This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Tragedy has struck the nation today as a communist sympathizer now identified as Autumn Hills detonated a suicide bomb in Parliament Hall, killing an estimated 150 people and injuring over 300 others. Kevin Bluecheese claimed responsibility for the attack, noting the refusal of King Jimmy and Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands to resign as the main reason for the attack. Kevin Bluecheese has since disappeared and the Royal Family has been evacuated to shelter at an undisclosed location. Nova Scotia Governor Aidan Kesavik declared a state of emergency, and has imposed a curfew across the embattled province.

After it was announced that Bluecheese was the mastermind behind this horrific attack, SWAT teams descended on the Communist Party headquarters and were engaged in a shootout with communist defenders for nearly an hour which left a couple hundred people dead. The events of today triggered the provincial government of Miquelon to declare independence in support of the communist cause. There is currently a standoff on the Miquelon Bridge on the border of Miquelon and Newfoundland between federal troops and communist sympathizers from Miquelon. This move has inspired the provincial governments of Newfoundland and Quebec to seek independence votes for tomorrow.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Rhodigai government has praised yesterday's communist attack on Parliament Hall which left 206 dead and 396 injured. The Rhodigai honored the attacker, Autumn Hills, and have also welcomed Kevin Bluecheese to their society. The whereabouts of Kevin Bluecheese are still unknown.

The attack has forced the Commissioner of Baseball to suspend play indefinitely. The Commissioner of Football has also announced her intention to suspend play indefinitely as well.

The outbreak of civil unrest forced the Kumanian stock markets to not open today. However, it is expected that if they were to open, the market would take a major plunge.

In response to the declarations of independence by the legislatures of Quebec and Newfoundland, Leader of the Imperialist Party Mark Swanson has announced that he will lead a so-called "Army of Patriots" to take back the nation. Already there has been a great outbreak of violence in the northern provinces as Swanson's imperialist followers have attempted to seize control of local governments and also potentially murder as many French-speakers as possible. Swanson referred to the French-speaking population of Kumania as "filthy", and promised to rid Kumania of every so-called "enemy of Kumania". Riots are also currently ongoing in Quebec and Erie as the native French-speakers are fighting for their independence, and the communist population in Erie is fighting for their cause.

And that concludes our broadcast!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

As the nation continues to be embroiled in bloody conflict, it has appeared that there are currently four sides: the Communists, the Imperialists, the Francophones, and the government of the Royal Republic. Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands requested to speak with us to address the nation.

SB: Madame Speaker, welcome.

PS: Good evening Sally.

SB: We're glad you had a safe flight from Toronto.

PS: I'm lucky the Francophones don't have anti-aircraft technology. If they did, I probably wouldn't be here.

SB: So what is it that you want to say to the nation?

PS: I want to say that I am sorry for failing you. I am a coward. I let fear get to my head which caused me to not publicly support a piece of legislation that I privately supported which led to millions of people becoming angry which has led to the outbreak of a potential civil war. I have brought shame not only to myself or my party, but the Royal Republic of Kumania. However, I shall not be resigning any time soon. It would be an easy victory handed to the rebels if I resigned. I shall stay at my post and try to lead this country out of this disunity. There was once a man named Abraham Lincoln who came into office during the lowest part in his nation's history. His people were just as divided as us. But that did not stop him from trying to reunite his country that he loved. And I shall do the same. I will admit that Kevin Bluecheese was correct about the Libertarian Socialist Party not being a party that accepts all. This shall change. We can only achieve peace if we all sit down and have a discussion. And we can only have peace if we desire peace before any more innocent lives are lost for this useless cause. I call on my fellow Kumanians, regardless if they're Communist, Imperialist, Francophone, or anything else, to lay down their arms.

SB: Is that all you wish to tell the viewers tuning in?

PS: Yes. I want peace. One does not have to go extremely extravagant when they want something so simple as peace.

SB: Well thank you for joining us tonight Madame Speaker.

And that concludes our broadcast!

I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, have a good day!

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands' plea for peace has seemingly not been well received by the people the plea was directed to. Mark Swanson declared that "there would be no end to this fight until the glorious goal has been achieved". Meanwhile, Kevin Bluecheese's whereabouts are still unknown. Some have speculated that he may have fled the country, but others believe he might still be in Kumania, potentially hiding out somewhere until he may believe victory for his cause is imminent.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

As you all already know, King Jimmy was assassinated this morning at a secret bunker in Princess Gloria Island by Kevin Bluecheese, who was assassinated seconds after by King Jimmy's guards. A funeral service has been scheduled for King Jimmy for this Saturday in Kumania City.

