May 19, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately in Riadistan. Political polarization is starting to change the political climate, Large numbers of Liberal Socialist and Liberty voters are starting to switch their allegiance to the Communist and Christian Democratic Party's; Many government officials and leading liberal socialists are worried that the exodus from the Liberal Socialist Party will weaken the president's legitimacy and power. Today in the studio, we have the Chairwoman of the Liberal Socialist Party: Layza Karim MM: Welcome to the show, Mrs. Karim LK: Good Evening, Mrs. Musallam MM: Mrs. Karim, are you worried that your party may begin to fracture? LK: No, we are not worried about any "fracturing". MM: If you aren't worried about the party splitting, are you concerned that in the next congressional election your party may have less seats, and thus less power to pass legislation, or that in the next presidential election, your candidate wont be as popular as they were in the 2015 election? LK: Of course, less voters ultimately leads to less support, but Party's change size constantly, our drop in supporters is not unusual, it's just a consequence of the passage of time. MM: Some people think that the shrinking of the president's political party may reduce his legitimacy, Some even predict an incoming revolution. what do you have to say to people who think these things? LK: The party's size will not affect the legitimacy of the president, he was elected in a fair election by the people and nothing will change that. As for those predicting a revolution, I have to tell them that Riadistan has been extremely stable since its foundation and I don't see a small shift in ideology changing that. MM: looks like we're running out of time. Thank you for coming on tonight, Mrs. Karim LK: Glad to be here, Maryam And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. Edited by Riadistan, May 20 2016, 04:40 AM.

May 20, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately in Riadistan. The Christian Democratic party is renouncing its affiliation with Christianity, and is now renaming itself the Populist Party. Many opponents to the party think they are making this move to make the party more appealing to the large amount of new conservatives who aren't Christians. We also may be starting to feel the affects of political polarization as multiple, small, peaceful protests have been occurring in big cities across Riadistan. The cities with the largest amount of protesters so far have been Dubai, Medina, Riyadh, and Doha, which have higher than average amounts of Communist and/or Populist voters. Riadistan is planning on changing its national flag and seal; the government is now asking for submissions from inside or outside the country. [OOC: please telegram me if you are interested in joining the contest!] And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice afternoon. [marq=Left][style=color: red] ! BREAKING NEWS ! [/style][/marq]Welcome to RNBC We have breaking news. There is huge Communist-party-led rally happening in the capital. The police have told us that the rally has been mostly peaceful so far, but even so, Riadistan has never seen a protest of this size; conservative estimates place the amount of protesters at around 100,000 people. Due to the possibility of violence breaking out around the capitol building, the President has declared a state of emergency and is also taking temporary shelter in The United Emirate of Newlend. We currently do not have all the information on the rally, so we will give an update on the protest later today in our normal broadcast. Edited by Riadistan, May 22 2016, 12:31 AM.

The rally in the capital has died down, there are still some people protesting, but otherwise it's a peaceful night in the capital. The President is going to remain in Newlend until further notice due to safety concerns, although he has lifted the state of emergency. that's all the important news for today. This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. Edited by Riadistan, May 22 2016, 10:42 PM.

May 22, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately in Riadistan. Today the Chairman of the Communist Party, Yusuf al-Thuri, was arrested for organizing the large protest from yesterday. Many people oppose or are worried about the consequences of the arrest; Many think it will anger communist voters, others think the arrest is a form of censorship. The police in Riadistan are becoming increasingly more prevalent and militarized in big cities. Lots of Riadistani Citizens are concerned, many stating that they think this increase in police is an invasion of privacy. People with "stronger feelings" on law enforcement believe that this is the start of a slippery slope into a Police state. The President made a speech in Newlend's capital today; here's some of what he said: "The large, disruptive protests in my country are, in my opinion, pathetic. We have fine-tuned our system to be a democracy where everyone can affect policy if they can can convince enough people of their beliefs; if Communist's really want their ideas to influence policy, they should convince people to agree with them, and they should try to get politicians that agree with them elected, just like anybody else would have to." And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. Edited by Riadistan, May 24 2016, 02:06 AM.

