideology in this nation.

SB: What about the Liberals?

FB: The Liberals most likely won't be relevant after this election. Sure both of these new parties might win provinces, but an election doesn't typically determine the rest of eternity. If these two parties do get seats in Parliament, they won't be able to accomplish anything. And then in two or so years when there's another election, no one will remember the Liberals or the Imperialists.

SB: Thank you for your analysis Frank!

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Oak Leaf declared war on Balkan Confederation and launched an invasion of the northeastern part of the country. The Oaklander government declared its intention to work with PLR and stated that they will be open to peace talks but only if the liberal rebels get fair representation in the Confederate government.

The fifth leaders debate was last night and the Libertarian Socialists are looking to avoid being dealt a major loss due to the rise of dissatisfaction with the LSP. Joining me is the leader of the Libertarian Socialist Party and Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands!

SB: Welcome Madame Speaker.

PS: Thank you for having me Sally.

SB: So, Speaker Sands, you are currently campaigning here in Kumania City today and tomorrow. So far most of the leaders have been campaigning in battleground provinces. So why would you be campaigning in Nova Scotia, a province that is undoubtedly a safe province for the LSP?

PS: Well, this election isn't just about electing a party. If the will of the people didn't matter, we wouldn't have elections. Sure Nova Scotia might be a province that allegedly has safe strong support for the LSP, but that doesn't mean that its residents should be passed over on the campaign trail. Nova Scotia may play host to the nation's capital, but it is still full of ordinary citizens. Kumanians don't vote blindly. It is always important to remember the base of the voters. I could imagine the Communist or Liberal rhetoric against the LSP about how we'd allegedly not care about voters in Nova Scotia and Quebec and Ontario and Erie among the several Kumanian provinces. The LSP cares about each and every province. That's why I intend to visit every single one of them on this campaign.

SB: So in contrast to you, your party's major rival, the Conservative Party, is only really having its leader campaign in eight provinces. And the Imperialists are campaigning strictly in the same eight provinces as the Conservatives. And then the Liberals are campaigning in 12 provinces while the Communists are campaigning in only seven provinces. Do you think this gives an advantage to your party?

PS: Well, it certainly shows that the LSP is a party of unity. Sure it may be a waste of time for the Conservatives to campaign in an overly LSP province like Ontario, but they should at least put in some effort in my opinion. They won't win if they don't at least try to win. Even if the Conservatives won all eight provinces that they're campaigning in, which is Kenora, Hudson, Huron, Superior, Saguenay, Labradour, Anticosti, and Newfoundland, they most likely wouldn't get a majority in the Royal Parliament. A great deal of the population lives in Erie, Ontario, Quebec, or Nova Scotia. That could possibly be the key to the success of the LSP in recent years. Until this election, those four provinces had only really gotten attention from the Communists and the LSP. Now you also got the Liberals, but it's still mostly the LSP that gives them attention so therefore they seem to go for the LSP.

SB: Would you say that the other parties should consider that it's fortunate that the general election is proportional and not winner-take-all?

PS: Well, it wouldn't really make much of a difference considering how Erie, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia overwhelmingly vote LSP.

SB: So the Conservatives aren't campaigning in Princess Gloria Island so far this election cycle. Do you expect that your party could win big there?

PS: No. The reason is, the voters of Princess Gloria Island hardly change their support. Even though the many Conservatives in the province are basically being ignored, they will still vote Conservative like they have the past several election cycles. But then the LSP would still win since the LSP does have a slight lead on the Conservatives there.

SB: Would you attempt to win over any of those Conservative voters in Princess Gloria Island and try to claim that the Conservatives are neglecting them?

PS: I'm no campaign adviser, but I'd probably suspect that the Liberals would try to do that tactic. Their main enemy is the LSP, but they are trying to win Conservatives too.

SB: Haha indeed. Well thank you for joining us Madame Speaker.

PS: It was my pleasure.

SB: Libertarian Socialist Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands everyone!

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The conflict in Balkan Confederation exploded today as both sides suffered tremendous casualties. PLR directly entered the war to support the rebels while Calofas entered the war to support the Confederate government. All of this has led to speculation over whether Kumania would enter the war. To talk about this speculation, I am joined by Kumanian Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz.

SB: Minister DeFronz it is good to see you.

HD: Thank you for having me.

SB: So Minister, the Kumanian government had stated its intention to remain neutral shortly after the outbreak of this conflict. However, it was made clear that Kumania would support the side that shares the same values of liberty and democracy as Kumania. So it would be assumed then that the Kumanian government supports the rebels?

