XeoDrifter

Story: 2/10 Much like the original Metroid games, there isn't much of a story. But essentially your ship loses it's hyperspace drive. And you must explore 4 planets to go get it back.

Gameplay: 8.5/10 The gameplay is not bad. You explore the planets Metroid style, gathering power ups as you go along. Each unlocked ability allows you to further explore each planet.

Level Design: 7/10 It's not a bad design. It could have been a lot better for a Metroid-clone. But for what it is, they didn't do wrong. Just room for a lot of improvement.

Characters: 0/10 Only 1 real character matters here, The XeoDrifter himself. Wait, is XeoDrifter his/her name? The game never makes that clear. Or what the protagonist is up to. We really don't know much about the character.

Music: 4/10 The music was just okay. Nothing great. But maybe they were going for more of an Ambience feel. IDK.

Abilities: 9/10 Well the game does a good job of creating a nice range of abilities. From a submarine, to super speed and super jumps, charge shots, and several weapon upgrades. This game kept it fresh enough.

Replay Value: 2/10 It is one of those games that you only play once. And I played it twice cause of the Cross-buy.

Overall: 4.5/10 I had a lot of expectations for this game, yet it didn't deliver. It's not that the game is bad, it's that the game is too short. It's over in the blink of an eye. Heck the original NES Metroid was longer than this game. This game feels more like an android game. Which is a shame because I do like the gameplay. I got the game on sale, and it came with Cross-buy. Even then, it's hard to recommend.
