GET IN THE BAG NEBBY
|
E3 is almost upon us, and Nintendo has already announced some of their plans for the event this year. Reggie Fils a Mech Super Smash Bros. Tournament Highlights Nintendo's E3 Approach E3 Expo 2014 REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Over the last few years, Nintendo has repeatedly reinvented its approach to E3 by creating unique ways to break news and get fans at home involved in the fun, while also offering great experiences for on-site attendees. That mission continues in 2014 as Nintendo offers a series of new channels to communicate news directly to its key audiences, including fans, media, analysts, investors and business partners. This includes a new format for unveiling news: the Nintendo Digital Event; a Super Smash Bros. tournament; a full slate of live, in-depth game demos from the Nintendo booth; and an opportunity for fans to play Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for the first time at their local Best Buy. "We demonstrated last year that we are never afraid to reinvent a proven tactic or to break completely new ground if we believe it will provide the best experience for our fans, followers and partners," said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's president and chief operating officer. "So, whether you're attending E3 in person or joining online, there's an amazing lineup of games, experiences and events coming your way." At E3 2014, Nintendo will offer four unique experiences, all under the unifying banner of "Play Nintendo." Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2014 will see the arrival of not one, but two new Super Smash Bros. games: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. To commemorate this occasion, Nintendo is inviting 16 highly skilled Super Smash Bros. players to the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles to compete in a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament. Thousands of fans in the audience and countless more watching a live stream online will see new Super Smash Bros. characters clash with existing favorites in action for the first time. More important than declaring a winner, however, this event is a celebration of all things Super Smash Bros., and a great way for new and veteran fans to take part in a tribute to this legendary franchise. More information about the 16 invited participants in the tournament, the identity of the announcers, and how fans of the franchise can view the tournament in person and via webcast, will be communicated shortly. Nintendo Digital Event Every year, Nintendo looks for the best way to show its games and share its news with fans, media and other key audiences. In 2013, Nintendo decided to forgo a traditional press conference and use a video - in that case a Nintendo Direct - to share its news from E3. The company is building on that approach at E3 2014 with the "Nintendo Digital Event," a new kind of video program that will reveal and provide further detail about the gaming experiences on the way for Nintendo platforms in 2014 and beyond. The Nintendo Digital Event will air at 9 a.m. PT on Tuesday, June 10. Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3 This year, Nintendo will offer fans a deeper look at Nintendo's biggest games of E3, with information directly from the source. The "Treehouse," the Product Development department at Nintendo of America, will provide in-depth game demos live and unscripted from Nintendo's booth. This new program will be live streamed during all hours of the E3 show. Fans can get settled in, open their browsers and experience the Nintendo games at E3 like never before. Super Smash Bros. Smash Fest @ Best Buy In 2013, Nintendo broke new ground by expanding its E3 activities outside of the walls of the Los Angeles Convention Center and letting fans play some of the games being played on the show floor at participating Best Buy stores. The partnership between Nintendo and Best Buy continues in 2014 and will mark the first time around the world that fans have had the opportunity to get their hands on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. More details about each event, including dates, times, locations and game content will be revealed shortly. To follow all of Nintendo's E3 activities, keep an eye on Nintendo's Facebook page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel. Or visit http://e3.nintendo.com. |

As far as predictions go, id say -Zelda Wiiu Trailer (release 2015) -Hyrule Warriors trailer and gameplay demos -Smash Bros Demos and newcomer trailers -New Mario -Possible retro title -? I honestly have no idea what they could show other then the games we already know of. Hopefully they screw up and put the games on the press lanyard again lol Edited by GohanBigBoss, Jun 7 2014, 02:39 PM.

I had another E3 dream again... This time it was the reveal of Kyurem for Smash, as in a playable character. It's funny cause i never played black & white. Anyways Kyurem was kinda big in the stage, and he mainly attacked by whipping his tail forward. In my dream I even said how Ridley would play the same way if he were added. Odd... Anyways I'm not sure if it counts. But I joked about Ridley in Smash... in my dreams. And you all know my joke predictions come true... What have I done? I hope you are happy CJ.

Iwata won't be at e3, health reasons. A shame, there's nothing I really enjoy more then having him give Nintendo news..."Directly to you!" But end of day his health matters most. |

tbh all i want is some new ssb info, a 2D metroid, omega ruby/alpha sapphrie info, and gamecube virtual console. that's all i want. hell, i'd settle for 3/4. fuck, give me 2/4, it's basically 100% guaranteed that ssb and or/as will be there. gimme something cool for those games and maybe a release date and it's all diamonds. for something probably unlikely but not impossible, gimme binding of isaac rebirth on either 3DS or Wii U. |

Yet another E3 dream. This one seems to be based on things I've seen or heard lately. In my dream I'm looking at the list of trailers. They had a reveal trailer of both Mega Xerneas and Mega Yveltal. A reveal trailer for the Poe Collector in Smash. Trailer for Yarn Yoshi. KH3 trailer with Frozen. Another Smash Direct. etc. I didn't watch any of the trailers, and when I woke up I just uttered the phrase "4 more days..." |

If we're talking dreams, I had one where they revealed a 2D Metroid game on Wii U. Unfortunately, nobody cared, and months after E3 not a single TGNGU member bothered to make a topic for it, to which I questioned "why no hype for Metroid _____?" (I forgot the name...) |

to be fair, Metroid was never that much of a huge seller, so I wouldn't be surprised if after the reveal most people get awfully quiet about it. Would be a great announcement though |

mario maker could be interesting, but its definitely not something they should put a lot of focus on. It better not be the other game besides smash during that event, that would be disappointing. Do we have a full schedule for nintendo events on tuesday? I plan to call in sick that day :P, id never be able to focus anyway. |

So..any hopes for Sony's E3 conference tomorrow? Knowing them, it'll probably be full of games I don't really care for as usual. But my hopes are -Gravity Rush sequel on PS4. -More info on Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd ( Sega was supposed to give us info before E3 =( )... like a PS4 version!=D=D=D=D -Something Persona related. - Tekken x Street Fighter reveal, probably with PS exclusive stuff. - Mortal Kombat X gameplay, possibly reveal a PS exclusive character (calling it: Sweet Tooth) -Playstation Now release date announcement, confirmation of full PS2/1 backwards compatibility. ...and that's it. The first 3 will probably not happen though, TXSF has a decent chance since PS loves them, MKX was confirmed to appear somewhere in E3, and PSNow info just needs to happen. I also may change my mind and at least have the PS stream running due to the E3 PS4 app making it convenient to watch this year. I'm also going to standby my PS4 in an attempt to claim one of the 6000 PS Now beta vouchers they're offering on the 10th-12th. Edited by Smashchan, Jun 8 2014, 01:05 AM.

My hopes were some KH3 footage/info, but SE said that they wont show that game at E3. I'll probably still watch Sony's conference though. I plan to pick up a PS4 some time in the future, so I guess knowing what other games are comming to it would be nice .