HD: Alas, this conflict has become complex seemingly overnight. You have the authoritarian regime of PLR aiding the liberal rebels and you have the liberal democratic nation of Calofas supporting the corrupt Confederate government. Calofas is Kumania's #1 ally. So it makes sense that Calofas would join the side that Kumania's main rival is not on. But the thing that makes it complex is just the sides. One would expect that an authoritarian corrupt regime would support an authoritarian corrupt regime and that a nation that shares these Kumanian values would support these seemingly fighters for freedom.

SB: So you just mentioned PLR and called them corrupt and authoritarian. Would you like to make a guess on how many Kumanian flags their citizens will be burning after they view this broadcast?

HD: Hahahaha well I'm surprised that any Kumanian media would be able to be seen in PLR.

SB: Yeah it's just pirated.

HD: Ah. Well, unless you have other nations shipping in Kumanian flags to PLR or the Arabs are making Kumanian flags, I doubt that we will be seeing any more Kumanian flags burnt there. Like seriously there was a ton of those flags that were burned. I'd be surprised if they had any left.

SB: One would probably be wise to question the mentality of the Arabs if they dedicate so much time to getting fabric just to burn it.

HB: Indeed. Kumania has no time for such silly people. While the Arabs had been burning Kumanian flags and intervening in conflicts that there's no reason for them to participate in unless they want influence, Kumania's been over here making starships and sending people to the Moon and Mars.

SB: Would you guess that PLR is only aiding the rebels to gain influence with them and thus if the Confederate government is overthrown to make the Balkan nation a puppet state?

HB: Yeah that seems like the obvious move. PLR just doesn't surprise anyone anymore. We know their moves. They're so damn predictable.

SB: So, has the Ministry of Defense breathed a sigh of relief with the Arab troops no longer being present in Arctic States since the Synths killed them all?

HB: I'm sure the average Kumanian citizen has breathed a sigh of relief. But we at the Ministry don't need to. We have starships. If these Arab troops could be so easily defeated by a bunch of cyborgs, just imagine how quick the defeat would be i they were up against any Kumanian starship.

SB: Would the Kumanian government consider infiltrating the ranks of both sides in the conflict in Balkan Confederation to form a group that's loyal to Kumania?

HB: Kumania doesn't intervene in foreign conflicts that in no way have any direct effect on Kumanian lives and society.

SB: Would the Kumanian government try to persuade the Calofasians to change sides to support those who seemingly fight for the Kumanian values?

HB: Sally, that's a question for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to answer. If the Calofasians switched, it'd certainly make things a whole lot simpler. If Kumania was to fight in the civil war, it doesn't matter fighting along side PLR as it does fighting against our main ally Calofas. Kumania offered to help the Arabs several days ago after the outbreak of the Synths, with no response. Kumania and PLR are not at war. Kumania wants to be friendly with PLR once again. It's just the ideological differences that have caused our two nations to drift apart.

SB: So last question. Do you expect the Latrovians to intervene in Balkan Confederation?

HB: Nah. And even if they did, they probably can't expect help from Kumania. First of all of course being that Kumania doesn't really help its allies out that much in conflicts that Kumania has no business being in. But the other reason is there just doesn't seem to be any reason to support the Latrovians. Sure Gloria and Dominic will get married soon. But then Gloria will most likely be replaced by Emily as Crown Princess of Kumania so it wouldn't really matter. When the Latrovians bitched the other day about an apparent lack of Kumanian support, it really angered King Jimmy. The Latrovians fortunately haven't been as active as the Arabs in foreign conflicts recently, so it'd be a wise bet to not expect them to intervene. And Kumania will only intervene if Kumanians are murdered by either side.

SB: Thank you for joining us here tonight Minister.

HD: It was good to be here.

SB: Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz everyone!

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Calofasian government has allegedly threatened to invade Oak Leaf for Oak Leaf's invasion of northeastern Balkan Confederation. This one of several major stories today in the Confederate Civil War. 1,500 Roman volunteers departed today to fight for the Confederate government while the Latrovians announced they'd enter the war to support the liberal rebels. The latter comes a day after Kumanian Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz predicted that the Latrovians wouldn't intervene right here on the KNN International Daily Recap.

Joining me to comment on this surprise announcement is Minister of Defense Haley DeFronz.

SB: Welcome back Minister.

HD: Hah thanks it's like I never left.

SB: Haha indeed. So Latrovia has become the latest country to intervene in the Balkan conflict.

HD: I actually am surprised. Do you think they might've gotten the idea from me?

SB: Hahaha it's possible I guess. Do you think they did?

HD: Well it does seem odd that I literally predicted that they wouldn't and then I wake up and they announce they will. Perhaps Kumanian media is more influential than one would believe. Now one could probably say Kumania subliminally tells other nations what to do via the Kumanian news media.