[marq=left][style=color: red] ! BREAKING NEWS ! [/style][/marq]Welcome to RNBC We have news that Yusuf al-Thuri, leader of the communist party, has escaped jail. Today, when police went to check Yusuf al-Thuri's cell, they found a large hole in the ground leading to a tunnel. Police were sent down into the tunnel to investigate, they found that the tunnel leads to a small shed about 1 mile away from the prison. We have no idea when Yusuf al-Thuri escaped; as far as we know, he could be out of the country by now. |

May 23, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately in Riadistan. We do not yet know where Yusuf al-Thuri has escaped to. His last known words to any media outlet were in response to the leader of the Kumanian Communist Party, Kevin Bluecheese's, comments on the Communist demonstration in Riadi that happened on May 21, Yusuf simply responded "Challenge Accepted". The President is on his way back to the presidential residence in Riadi! President Yuhanna Riadi said he feels like there is no longer a credible threat to his security. The President is asking for countries to volunteer as possible safe haven's for important government officials in cases of national emergency. And that's the end of today's broadcast! May 24, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately in Riadistan. Even after a nationwide search, there have still been no signs of Yusuf al-Thuri. By now, most people assume that he has fled the country. The Communist Party has no idea what to do now that Yusuf al-Thuri is gone. The government is considering forcing them to elect a new leader, but Communist voters are showing opposition. After a communist revolution was sparked in the PLR, government officials are becoming more and more fearful of a potential violent uprising in Riadistan. Today President Riadi said this: "It seems communism is on the rise in many countries other than ours; I worry that this international shift towards communism could be a bad thing for the great democracies, such as Riadistan, that currently exist. Communism without control of the whole world only breeds suffering and authoritarianism, both of which are terrible things; I would hate to see these things happen in my country." And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. Edited by Riadistan, May 25 2016, 04:39 AM.

May 28, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. Riadistan has a officially changed it's national flag. The new flag's original design was created by an immigrant to Riadistan and was later edited by a Riadistani Artist employed by the government. We have some new information on Yusuf al-Thuri's whereabouts. We have confirmation that Yusuf al-Thuri has fled the country; he sent a video of himself in an empty room to the Riadistani government; we only know that he said he was no longer in Riadistan in the video. Although we know that Yusuf al-Thuri is not in Riadistan, we do not yet know what country he is in. During our 3 day hiatus, the PLR broke out into a communist revolution. Riadistani's are afraid that this may give our communists a reason to revolt, due to us and the PLR having a similar location. President Riadi spoke on the revolution. when asked which side he supported: the NUAPP or the Madani Fatih, he said this: "I believe that both the NUAPP and the Madani Fatih are oppressive, authoritarian forces that must be stopped. My only hope for the outcome of this revolution is that somehow it gets the PLR closer to becoming a democracy." And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. Edited by Riadistan, May 29 2016, 04:01 AM.

May 29, 2016 Welcome to RNBC Today we have President Yuhanna Riadi here for an interview MM: Welcome, Mr. Riadi. YR: Good Evening, Maryam. MM: Mr. Riadi, what do you think about the recent revolution in in the PLR? YR: Well Maryam, I look at this conflict and see an authoritarian regime trying to take over another authoritarian regime, which wont change the real problem with the PLR... which happens to be it's lack of a non-authoritarian government. MM: Do you think the revolution could start a similar revolution in Riadistan? YR: In all honesty, yes. Both the PLR's proximity and the ideology of its revolutionaries could help kick of a revolution here. We've already done everything we can do to prevent a revolution, so at this point only time will tell whether one will happen. MM: Let's say a revolution does happen. Are you confident that the government would eventually regain power? YR: At this point, I can't be entirely confident. Everything depends on who wins the revolution in the PLR, and if any other revolutions happen. I'm fairly confident about one thing: our neighbor to the south, Newlend, will be fighting on our side. MM: That's all for questions, thanks for being on, Mr. Riadi YR: Thanks for having me. Maryam And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

May 30, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. Today there was a terrorist attack in Riyadh. A semi-truck carrying explosives blew up in front of the Liberal Socialist Party HQ. The attack destroyed the HQ and severely damaged surrounding buildings. 42 people were killed in the explosion. Yusuf al-Thuri has claimed responsibility for the attack. President Riadi would like to thank King Jimmy of Kumania for being the only world leader to officially condemn the attack so far. Today Newlend launched another space shuttle. 3 Riadistani's will be on the shuttle. Due to Riadistan's large contribution to the making of the space shuttle, the ship is being named YU-2 in honor of President Yuhanna Riadi. Many in Riadistan's government, including the president, are reconsidering the choice to be neutral in the conflict in the PLR after some negotiations were made between the two countries. We may be expecting another vote in congress on whether Riadistan should join the war. And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

