GET IN THE BAG NEBBY

E3 is almost upon us, and Nintendo has already announced some of their plans for the event this year. Reggie Fils a Mech Super Smash Bros. Tournament Highlights Nintendo's E3 Approach E3 Expo 2014 REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Over the last few years, Nintendo has repeatedly reinvented its approach to E3 by creating unique ways to break news and get fans at home involved in the fun, while also offering great experiences for on-site attendees. That mission continues in 2014 as Nintendo offers a series of new channels to communicate news directly to its key audiences, including fans, media, analysts, investors and business partners. This includes a new format for unveiling news: the Nintendo Digital Event; a Super Smash Bros. tournament; a full slate of live, in-depth game demos from the Nintendo booth; and an opportunity for fans to play Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for the first time at their local Best Buy. "We demonstrated last year that we are never afraid to reinvent a proven tactic or to break completely new ground if we believe it will provide the best experience for our fans, followers and partners," said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's president and chief operating officer. "So, whether you're attending E3 in person or joining online, there's an amazing lineup of games, experiences and events coming your way." At E3 2014, Nintendo will offer four unique experiences, all under the unifying banner of "Play Nintendo." Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2014 will see the arrival of not one, but two new Super Smash Bros. games: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. To commemorate this occasion, Nintendo is inviting 16 highly skilled Super Smash Bros. players to the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles to compete in a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament. Thousands of fans in the audience and countless more watching a live stream online will see new Super Smash Bros. characters clash with existing favorites in action for the first time. More important than declaring a winner, however, this event is a celebration of all things Super Smash Bros., and a great way for new and veteran fans to take part in a tribute to this legendary franchise. More information about the 16 invited participants in the tournament, the identity of the announcers, and how fans of the franchise can view the tournament in person and via webcast, will be communicated shortly. Nintendo Digital Event Every year, Nintendo looks for the best way to show its games and share its news with fans, media and other key audiences. In 2013, Nintendo decided to forgo a traditional press conference and use a video - in that case a Nintendo Direct - to share its news from E3. The company is building on that approach at E3 2014 with the "Nintendo Digital Event," a new kind of video program that will reveal and provide further detail about the gaming experiences on the way for Nintendo platforms in 2014 and beyond. The Nintendo Digital Event will air at 9 a.m. PT on Tuesday, June 10. Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3 This year, Nintendo will offer fans a deeper look at Nintendo's biggest games of E3, with information directly from the source. The "Treehouse," the Product Development department at Nintendo of America, will provide in-depth game demos live and unscripted from Nintendo's booth. This new program will be live streamed during all hours of the E3 show. Fans can get settled in, open their browsers and experience the Nintendo games at E3 like never before. Super Smash Bros. Smash Fest @ Best Buy In 2013, Nintendo broke new ground by expanding its E3 activities outside of the walls of the Los Angeles Convention Center and letting fans play some of the games being played on the show floor at participating Best Buy stores. The partnership between Nintendo and Best Buy continues in 2014 and will mark the first time around the world that fans have had the opportunity to get their hands on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. More details about each event, including dates, times, locations and game content will be revealed shortly. To follow all of Nintendo's E3 activities, keep an eye on Nintendo's Facebook page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel. Or visit http://e3.nintendo.com. |

Here is another prediction: Nintendo will say that Yarn Yoshi is not cancelled, Sony will say that The Last Guardian is not cancelled, and Microsoft will say they are willing to cancel any policy we don't like, if we promise to just buy an Xbone. |

Looks like E3 came early for me this year. Technically not a nintendo game, but I guess it's okay to post here. Edited by Greymon57, May 21 2014, 03:10 PM.

Just 2 more weeks.... we can do this people. BTW, should we meet in the chat for the other conferences. I'll be working during the first two, but available for Ubisoft and Sony. Sadly I'll be working during the Nintendo Digital Event. So I can't watch it live |

Well here is another "Leak" that I'm sure is totally fake. I mean why would they stamp their logo on a secret document. Also that is their red logo which they don't use anymore. In any case, I'm hoping that the release date for Smash 3DS is correct... Hoping.