SB: That is quite an interesting idea. However, the Calofasians are still fighting for the Confederate government and PLR is still supporting the rebels. So perhaps Kumania doesn't run the world quite yet.

HD: Yeah true. I mean, Kumania probably could though. Like no one else has starships to rival us. But Kumania isn't like PLR or Latrovia. We focus on what happens at home instead of what happens abroad. Like indeed what happens abroad is extremely important. But it's best that we prioritize ourselves first. While Latrovia and PLR had been going around trying to build empires, Kumania made starships. Calofas is indeed seeming like a new interventionist, but this is their first conflict. They've spent the whole time focusing on improving themselves. If Kumania intervened in Balkan Confederation, whatever side Kumania joins, that side will win. The closest nation to match our military might is Calofas. But Kumania and Calofas are allies. So basically Kumania could rule the world if we wanted to. So maybe Latrovia is just intervening to show the world that they are still relevant.

SB: Thanks Minister.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

In a historic day in PLR, the Arab nation was transformed into a constitutional monarchy. Caliph Azman transferred many of his powers to the Arabian Parliament and PLR's new Prime Minister, Malik Hussein Al-Abdullah. No one in the Kumanian government remarked on the event, but rumors have circulated that King Jimmy is silently applauding Caliph Azman's attempt at making his nation become more democratic.

Meanwhile in the Balkan conflict, Oak Leaf retreated all of its troops from Balkan Confederation after Fuhrmanian declared its intent to invade Oak Leaf and Calofas began an actual invasion. King Jimmy, his Cabinet, and the leaders of Parliament held a meeting today concerning the Balkan conflict. During the meeting, all Kumanians who currently were in Balkan Confederation were safely rescued and returned home to Kumania. The Kumanian government declared its intention to host a peace conference to bring an end to the Balkan conflict. However, one demand was presented. The one demand was that the Confederate government basically adapted the Kumanian values of democracy, liberty, equality, and peace.

SB: For more, we are joined by the Kumanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Julian Basque. Welcome to the show Minister.

JB: It's good to be here.

SB: So, Minister, how tense was the meeting?

JB: Extremely tense. This conflict in Balkan Confederation is extremely complex.

SB: So, if the Confederate government doesn't accept the one demand, what will be Kumania's next move?

JB: Well, I hate to say it, but war is an option.

SB: Do you think war could be voted on before the primary election of 2 April?

JB: No. But, we are hoping that Kumania wouldn't have to even think about war. There isn't really a good reason to enter the conflict except to perhaps foil any attempts by the Arabs to expand their influence.

SB: So it was announced today that the leader of the rebels was a Prince Boris. Did this add any more complexity to the issue?

JB: Yes. Until it was announced that the rebels were being led by a self-proclaimed prince who had apparent disregard for the values the liberals were originally fighting for, King Jimmy was heavily in favor of the rebels. But now the war is turning out to be a fight for the lesser of two evils.

SB: Now, would it be hypocritical for Kumania to automatically condemn this Prince Boris when we ourselves have a King?

JB: Not really. King Jimmy and his predecessors and his successors have and will be kept in check by the people. We don't know much about Boris. He could be as much of a tyrant as those in the Confederate government appear to be. The fact that Boris is the leader of the rebels has shifted Kumania's sway of support to neutral. However, Kumania would still be fighting a possible tyrant and then also be engaged in a proxy war with the Arabs while fighting alongside our Calofasian allies and the Equestrians and Romans. But alas if Kumania entered this conflict, this undoubtedly could become a world war.

SB: Have the Arabs been among the main factors keeping the Kumanians out of war?

JB: Yes and no. King Jimmy isn't afraid to put PLR in its place. But Kumania just doesn't have any business right now getting involved. Until there is a direct threat to Kumanian lives, the Kumanian people won't rally together to go off to war. Maybe if this war broke out exactly a month after it did, which would be 5 April, perhaps war would be seen as a more viable option. But elections are around the corner and no one in Parliament wants to suffer a loss because of a war declaration vote. I'll say it again that there is only one thing that will bring Kumania into war and it's a direct threat to Kumanian lives. But as long as the Kumanian people are safe, there will never be a good argument to go to war.

SB: Thank you Minister.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Kumanian call for peace in the Balkan conflict has been heard by several of the parties participating in the fight. Calofas, SSR, PLR, ESSR, and Latrovia have all declared interest in attending the proposed peace conference. However, such a conference will not happen unless both the Confederate government and the Confederate rebels attend.

SB: We are joined once again by Kumanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Julian Basque. Welcome back Minister.