May 31, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. Here's some news from the the conflict in the PLR: Riadistan has decided to enter the conflict on the side of the NUAPP. The current government in the PLR is being given temporary control of about 4.6 million Riadistani troops to help win the war. Congress members say they voted in favor of joining the war because of recent unrelated negotiations with the PLR, the demonization of the PLR's roman citizens by the Madani Fatih, and the Madani Fatih's communist ideology. Kumania is seemingly involving itself in the war aswell, as several Kumanian fleets are being sent from a base in Calofas up into the Red Sea. Today, a video was released of Yusuf al-Thuri making a speech about Riadistan's entrance into the conflict in the PLR: "Today, the Riadistani government declared itself an enemy of our fellow comrades in the PLR, and any enemy of my comrades is an enemy of me. Yusuf Pauses for a few seconds I wish to make one thing clear: next time there is an act of violence in Riadistan, it will not be a planned attack on a building. No, it will be the people rising up against the government-- spilling the blood of the bourgeoisie as they move through the streets of the capital." "Workers of the world, unite!" And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

June 1, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. Today the Caliph of the PLR made a speech regarding the recent war in the country. In the speech the Caliph announced the renaming of the title of Caliph to Mahfuj Ghazi in order to remove any reference to Islam, which is no longer the state religion of the PLR. The "Mahfuj Ghazi" also declared that from now on, he will have absolute authority in his country. We have some more news from the PLR. 80,000 Riadistani troops are now fighting the Madani Fatih, the other troops offered to the PLR are currently patrolling the West Coast of Riadistan. It also doesn't look like relations between Axeldonia and the PLR are getting any better, as Axeldonia has refused to stop backing the roman rebels in Cyrenica. Despite this fact, the PLR is offering to have peace talks with Axeldonia. Kumania is sending the first settlers of its moon colony; Pedroia. The settlers are being sent on two separate ships: the RKSFS Frederick and RKSFS Saguenay. Many celebrations were held all across Kumania to honor the event. And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

June 2, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. We have some news on the roman rebellion in northern Cyrenica. Axeldonia has refused the PLR's offer to have peace talks and in response to PLR airstrikes, has also declared a no-fly zone over northern Cyrenica. Today we asked President Riadi what he thought about the ongoing conflict's in the PLR. First we asked him about the Revolution in the PLR: "When it comes to the PLR's original government and the Madani Fatih, there really isn't a 'good' side; both are authoritarian and anti-democratic. the only reason we joined the war on the side of the PLR was to stop the spread of communism, so that we don't have as much of a problem in a communist revolution here, or alternatively so we can reduce the probability of a revolution even happening." We then asked him about the roman rebellion: "I don't really have an opinion on the conflict in northern Cyrenica, I don't really care who wins. As long as northern Cyrenica becomes part of Axeldonia, or stays part of the PLR-- only one of those two options; I will not accept an independent state." And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

June 3, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. We have some unfortunate news from Uchub. Three rockets were launched today in northern Uchub. Two of the rockets exploded on launch, the other one fell to the ground after running out of fuel during flight. It is unknown whether there were any people on the rockets. The people of Riadistan are now calling for an early congressional election. Typically, The House of Representatives elects new members every 2.5 years, but now the populace wishes to see the recent shift in ideology represented by The Riadistani House of Representatives. The Speaker of The House, Yasser Ajam, has responded to this, saying: "We can't just break the established rules because of a tiny shift in overall political leanings; If we have congressional elections too often, legislation will never get passed." And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

June 4, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. The Arctic States has escalated their plans in the PLR. Quickly realizing that the Madani Fatih outnumbered the 400-strong expeditionary force sent to the PLR, the Arctic States ordered them to retreat; only 35% of the force made it out. Despite this, Arctic States has initiated Operation Street sweeper; a plan to retake the city of Alexandria. Today, we have some news on a big change in the Riadistani House of Representatives. The Government has finally given in to the people's plight, and will be holding a congressional election on June 14. From now on The House of Representatives will be reelected yearly, instead of the usual 2.5 years. We haven't heard any news on Yusuf al-Thuri in 4 days since his claim of being able to start a revolution in Riadistan. At this point, it seems the Riadistani government has stopped taking Yusuf al-Thuri seriously after his comment, and has begun reversing the changes that were made to protect the people from attacks and protests, such as an increased amount of police in cities. And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