I am expecting one deadish series to return at Nintendo's E3, along with most things on that list, but I do agree it looks totally fake. I doubt Nintendo's full E3 will get leaked, they seem to be careful with this kind of stuff. I'm not really looking forward to the other guy's E3, mostly because press conference don't interest me anymore, and I doubt they'll reveal something that takes me out of my massive Nintendo mood. So i'll just skim after they finish. One thing I am looking massively forward to is the long awaited Mortal Kombat X reveal though, but that'll hopefully be revealed before E3 week. I must say I'm impressed by the Mortal Kombat team. It seems they have used E3 rumors and leaks, to leak rumors of their own game in order to generate hype. While it's not confirmed, it's safe to assume that the MK team leaked everything themselves. Which gives me a new respect for them on understanding gaming culture. Also there are rumors for an Altered Beast Remake. If so, this will be the first time since my childhood that there will be new games for Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter, and Altered Beast competing with each other. Also Shaq Fu, but that's not really competition. |

I don't know but I have a feeling that Nintendo will announce a 3DS Metroid... My other predictions: - Smash Bros will use NFP (NFC). - PACMAN, Palutena, Mii's in Smash. - Smash Bros 3DS coming in August. - X (final name + story trailer), coming "later this year"/"early 2015". - Wasting time on Mario Kart 8. - Bayonetta 2 trailer (showing 2 player coop mode), coming September 2014. - Wasting more time on Wii Sports Club. - Fatal Frame Wii U teaser trailer (mayyybe). - NFP games. - Casual games showing the true "potential" of the Gamepad. - SMT x Fire Emblem trailer, coming in "2015"... Please Understand. - More platformers. - Wasting time on Pushmo World. - Pokémon R/S remake gameplay video, coming November 2014. - 3rd party reel showing casual games and (maybe) COD Advanced Warfare. - Sonic Boom talk. - Hardcore Collaboration title. - Pokémon Wii U game. - Zelda U trailer, coming in 2015. - Hyrule Warriors trailer showing more playable characters + release date. I will add more predictions later. Game of the show: - Wii Fit: Your Personal Trainer Featuring Mr. Reggie, now you can stay Fit for the rest of your life for a suggested retail price of ZERO dollars*. Yes, Reggie will help you stay Fit for free! ** ![]() * While supplies last. ** You may need to tip him as a courtesy. We suggest that you tip him only $250*** *** Per minute. Anyways, I can't wait to be disappointed! |

I have the same feeling, though a part of me feels it'll end up being a Wii U Metroid. I also have a really, really strong feeling they'll reveal a Star Fox U...guess we'll see what happens. As for lame predictions, I actually have this bad feeling Wii Music U will actually happen, complete with a new peripheral made by Mr. Miyamoto *shudder* |

Mortal Kombat X KOMFIRMALITY!!!
I know... it's gonna be an epic week with them Pre-E3 announcements.
Maybe now is a good time to mention that Retro Studios is looking for 3D Artists to work on a new Nintendo game. http://nintendonews.com/2014/05/retro-studios-seeks-3d-character-artist/ |

It might be too early to reveal Retro's 2nd Wii U title at E3, but you never know. Maybe they'll show it in teaser form?
If they are going to announce a StarFox game for Wii U, they better have tons of game modes, on foot sections, online, longer campaign, etc. It's just that I won't buy a StarFox game in it's current form for $60.

a new 2D Metroid for 3DS would be pretty awesome, it's been 10 years since Zero Mission and that was a remake of the first game, we are long overdue for a brand new side scrolling entry in the series. As for the disappointment part, I wouldn't be surprised if it's true, the only E3 from Nintendo that I saw and enjoyed so far was the 2010 presentation, everything else has been pretty bleh all around. All I really want to see is some more Smash Bros announcements, a Proffesor Layton VS Ace Attorney tentative release date and whether SMTxFE still exists or not. Agree on the Starfox part too, but I was never a fan of the series to begin with, I felt that sort of shooters should have stayed in the SNES/Genesis/Arcade era and even then I was always a bigger fan of the Gradius type of shooter, by today standards, I can't see a traditional SF being a full budget game |