JB: Hello.

SB: So I assume your Ministry is excited at the response to Kumania's call for peace?

JB: We are. War won't create any progress. Now you'll just be having the major powers of the world fighting it out. Kumanians don't want to live in a world ravaged by war. I'm fairly certain that the ordinary Calofasian or Latrovian wants to be engulfed in a war with the other's nation. So it's a great pleasure that other powers are recognizing this. But alas us major powers don't decide the fate of Balkan Confederation. It is ultimately the Confederate people who must decide their fate. There is nothing any foreign power can do in the nation to shape its future. This war is indeed a stalemate and lives are just being wasted every day every hour every minute that goes by.

SB: So Kumania will not enter the war?

JB: I'm fairly certain that it's been made clear that the Kumanian people do not want to live in a world ravaged by war. If Kumania entered the war, then it would truly be a global war. Whatever side Kumania is on would win, but nevertheless the war would be costly like any other war.

SB: So there has been rhetoric by the Conservatives that basically shows that they support war. Would this change anything?

JB: It's been made very clear that Kumania has rejected conservatism. The Conservatives are putting themselves in a bad place by supporting warmongering. Indeed there are Kumanians who would like war, but they are a small minority. But I'll be happy to see the upcoming elections prove me wrong. Actually, I wouldn't. But if I am wrong, it's best that I find out sooner than later. But I have strong faith that the Kumanian people do not war so we are taking every possible measure to avoid the outbreak of war.

SB: Thank you Minister.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Both the Balkan Confederation government and rebels have agreed to attend a peace conference in Kumania. Also, the Fuhrmanians have declared their intention to attend the conference as well. However, fighting will apparently still continue until an agreement has been made at the peace conference. The Kumanian government still hasn't specified on the date and location of the peace conference, but several foreign leaders and representatives have already arrived in Kumania City.

Several massive marches were held today in Kumania City, Toronto, Thunder Bay, Montreal, and other cities in support of world peace. The marches were quickly organized last night on social media after Kumanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Julian Basque declared that he firmly believed that the Kumanian people do not want war. It does appear that these marches support his assumption.

King Jimmy has praised the Balkan people for agreeing to attend the peace conference. Security will be beefed up across Kumania for the peace conference, but it is expected that nothing will go wrong. It's currently unknown if King Jimmy will attend the conference if it's not held in Kumania City.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

King Jimmy announced his intention to attend a peace conference regarding the Balkan conflict and scheduled to host the conference in Kumania City at the Royal Palace on 27 March. Several representatives have already arrived in Kumania. It is currently unknown if the Kumanian government has given any of them a warm welcome, but it is expected that they haven't since the Kumanian government has higher priorities this week because of the general election next Saturday.

Right-wing nationalists took over Markvaria in a coup d'etat. The former socialist government fled to PLR. The Kumanian government issued a statement condemning the coup as an "attack on democracy and liberty" but expressed hope that the problem can be solved peacefully.

A national poll conducted last week showed a close race between the Libertarian Socialists and the Liberals for the general election. The penultimate leaders debate was held tonight in Fredericton. The last debate will be held Tuesday 22 March in Montreal. Tuesday night's debate will be the last chance for all five party leaders to broadcast their message to a national audience. The debate will be broadcast on KNN and its affiliates and begin at 7 pm EST and be held in the Le Deux Arena in Montreal.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The government of PLR has surprisingly praised the new right-wing government of Markvaria and deported the former Markvarian government officials back to Markvaria to face their doom. Meanwhile, the Aghrabian government declared that it would not send in military force unless necessary and has sent relief aid workers to help civilians in certain areas. Rumors have circulated that a resistance movement has already formed to put an end to the reign of the right-wing government of Markvaria.

All this week except Tuesday, we will sit down one-on-one with each of the party leaders.

Tonight we are joined by Imperialist Mark Swanson from Saguenay.

SB: Good evening Mr. Swanson.

MS: Good evening Sally.

SB: So the general election is less than a week away and every national poll released this past weekend has shown your party to be in last place. Do you have a plan to have a late surge in the polls and perhaps pulloff an unexpected comeback?

MS: Well Sally, it's important to not believe what polls say unless the poll takes in the feedback of literally everyone who gives a damn. There's several flaws with polling that doesn't include literally everyone.

SB: So far your party has only campaigned in Kenora, Superior, Hudson, Huron, Saguenay, Labradour, Anticosti, and Newfoundland. And while it is a majority of the provinces, the total number of Members of Parliament from these eight provinces is only 98 which is barely more than a third of the total seats in Parliament. And then the Conservatives are solely campaigning in these same exact provinces as well. As a matter of fact, four of the five largest provinces which are Ontario, Erie, Quebec, and Nova Scotia have their Members of Parliament make up 55.6% of the seats in Parliament with 153 Members of Parliament from just those four provinces. Is your party really trying to win the general election or is it just trying to split the right-wing vote with the Conservatives?