Emily Kuma is now the de facto Queen of Kumania. She and her younger brother Fred have come out of hiding and returned to Kumania City. "We will not hide from those who only seek to destroy our great nation," declared Emily as she met the press.

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Mark Swanson announced today that his troops would launch an invasion of Newfoundland tomorrow. "We must bring our fight to the doorstep of those communist thugs. This fight is not only against those inferior Baguettes, but also the filth that is communism. Tomorrow we shall roll into Newfoundland and slaughter all the traitors to this great nation! Their souls will be tortured. Our troops will drink the blood of our enemies. I'm already getting a hard-on just thinking about this great purge that shall be committed. So Newfoundlander shall be spared. We Imperialists will rule Kumania and all those opposed to us shall die an extremely painful and undignified death!" exclaimed the Imperialist leader in a memo his party released to the press today. The Ministry of Defense still has not signified that they will be launching an offensive to defeat the Imperialists any time soon. So far the Imperialists have raped and pillaged their way across northern Kumania gaining more territory.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Imperialist troops crossed the Strait of Belle Isle Bridge from Labradour into Newfoundland today. Although Mark Swanson announced this invasion yesterday, this move has still surprised many as it was not known that the Imperialists had an invasion force stationed in eastern Labradour ready to move into Newfoundland. Queen Emily announced today that she will meet with officials from the Ministry of Defense to discuss strategy to reunite the nation under administration of the government of the Royal Republic.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

After her meeting with Ministry of Defense officials, Queen Emily announced that she would like to have a meeting with Communist leadership to discuss a peaceful solution to recent events. This comes as Imperialist troops have quickly seized control over a lot of territory in Newfoundland since they entered Newfoundland yesterday. The city of Kenora has also come under siege by Imperialist troops, who have begun an attempt to take the city. There are currently no Ministry of Defense troops stationed in Kenora or anywhere else, but that is expected to change soon.

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

A meeting between Queen Emily and communist leaders was announced today as Imperialist troops have begun closing in on St. Tom and Reeds. It is believed that the Ministry of Defense has determined the Imperialists to be a much greater threat currently than the Communists. However, some have signaled that a move which would create an alliance with the Communists could be poorly received. Still, the reality that the government would have a much better chance at survival if it were to create an at least temporary alliance with the much weaker Communists since the Connunists are smaller in size and more Kumanians have leftist political views.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Duchess Nicole of Merlinton was found dead this morning at her residence in Wizard City. An investigation has been launched in wake of the surprising death of the Duchess. Merlintonian authorities have not released any information so far regarding this sad loss of a great leader. Theodore Estévez has been named the interim leader of Merlinton for the time being.

Queen Emily has joined many other international leaders in expressing grief over the loss of Duchess Nicole. In a statement, the Queen revealed that she looked up to the Duchess, who was an inspiration to her. Queen Emily has also ordered for flags to be flown at half-staff across the country for the remainder of the week in memory and honor of the late Duchess Nicole.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Thousands of Merlintonian government emails were leaked today by a hacktivist organization known as Unknown. These classified emails were created during and before the reign of the late Duchess Nicole. Questionable actions concerning the Merlintonian government have popped up, putting into question the legitimacy of the late Merlintonian leader. So far, the cause of the death of Duchess Nicole is believed to be suicide, but authorities have still not commented on the matter and it is currently unknown when they will.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

With the nation seemingly on the brink of political instability, several foreign powers, including PLR, have sent so-called peacekeeping forces to Merlinton to allegedly maintain peace. This of course hasn't worked as riots have broken out across the country. Meanwhile, Queen Emily condemned foreign involvement in Merlinton, declaring, "If you are not Merlintonian, you have no business interfering in Merlinton's domestic affairs!" She also referred to the foreign powers getting involved recently as "warmongers" who are "looking to create more death and destruction".

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Queen Emily is set to meet with Communist and Francophone leaders tomorrow at an undisclosed location. This coming as the cities of Kenora, St. Tom, and Reeds are all currently under siege by Imperialist armies. It is widely believed that Queen Emily will attempt to unite with the Communist and Francophone leaders to defeat the Imperialist rebels, who have already caused at least fifty times more destruction across the nation than the Communists have.

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Queen Emily announced today that she has agreed to unite with the Communists, Newfoundlanders, and Francophones to fight back against the Imperialist troops who have seized control over so much territory in recent days. Residents within the city of Kenora were strongly encouraged to evacuate as numerous troops within the Royal Kumanian Army have descended on the city in an attempt to reverse the progress the Imperialists have made, and must an end to the siege that has been terrorizing the city over the past few days.

