Not gonna lie, a kinda underwhelming event. Not really anything new for Wii U. Star Fox and Mario RPG crossover were the stars of the show!

Definitely was underwhelming overall. I can see this being an E3 Nintendo fans don't look back on fondly.

I'm disappointed but also not surprised. I had a feeling this might happen when Nintendo confirmed there will be nothing on NX, as I see Nintendo sort of letting Wii U die to focus on NX, and I imagine they're focusing all their development on that.

Shame, but oh well, hyped for next year's E3 lol :P

Edit: Also holy cow 1,000 posts, yay :3

I feel it's too early for predictions, so instead I'll talk about things I want to see at E3.

1. Anything on KH3. :pacman:
2. 3DS Zelda that isn't Twilight Princess. :link:
3. Indie Titles that don't suck. :pichu:
4. Playable Starfox.
5. Nintendo's new reward program.
6. Smash Bros DLC strategy/schedule.
7. Metroid 5 teaser :pacman:
8. Yooka-Laylee stuff
9. More Kickstarters that I wont pledge to, but will hope get funded anyways.
10. Downloadable demos. (Actually make it happen this year Nintendo.)

1 week already? Wow I'm just not excited for E3. Last year the stars aligned with hype. This year... Meh. I could care less about Star Fox U's Amiibo compatibility.

But I guess if there are some good announcements I'll be hyped.

So uhm here are my serious predictions:

1. Star Fox U: Trailer, on floor demo, release date, Amiibo
2. Zelda Remakes
3. A lot of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon coverage
4. Smash Bros DLC
5. Splatoon DLC
6. Another Mario adventure, platformer, or RPG :mario:
7. Nothing new on Metroid.
8. Some Rhythm based game.
9. More apps. Like Flixster or something.

TGNGirl. Wait what
I have to agree it was a disappointment, I found the last 2 E3 Digital events amazing, but this one...not really, they spent way too much time on games we knew were coming out (Yoshi comes out in 2 freaking weeks). It'd be great by Direct standards though, I personally feel if they ended with the World Championships it had made them at least look better.

But ah, as I always say, E3 pretty much exist for the news. I at least got what I wanted with Star Fox and SMTxFE, and Paper Mario/M&L was a nice surprise. I also actually shed a tear at the end speech by Reggie on Mario.

Yeah as a normal Direct this would have been ok. For E3 you need more new games, and all the interesting new games only seemed to be for 3DS.

I can say this though: They may have not won E3, but they won my heart.

"As anyone transforms, be it a person or a company, its good to reflect on where you have been, to help guide where to go next. Over the past 30 years, more than a billion people around the world have played a Ninendo game. And most of them have played as gaming's biggest star, Mario. From the music, to the costumes, to the characters, Super Mario isn't just Nintendo's mascot. There's a little piece of him, and certainly memories of his adventures, inside all of us."-Reggie.

nintendo's e3 sucks i mean if it's going to be like this they should just do these on a bimonthly basis and call it something else like "nintendo direct" or something cuz it's not like they do that. or at least bring back the nwc. hell put a cool new character in smash! how about that street fighter guy?

man nintendo sucked at e3 this year.

The NWC and Smash direct were the best things from Nintendo this year. The Digital Event just didn't really have a big wow game that blew me away this year (other than the Mario RPG game.)

Sorry i wasnt here to experience it live with you guys (believe me it was bad enough that my works wi fi was extra garbage today). But like most i did find it all a bit underwhelming. Star fox looked great, and a few games here and there stood out, but we didnt really see any big unknowns at all.

But we cant say we walked away from it with nothing though...

I feel it's too early for predictions, so instead I'll talk about things I want to see at E3.

1. Anything on KH3. We had a trailer with Gameplay footage.
2. 3DS Zelda that isn't Twilight Princess. Triforce Heroes and Hyrule Warriors.
3. Indie Titles that don't suck. Freedom Planet & Typoman.
4. Playable Starfox. Roger that.
5. Nintendo's new reward program. -__- Nintendo we need a reward program.
6. Smash Bros DLC strategy/schedule. Not really, but we got some things to look forward too.
7. Metroid 5 teaser Technically not Metroid 5, but a new prime is goo.
8. Yooka-Laylee stuff They did release 6 minutes of footage.
9. More Kickstarters that I wont pledge to, but will hope get funded anyways. Shenmue 3
10. Downloadable demos. (Actually make it happen this year Nintendo.)Well they were Indie demos, but I say it counts.

Games I'm surprised we didn't see in the digital event:

Devils Third: What happened to this game? We haven't seen much since last year.

Fatal Frame U: Would have padded out some of the meh moments

Rodea the Sky Soldier: It comes out in October, it's weird we didn't see it

Bravely Second: I don't think it was at SE's conference either. Weird that it wasn't at either.

Third party titles or indie games in general: Other than Skylanders, I don't think there were any third party titles.

Wow did they really just snub Bravely Second? Is it even coming out of Japan? Such a shame that franchise, the first one was such a hit and Square had a great opportunity, but they've done nothing but hurt the sales of the 2nd game so much so that I think they've killed the franchise, shame.

It's being localized but they didn't bother to promote it at their E3 event.