MS: Look, our party has just been formed. But nevertheless, with the Internet, we don't need to visit all of the provinces. I firmly believe that we will still get a ton of support from the provinces that I haven't visited and haven't campaigned in.

SB: Are you sure? Because the people of this nation like it when they feel like they have their voices heard and the easiest way for that to do that is campaigning. Even if everyone in the eight northern provinces does vote, there's still only 98 seats that your party can grab.

MS: You mentioned it's more than a third so we can still block a 2/3 vote.

SB: But the thing is, King Jimmy hasn't vetoed anything in years since the LSP has been in power. Your party would need 2/3 of the seats to actually have the ability to run the government. Otherwise, it could be said that you'd just be seat fillers.

MS: Like I said, we've just begun. In 2018, we could definitely double our number of seats in Parliament. You just watch. We will do great on Saturday and surprise all of Kumania.

SB: Thank you Mr. Swanson.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Latrovian military launched an attack on the Fuhrmanian military today. This attack was quickly condemned by the S.S.R., who has declared its intention to send relief aid to the Fuhrmanians. Meanwhile the Fuhrmanian government has declared its support for the former government of Markvaria. Rumors have circulated that the Fuhrmanians intended to send military aid to the former Markvarian government, but it's unlikely that it will occur now that the Latrovians are about to launch an invasion of Fuhrmania.

Tonight we are joined by Communist Kevin Bluecheese live from Windsor.

SB: Welcome Mr. Bluecheese.

KB: Good evening.

SB: We hardly heard you speak in the last debate on KNN.

KB: Yeah.

SB: I hope we will be able to learn more about you tonight?

KB: Indeed you will.

SB: So, your party is campaigning in the seven provinces that the Imperialists and Conservatives are not campaigning in. However, these seven provinces have a much larger share of the seats in Parliament. But your party is currently only leading in one province. And meanwhile, your party is well behind in the other six provinces you've campaigned in. Do the Communists even have a chance at getting a majority in Parliament?

KB: Yes. I almost never agree with Mark Swanson but I don't trust polls. You already know what he said about it and I say the same.

SB: Literally every poll conducted the past month and a half since the election was announced has shown nationally that your party is only barely more popular than the Imperialists, whom are in last place. Meanwhile, the Liberals who are in third place have twice as much support nationally as your party. Poll projections show your party only picking up a couple extra seats. Why should this year be considered the year that the Communists get taken seriously?

KB: Now that's unfair Sally. You didn't bring up national polls and provincial polls to Swanson.

SB: Well that's because the Imperialists are basically tied in two provinces. But the Imperialists could end up not winning any provinces. Your party could win at least one province which is why I bring it up.

KB: Again with the polls. I always ignore the polls.

SB: So you're fine with the Communists becoming the fourth largest party after the election after having been the third largest party?

KB: That's a load of bullshit Sally. Us Communists find the polls to be a bunch of bullshit. Just watch Saturday night. The Communists will win every single southern province by extremely large margins. We will gain a majority in Parliament. The LSP will be removed from power. The Liberals will disappear. And the Conservatives and Imperialists will end up destroying each other. And if this revolution is not achieved politically, you can bet your ass that the revolution will become a true revolution. The reign of King Jimmy is almost over. Thank you goodbye.

SB: Well then.

That concludes our broadcast.

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The final leaders debate was cancelled early this morning after both Imperialist Mark Swanson and Communist Kevin Bluecheese declared that they would be boycotting the debate. Meanwhile the Pommonwealth has announced that its colony is almost finished and ready for operation.

King D'Hara of Lower Midlands recently passed away as was succeeded by his son Rhaul. King Rhaul immediately denounced his late father, calling him a coward, and declared that he will lead his people to being liberated from Fuhrmanian and Equestrian influence and control. These statements were immediately denounced by the Fuhrmanians.

After the Latrovians allegedly violated a no-fly zone established by the Romans, the S.S.R. has declared its intention to support the Confederate government and has begun striking rebel monarchist targets and doubled the size of its volunteer force. Meanwhile, the Latrovian military landed in Fuhrmania to begin a military occupation.