Meanwhile in Merlinton, riots and invasions by foreign powers have seen violence increase exponentially in the country which had been a role-model to peace-loving nations. Minister of Foreign Affairs Julian Basque finally publicly spoke out on the tragic crisis in Merlinton, and had the following to say about the situation:

"It greatly saddens me how Merlinton has descended into so much chaos in the wake of the death of the Duchess. She was a dear friend of mine, and it appears that her legacy was keeping her nation and her people united with peace. And now that she's gone, that unity and peace has gone as well. The death of Duchess Nicole has seemingly led to the death of peace and unity in Merlinton."

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Queen Emily announced today that come 3 August, all private media shall cease broadcasting until further notice. She alleged that there is an alleged security risk in allowing private media to broadcast while the nation is embroiled in so much instability. This move has sparked protests across the nation who see it as a breach of freedom of the press, and I personally believe it is a horrible move as well. I typically refrain from expressing my own personal views, but I'm going to take a moment to voice my opinion. This nation needs to be informed of what's happening, and denying our fellow citizens the opportunity to attain this critical knowledge is indeed a poor move.

Meanwhile in Newlend, national elections have apparently been postponed until further notice due to an increase of instability and violence across the world. Several political analysts don't see how international conflict should result in elections in a country that hasn't been engulfed in this instability being suspended.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

The Ministry of Defense announced that Imperialist forces had been repelled from the Kenora area, thus ending a siege of the city. However, the order of evacuation will still remain for an undetermined amount of time, stated the Mayor of Kenora. With Imperialist troops having been pushed away from the Kenora urban area, it is expected that Kumanian starships will take control of a majority of the combat operations against the Imperialists until they take shelter in another urban area.

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Queen Emily delivered a speech today in which she defended her decision to prohibit private media companies from operating after 3 August:

"This nation is facing its biggest crisis since the dark days of anarchy. For nearly 65 years, there has been peace and unity within this nation. However, both have been attacked lately. I am aware that the Kumanian people are not a united people. A civil war has broken out, and we have turned to killing our brothers and sisters like our ancestors did during those days of anarchy. I must make it clear, however, that there is one side that wants to reverse this downward spiral that our nation is heading. And that side is the side of the Royal Republic. The Imperialists only seek to bring down our great nation. This is why there must be a temporary ban on private media for the time being. The enemy can use our own public information against us, to possibly gain an advantage. We cannot let this happen. We must destroy the enemy who wish to destroy the Royal Republic of Kumania. And that can only be accomplished if they haven't a clue of what we're up to. Thank you."

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

Speaker of Parliament Paulina Sands announced today that Parliament will not try to halt Queen Emily's executive order to prohibit private media indefinitely starting Wednesday. This move has thus made the executive order legitimate unless the Courts try to intervene. However, that is extremely unlikely right now.

The Riadistani people went to the polls today to decide whether their nation shall transform into a Soviet state. Surprisingly, voters overwhelmingly rejected a transition 65% to 35%.

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos, and here are today's top stories.

What remains of Parliament convened today in Toronto for a special session and passed a bill that would basically guarantee pay for workers in the private media industry during the upcoming prohibition of private media nationwide. I'm gunna take a moment real quickly to express that I am personally satisfied with this move. I was worried about my job and income when I heard about Queen Emily's prohibition on private media, but this bill that will at least guarantee my income and hopefully my job has eased those worries.

This is the KNN International Daily Recap with Sally Bungolos!

Hello, I'm Sally Bungolos signing on for the last time, and here are today's top stories.

The ban on private media across Kumania will take effect after this broadcast has ended. We do not know how long this ban will last. All we do know is that Queen Emily has promised that this ban is temporary. In addition, the Ministry of Defense released a statement saying that Imperialist troops have been pushed back from St. Tom and Reeds, and this news was given permission directly from Queen Emily to be shared via private media.

The Roman government announced today that it will host a peace conference for Mediterranean nations to seek a peaceful solution to the War of Merlintonian Succession. All nations with a Mediterranean coast were explicitly invited, but other nations were given permission to send observers to the meeting. In response, Queen Emily declined to send a Kumanian observer, noting that the attention of the Kumanian government needed to be entirely on Kumania for the time being. However, she did send her best regards that the meeting will be successful.

And that concludes our final broadcast before this indefinite hiatus!

I'm Sally Bungolos. From all of us here at KNN International, it's been a fun ride and we will miss all of you.
