[style=color: black]UPDATE[/style]

The protest in the Riadistani Capital is still under control. The amount of protesters is currently estimated to be around 25,000-- about a fourth as much as the protest on May 21.
Some people are also beginning to protest in Riyadh and Medina; so far there has been no protesting Eastern Riadistan.

We will update again in our usual broadcast tonight.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

The protest in Riadi has yet to die down.
The protest continues to stay peaceful despite communist threats to have a violent revolution.
The protests in Medina and Riyadh have both grown individually to about 5,000 people and also continue to be peaceful.

Some good news from the PLR.
The Madani Fatih has been pushed back to Alexandria, and is expected to be defeated in two days.
We have been informed that after the Madani Fatih are defeated, the Riadistani soldiers volunteered to be in the war will be immediately brought back home.

Some news on the Newlend election.
One of the candidates, human rights activist Bashar Al-Kareem, made a statement regarding his stance on equality.

"I believe all humans need to be treated equally no matter what race, colour, social status, income, job, etcetera."

We aren't quite sure why he made this statement, it doesn't really tell us all that much about his ideology.
Controversial candidate Hassan al-Jaber also made a statement today, saying:

"...I believe that everyone should be able to carry a gun anytime and anywhere if you don't think that you're probably some sort of commie, just saying. I also believe that we should have full 100% economic freedom, there should be no income tax rate higher then 20%, companies, such as mine shouldn't be controlled by the government the fact that they watch my every move is ABSOLUTELY PREPOSTEROUS."

The comments made by the different candidates so far showcases the unusual amount of political diversity in the candidates currently running for prime minister of Newlend.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

The protests in Riadistan are still going on.
The protest in Riadi has reached 80,000 people, the protest in Riyadh has reached 70,000, and the protest in Medina has reached 50,000.
All the protests have remained relatively peaceful.

Good news from the PLR!
The Madani Fatih has finally fallen!
The General Secretary of the Madani Fatih, along with remaining rebels, were publicly executed after the conflict ended.
The Mahfuj Ghazi of the PLR has promised to extend civil rights in his country; he has also announced his interest in solving the conflict here in Riadistan.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

The protests in Riadistan are still going on.
Protests are no longer confined to three big cities though, more have broken out in other cities in central and western Riadistan.

We have news that the leader of the Riadistani political party 'The Islamic Front', Mohammad Mashal, has announced his support for the communist protests currently happening in Riadistan.
This event has spawned rumors that Mohammad Mashal and Yusuf al-Thuri are now working together.

We managed to catch up with President Riadi.
We asked him what he thought about Mahfuj Ghazi Azman's speech today, this is what he said:

"It seems that the Azman has not learned... Azman has not learned that the whole reason they have people revolting is their lack of a democratic process. Sure, there are special cases, like here in Riadistan, where people start protesting simply because they wish to be the dominant ideology, but you're never going to solve those specific cases. I would like Azman to know, that the only way he can solve the problems in his country is by establishing a government that is run by the people and for the people."

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

The three protests in Riadi, Riyadh, and Medina have all stopped growing, all individually stopping at 100,000 people-- similar to the May 21 protest in size.
Many other smaller protests have popped up in the red area shown:
Posted Image

New polls on the Newlend election came out today.
Bashar al-Kareem, human rights activist, maintains a strong lead.
Akram al-Bitar comes after Bashar in the polls, after him is Toujan Al-Jaffaria, and after him is Hassan al-Jaber, who, fortunately, is in dead last.

Despite recent protests, Riadistan will still be holding a congressional election tomorrow.
We asked Speaker of the House Yasser Ajam why the election is still going to happen, this was his response:

"The protesters want the election to happen, and we don't want to make them any more angry than they already are."

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

Although the streets were quiet the day of the congressional election due to the voting, it seems most, if not all, of the protesters have gone back to protesting.

Regarding the recent congressional election; it seems the Liberal Socialist party has lost quite a lot of its power, winning 23 less seats than in the last congressional election.
Today we have Layza Karim, Chairwoman of the Liberal Socialist Party, in the studio to talk about this.

MM: Layza, tell us, how will this loss in political power affect the future of the Liberal Socialist Party?

LK: Well, I feel like our whole problem is these Communists; if we would just put these large protests down, The Party would no longer have a problem.

MM: But Mrs. Karim, you're quoted saying "The Communist Party has nothing to show from its recent surge" and that "...a significant increase in political power" would not be achieved. Are you now taking that back?

LK: Maryam, at that time, I did not have the established results of a congressional election-- so yes, I do take it back.

MM: Do you plan on convincing the president to crack down on communist protests?

LK: I do not plan on "convincing", I plan on doing.

MM: Ok then. Well, we're running out of time. It was good having you on, Mrs. Karim.