Prime Minister Nancy Mildew of Oak Leaf announced that she would not seek reelection after serving three terms as Oak Leaf's Prime Minister. The top two candidates are Elsie Moore, the new leader of the Oaklander Green Party who would allegedly continue the work of Mildew, and William Farger, the leader of the Oaklander Conservative Party who would bring about great change to the nation. Several foreign leaders have declared their endorsements for the candidates. However, King Jimmy has refrained from endorsing either candidate, noting that "It is not the place of the Kumanian government to have any say in who becomes the new leader of a foreign country. Kumanians value their sovereignty and respect the sovereignty of others. So therefore, I will not join the several other national leaders who have declared their support for either of these candidates."

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

King Jimmy gave a speech regarding the Balkan conflict today:

"This upcoming Sunday I hope to host several foreign leaders regarding the Balkan conflict. I am committed to the idea that peace is the only solution to this conflict. For the past few weeks, the Confederate people have been fighting among each other. But now that fight has expanded into a proxy war between a few of the world's major powers.

"Greetings my fellow Kumanians.

"Kumania has not entered the Balkan Civil War because there is no reason for Kumanian lives to be possibly sacrificed for the problems of others. Kumanian intervention would undoubtedly spell victory for the side that Kumania is on. There is no denying that I have thought about intervention several times the past few weeks. I must admit that I do not like how undemocratic and unfree nations like PLR are directly involved in this conflict. I do not like how the rebels are basically replacing the old tyrannical regime with a new one led by an unelected leader. At least in Kumania, the people have the true authority to determine whether or not I can continue leading our great nation. I can be removed at any time if the people deem me unfit to continue being the leader of the Kumanian people.

"This Balkan conflict is so complex and seemingly a choice between the lesser of two evils. It is mainly those two facts that prevents Kumanian troops from being sent overseas to fight in this pointless conflict. And that is why Kumania must be the one to bring about peace peacefully. These other countries might say they're just trying to restore peace to the Balkan Confederation, but none of them have invited the others to a peace conference.

"Kumania is a world leader because we try to unite people. We don't tell others what to do. It's tragic that PLR, Latrovia, SSR, ESSR, Calofas, Fuhrmania, Handland, Oak Leaf, and others feel the need to control others to be considered leaders. True leaders don't get involved in silly bullshit. True leaders find solutions to these silly issues. I'm only welcoming these foreign leaders in name. But they do not have my warm welcome since they have all contributed to blowing this conflict out of proportion. This conflict did not need to become as huge as it did.

"With this in mind, I'm ordering an indefinite time of mourning across Kumania in memory of every life lost in the Balkan conflict due to this irresponsibility until peace can finally be achieved. I look forward to meeting with my fellow leaders on Sunday. Thank you."

We are now joined by Liberal Gerald Black.

SB: Mr. Black, welcome.

GB: Good evening Sally.

SB: So Mr. Black, your party is second when it comes to provinces campaigned in. The only provinces you've completely avoided are Miquelon, Kenora, and Hudson.

GB: Yes. Those three provinces are leaning towards either extreme. The Liberals are centrists. We avoid extremism. So we find no point in campaigning in those three provinces. There wouldn't be too much damage anyways since those three provinces combined only send a total of 31 people to Parliament.

SB: So my other two guests have been annoyed when I bring up the polls. The most recent polls show your party in third place, but well above the Communists or Imperialists. Does your party think you can somehow pull off a late surge without the benefit of the final debate?

GB: It's tragic that the debate got cancelled. However, I think it could be a relief to the Kumanian people who are possibly tired of extremism. I may not have gotten another debate, but at least you invited me onto your show so I'm grateful for that haha.

SB: So within these polls, it shows that in several provinces where there's no clear majority between LSP and Conservative, your party gives either of the two a majority if a coalition is formed. Who would the Liberals prefer to coalition with?

GB: I can honestly say none of us have thought about that. It's typical to be optimistic and think that you'll win. Forming coalitions isn't something anyone wants to do really. Coalition forming will be left up to the locals like always. No party is ever obliged to coalition with another. Otherwise, there'd be no point in having separate parties. While a majority of us Liberals had been in the LSP, there's a sizable amount who were Conservatives. The thing is, there's no predicting how people would coalition. Former Libertarian Socialists in the Liberal Party might coalition with the Conservatives and it could be the other way around. Like the Balkan conflict, this is such a complex topic.

SB: Speaking of the Balkan conflict, do you support what King Jimmy has been doing?

GB: I actually do applaud him for how he's handled the situation. I'm glad that he recognizes that it's pointless to send Kumanians off to fight in a conflict that Kumanians have no business in, and I'm also glad he recognizes the potential hypocrisy of his office. He dislikes how the rebels have fallen under leadership of a self-proclaimed monarch, but also acknowledges that he himself is a monarch...but not a 100% legitimate monarch. But he did inherit his office. And indeed we the people can remove him from office at any time if we deem it necessary. Us Liberals have deemed Jimmy as not fit to be a leader for life. We seek to abolish the monarchy. We believe that we should have an elected leader who can be removed from office by simply losing an election instead of being impeached. I hope the Kumanian people share that belief and I look forward to seeing the results Saturday night.

