In the summer, several indie titles got some serious pricedrops. I bought 3 games for under $2. I reviewed 2 of them, here I am reviewing the third.

Puzzle Box Setup

Story:NA IIt's a puzzle game. No story here.

Gameplay: 5/10 First off, i'm not a huge fan of puzzle games. But this one was... okay. This game requires that you turn the 3DS upside down to play it. But doing so screws up the touchscreen's sensitivity. I recommend you calibrate the screen upside down while playing this game. Or you know just play it right side up.

Overall the way the game is played is that you tap a palette key on the bottom screen, err- top screen, I mean uhm, the touch screen. The key shoots a colored block to the 3D screen. Now you need to tr to match the right colors so you can fill in the image. there are two game modes, one has a scrolling screen, and one has a static image. The goal is the same. Click on the appropriate colored key to fill in the image.

Honestly not much of a challenge. Although sometimes I did click on the wrong key, but that has more to do with calibration.

Level Design: 4/10 The levels tend to come in themes. Some are cute & clever, others are bleh. Still I found it kinda witty. Especially one level that has Finn & Jake from Adventure time.

Characters: NA No characters, no Narrator. But you do get the option to turn your colored blocks into Kubi from BitBoy Arcade.

Music: 3/10 Not much music selection. But it is nice and subtle. So it doesn't get annoying.

Bosses: NA There are none.

Abilities: NA There are none. But in scrolling levels you do get to speed up the screen temporarily.

Replay Value: 1/10 Honestly not much. It took me forever to finish this game cause I couldn't get myself to play it. Now that I'm done with it, I can't imagine I'll play it again.

Overall: 4/10 I believe this game went on sale for $0.50 when I bought it. Not a bad price. But I don't feel I'd buy it at full price. it's a puzzle game. An okay one at that. But it's a genre I don't care for. And honestly the 3DS has plenty of better puzzle games.