LK: Thank you, Maryam.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

This has been Maryam Musallam, have a nice night.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

Protesters in Riadistan have broken their long peaceful streak.
There have been small fights between police and protesters recently.
because of increasing violence, police have started tightening security in cities with protesters by keeping them within a designated protest area.
Although government officials seem confident this will keep the protests in check, some people think this will just spark more violence.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

Protests in Riadistan have gotten even more violent.
Protesters have begun throwing rocks at cars, buildings, and police officers.

Kivasek has begun elections for state officers.
The President of Riadistan has announced that he will endorse candidates, but not all endorsements for each region have been chosen.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

Police have begun forcing protesters into small sections of cities using barricades.
Cities with protesters have become extremely militarized, and citizens of Riadistan are encouraged to stay inside their homes.

After cutting all law enforcement funding, Grand North America has fallen into anarchy.
The country divided into three factions within the chaos of lawlessness.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

The protests in Riadistan can now justifiably be called riots as violence, destruction, and looting have become more common.
The riots have been successfully contained in all major cities in which they are happening.
Government officials worry that even the slightest change in worldwide stability could spark revolution in Riadistan.

Some news on the chaos in Grand North America.
Order is seemingly returning as law enforcement regains funding and factions grab the all the land they can.
Kumania and Latrovia have announced the will be taking refugees from GNA and The Rhodigai has increased security on their border with GNA as a result of the chaos.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

Protests in Riadistan remain violent and destructive but, as of now, are mostly under control

We have news that the President of Riadistan is currently trying to leave the country.
The chaos in Riadistan has made the president and various other government officials feel unsafe staying inside the country.
Currently, Newlend appears to be on the top of the list of countries that the President could flee to, due to its proximity and friendly relationship with Riadistan.

This just in- protests have erupted in Kumania.
The protests are seemingly in opposition to the recent defeat of an amendment that would have traded out Kumania's king for a president.
Due to the Kumanian Communist Party's association with the protests, Riadistani's fear this could strengthen the communist protests going on in Riadistan.

The Democratic Party of Byzantine Mexico has revolted and started a civil war.
Riadistan and Axeldonia have announced support of the democratic side, the Byzantine Mexican Republic, while the PLR is supporting the ruling communists

New Newlend election polls came out today.
Bashar Al-Kareem and Akram Al-Bitar are first and second, respectively, but are pretty much neck and neck.
Toujan Al-Jaffaria comes after those two in polls and Hassan Al-Jaber comes in dead last.

[marq=left][style=color: red] :alert: ! BREAKING NEWS ! :alert: [/style][/marq]

Protesters have broken down police barricades in multiple cities almost simultaneously.
Protesters have also begun to shoot at police officers using both guns that are legal in Riadistan, and illegal guns- this has brought up the question of if these protests were planned and supplied by an outside source.

Riadistani's are encouraged to flee to eastern Riadistan if possible.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

Riadistan has focused most of its attention on getting protesters out of its capital.
Because of this, protesters have been kicked out of Riadi, but protesters are now occupying Riyadh, Medina, and everything between them due to the focus on only saving the capital.
The Riadistani Government has no released any official statements on the situation.

After some negotiations, Mauridiviah has allowed President Riadi of Riadistan to take shelter in Mauridiviah.
The president will be flying there at an unknown time, in an unknown plane, and to/from an unknown location.

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

The Protesters continue to occupy western Riadistan.
They have completely removed the police presence.
There have also been some rumors that Yusuf al-Thuri, leader of the communist party, has come back to Riadistan, and is taking up residence in the occupied west.

Eastern Riadistan is being overwhelmed by refugees from the west.
The Government is having a hard time figuring out where to put all of them, as there is not enough living space.

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

After the occupation of western Riadistan, two nations have already taken sides.
The PLR has taken the side of the communists, giving them 5,000,000 Tunsks in support.
Mauridiviah has taken the side of the original government, giving them 1,500,000 Comos in support.

also some good news, we have confirmation that the President of Riadistan is safe and sound inside Mauridiviah.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

Welcome to RNBC

I am Maryam Musallam, and here's what's been happening lately.

We're sorry for our recent hiatus!
Our news team had to take shelter for the civil war.

Anyways, after recent talks in Dallas between the parties involved in the Riadistani Civil War, a resolution has been achieved.
Riadistan will be holding a referendum on whether to become a soviet state, or stay a democratic republic.
A poll came out which asked how people would vote on such a referendum, and surprisingly, the populace is almost split in half by the issue, with 43% of the people supporting a soviet state and 57% supporting the current democratic republic.

Also discussed at the talks was an act called The Civil War Supporting Regulations Act, which regulates what ways a country can support a side in a civil war.
The act says that a country may not directly fight in a civil war, or use a civil war as an excuse to declare war on other opposing nations.
Countries may support a side by sending a legion, but the act caps the size of foreign legions at 250,000.
Supporting countries will also still be allowed to send supplies to either side.
So far, seven countries have signed the act.

And that's the end of today's broadcast!

It has been announced that the referendum will happen on August 1.
There has also been a new poll released showing that the communists have taken the lead.
The poll says that now 53% of people show support for a soviet state and 47% support the current democracy.