SB: Thank you.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

PLR has launched an offensive on the Balkan Confederation capital of Sagorth. Meanwhile, the Fuhrmanians have begun withdrawing all of their troops from Balkan Confederation. However, the Balkan rebels and her allies have begun attacking the retreating Fuhrmanians.

We are joined tonight by Conservative Gary Paul.

SB: Welcome Mr. Paul.

GP: Hi Sally.

SB: So, I'm gunna change the topic tonight. What are your thoughts on the Balkan conflict?

GP: This is a terrible tragedy. And here Kumania is sitting on the sidelines when we should be doing something to help. Sure those on the left will talk about how Kumania is hosting a peace conference, but I'm certain that peace conference wouldn't work out. The only way something good can come out of this conflict is for Kumania to intervene, preferably on the side of the Confederate government.

SB: So you support the Confederate government and want Kumanian lives to be sacrificed for the Balkan government?

GP: Well I certainly wouldn't support the rebels who are basically the bitches of the Arabs and Latrovians. Calofas was wise for supporting the Confederate government. It's tragic how Calofas withdrew from the war and the Equestrians are seemingly withdrawing as well. And the Fuhrmanians leaving Balkan Confederation is probably the nail in the coffin for the confederacy. It seems like the only way that the confederacy survives is if Kumania intervenes on its behalf. Kumania has perhaps the most powerful military in the world and we're not even using it. Talk about a waste of taxpayer money!

SB: So since we're not using our military all the time, would you suggest that we cut the defense budget?

GP: Hell no! We must use our military. That is the only option. Peace will never realistically exist until there is no competition. Kumania is the chosen society to unite the world. Kumania must assert its dominance on the rest of the world.

SB: So how would you convince King Jimmy to have Kumania become interventionist?

GP: If my party performs extremely excellently, we won't need to work with His Majesty.

SB: Your party hasn't performed well in an election in a couple decades. Is 2o16 really your year?

GP: Perhaps. I can't predict the election. I just hope that perhaps the Kumanian people will vote Conservative this year. It'll be a vote they definitely won't regret.

SB: Thank you Gary.

GP: Thanks for having me Sally.

SB: Gary Paul the Leader of the Conservative Party!

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Komuvlaktes and Latrovia are apparently going to construct embassies. But today was the last day before the Kumanian general election so that's the only thing that matters. Tomorrow on KNN and KNN International, we will have full day coverage of the election starting at 9:00 am AST.

A national poll conducted earlier this week shows the Libertarian Socialists achieving a slight majority of voters. We are joined tonight by Libertarian Socialist Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands live from her hometown of Kingston.

SB: Madame Speaker, welcome!

PS: Good evening Sally!

SB: So so far this election cycle, the polls have shown that your party is the only party that actually has anything being truly won. All the other parties are falling extremely short of their expectations. How do you feel about this?

PS: Well the people haven't even voted yet. Several polls conducted on several thousand people don't speak on behalf of over 55 million people. I believe I heard of a poll that actually had the Conservatives getting at least 10% in my overwhelmingly progressive leftwing home province of Ontario. And 10% in Ontario would mean over a million votes. Ontario is extremely urban like Miquelon or Erie. A million votes in Ontario for a party that is not LSP would be more easy to predict if it was the Communists. And I could actually see the Communists getting a good amount of votes here in Ontario. Same with the Liberals. There are some rural parts of Ontario that normally probably would vote Conservative, but they're not right wing enough to vote Conservative. My party will probably take a minor hit here in Ontario, but it seems unlikely that any others would stand a chance at actually winning here or making a significant dent in the Libertarian Socialists influence here.

SB: So you're fairly optimistic about tomorrow night?

PS: Yep. Again the LSP is the only party that unites people. The LSP was the only party to campaign in all 15 provinces multiple times. The LSP will probably be the only party to gain more than a third of the vote. If I'm wrong, I promise to never be Speaker of Parliament ever again. But the truth is that Kumania is a liberal progressive democratic socialist nation and the LSP promotes those values. Again if I'm wrong, I won't deserve to hold one of the most powerful and influential positions in the Kumanian government.

SB: So you're putting a lot on the line with these statements.

PS: That's what this entire election has been about. A lot is on the line.

SB: I feel like you might be trying to provoke the voters to vote for anyone that's not LSP.