June 5, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. Today, The Rhodigai sent a craft called the R. C. Snow-Driven Dreams to be stationed in the middle of the Mediterranean. The craft was sent to release ships that will pick up refugees from the PLR. The Rhodigai informed PLR citizens of the pick-up using radio broadcasting, social media, and community outreach teams. After the news of the upcoming congressional election in Riadistan, we asked The Liberal Socialist Party Charwoman, Layza Karim, if she was afraid of losing power in The House of Representatives to the Communist Party. This is what she said: "We do not fear these communists. The Communist Party has nothing to show from its recent surge; revolution has not happened and neither will a significant increase in political power. I'm tired of all this communist hype. We are not worried. Nothing is wrong." And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. Edited by Riadistan, Jun 17 2016, 04:32 AM.

June 6, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. Some breaking news from the PLR, The Roman rebels in Northern Cyrenica surrendered today after two thermobaric bombs destroyed locations key to the rebel cause. The PLR is now focusing everything on fighting the Madani Fatih. We also have breaking news out of Newlend. It has been reported that a group of people broke into a military warehouse in the city of Haima. The attackers killed five security gaurds and managed to steal twelve long-range missiles from the facility. It has also been reported that this group is affiliated with Riadistani Communist in some way and, because of this, possibly with Yusuf al-Thuri Most of our coverage on Riadistan's politics has been about the Communist Party, so we've decided to talk about the situation with the rest of the parties. Although you may think only the Communist Party has had a rise in members, The Populist Party and The Islamic Front have also had a surge. The Populist Party, which up until recently was a Center-Right to Right wing political, has become more and more authoritarian, revolutionary, and nationalistic-- many describe it as fascist at this point. The Islamic Front has always been a revolutionary Islamic party, but has had a recent surge along with the Populist and Communist Parties. Riadistan's government considers both of the aforementioned parties to be a threat to stability, only not as immediate of a threat as the Communist Party. And that's the end of today's broadcast! This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

June 8, 2016 Welcome to RNBC I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately. As the Prime Minister Haider Ihasn Al-Mayyah of Newlend's term comes to a close, the country has begun readying for a new election. The people currently running for the position of Prime Minister are Hassan Al-Jaber, Akram Al-Bitar, Toujan al-Jaffaria, and Bashar al-Kareem, but the main person we want to focus on tonight is Mr. Al-Jaber. Mr. Al-Jaber made some surprising comments about the recent stealing of missiles from an Emiratian warehouse, saying: "... I just just heard about the stealing of 12 MISSILES from some warehouse in New Oman, I AM ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGED, these Riadistanis think they can come in our country and stain the great Emiratian name. Here is what I propose, it's that we build a wall on the border between Newlend and Riadistan and it will not only keep out commie thieves, but it'll also stop illegals from coming into our great nation and stealing our jobs." After Mr. Al-Jaber made those comments, we promptly asked the President of Riadistan what he thought. This was his reply: "That's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard, and I don't think I have to explain why." That's all we have for tonight, but due to Newlends close proximity to our country, Riadistan, we will continue to closely follow this election. This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night. |

[marq=left][style=color: red] ! BREAKING NEWS ! [/style][/marq]A fast-growing Communist protest has begun around the capitol building of Riadistan. At the moment, the protest is much smaller than the May 21 protest, but there is a fear that this may eventually become a more dangerous protest due to the ongoing collapse of the communist Madani Fatih in the PLR. We will keep you updated on the protest throughout the day. Edited by Riadistan, Jun 9 2016, 06:58 PM.

[style=color: black]UPDATE[/style] The ongoing protest in Riadi is quite big at this point; there are about 10,000 people currently protesting, but still much less than the May 21 protest. We also have word that the president has fled the capital city as a safety precaution, and is now on the other side of the country in the city of Dubai. The protest is still mostly peaceful, there have been a few skirmishes between police and protesters, but that's the most violence there's been so far. Edited by Riadistan, Jun 10 2016, 12:34 AM.