PS: The voters have the right to vote however they want. If me speaking how I truly feel forces LSP voters to vote Liberal or Communist, it's their choice.

SB: So anyways Gary Paul talked about his support of Kumanian intervention in Balkan Confederation. How would you react as Speaker of Parliament if he proposes a Kumanian declaration of war?

PS: Well first the proposal would have to be approved by the Defense Committee. I am only really a mediator. If a committee approves a proposal to be voted on, I am obliged to have it be debated on in front of everyone in the Royal Parliament. Before it's voted on, Mr. Paul would have to argue his case in front of the MPs, and anyone against will debate against. And then someone would have to motion for the proposal to be voted on and then that motion would have to be seconded before an official vote commences. If a motion to vote is seconded, I am obliged to have the proposal to be voted on. The proposal would most likely be defeated however. The Kumanian people do not like war. Any politician who votes for war would be destroyed by the people they're supposed to represent.

SB: Well I look forward to hearing from you again Sunday after the election. Thank you for joining us Madame Speaker!

PS: I look forward to it as well. I'm glad I was able to speak with you.

SB: Everyone go out and vote!

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is a KNN Special Report!

Good morning and welcome to KNN's live coverage of the Kumanian general election. I'm McKenzie Zylop.

Polls have been open across the country for an hour now. Polls opened at 6:00 am local time everywhere. It is now 9:01 am in Kumania City. The time in Kumania City was 5:30 am AST when the polls opened in Newfoundland. It was 6:00 am AST when the polls opened in Miquelon, Labradour, Anticosti, Princess Gloria Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. It was 7:00 am AST when the polls opened in Saguenay, Quebec, Ontario, and Erie. And it was 8:00 am AST when the polls opened in Hudson, Huron, Superior, and Kenora.

Polls will closed at 8:00 pm local time everywhere. So voters will have a 14 hour window to cast their votes today. It will be 7:30 pm in Kumania City when polls close in Newfoundland. It will be 8:00 pm when polls close in the Atlantic Timezone provinces. It will be 9:00 pm AST when polls close in the Eastern Timezone provinces and 10:00 pm AST when polls close in the Central Timezone provinces.

I am now joined by Tommy Uhara who will be with me for most of the day.

MZ: So Tommy, the most provinces will have their polls close at 8:00 and then the most populated provinces will have their polls close at 9:00. Will we be able to get a clear idea of who will win this election less than 12 hours from now?

TU: In past elections, we have. But this election is different. The polling conducted in the western provinces the CST provinces hasn't been conclusive at all. There's simply no predicting who will win those four western provinces. Basically anyone can walk away with victory there it seems. As for the heartland provinces the EST provinces, it'd probably be logical to predict the LSP wins all but Saguenay, but again we just don't know. Polling just doesn't do anything anymore to help us in the media call the election before all the votes have been cast. Polling is just so questionable anymore that it's rare that anyone will listen to a poll after this election.

MZ: So this election is the general election, but with literally every elected office on the line whether it be the Royal Parliament or the local governments, some have called this just a series of gubernatorial elections since every ballot has the name of the party and the name of the party's candidate for governor below.

TU: Yeah I actually have a ballot with me. Let's get the camera focused on it. So this is a ballot for Nova Scotia. It's a fairly neat ballot too. The fonts and everything are pretty nice looking. So you can see the five parties and their candidates for Governor of Nova Scotia. And then at the bottom is the choice for "Other". This vote for "Other" only comes into significant play if there's enough votes for it. This "Other" vote can also be seen as a vote for an Independent. If there's enough votes for an Independent, then everyone who voted independent will get a ballot next Saturday in the primary election featuring Independent candidates. And depending on the number of seats in Parliament up for grabs that will be filled by the independent vote, the vote will either be single-transferable vote if only one winner or most votes if multiple winners. The parties that do not gain a single seat in the general election will not hold primary elections for Parliament next Saturday. Take Anticosti for example. Anticosti is almost unanimously Conservative. The Conservatives have held the three seats from Anticosti for decades. If the Conservatives once again get all three seats from Anticosti today, then only the Conservatives will hold a primary election for Parliament. The votes cast today influence how the primaries will happen next week. For example, a party could not win enough votes to gain a seat in Parliament, but depending on procedures of local government, that party can still hold a primary election for the local government.

MZ: I've been covering the past three general elections and I still have a hard time grasping the complexity of our election system haha.

TU: Yeah I still force myself to memorize all of what I had to say because our election system is a really complex system. There's no other nation that does elections like us.

MZ: Indeed. Well we will take a quick break. It is now 9:30 in Kumania City. Polls will close in Newfoundland in exactly 10 hours. Stay tuned for more!

Kumania Votes!
