Howdies. I grew up loving the Legend of Zelda. My favorite installment in the series has always been A link to the past. So when Nintendo announced Alttp would be getting a sequel, I was thrilled. But then I was worried, Could Nintendo screw up my favorite game? Nonetheless I decided to play it and find out for myself. So here we go.

Music: The music was great. The original Alttp tracks re-orchestrated, plus a few new tracks and re-mixes.

Story: Well this story is a fresh take on a concept that is quite common in video games, Bizarro World. You know where an alternate universe that is dying somehow links up with the main universe and the two now share a common problem.

Characters: Not many great characters in this one. Just Link, Zelda, Ganon and their Bizarro world Counterparts.
Oh and Nabbit, I mean Ravio. Seriously, why must Nintendo make every Zelda vendor so darn creepy and money loving? Why not a more friendly merchant?

Gameplay: Ah yes. This is where it's at. Zelda at it's finest. Classic gameplay. Top down view, inventory, classic weapons. If you've played any of the classic Zeldas than you know what I'm talking about.

The wall merging ability is surprisingly not a gimmick. It works quite well for puzzle solving. And can be used in many different ways.

Bosses: You could put the bosses in 3 groups. #1. Unchanged from Alttp, #2. Upgraded from Alttp, #3. Totally original. I liked that they changed it up like this. Classic bosses return, but we also get new ones.

Dungeons: In this game, the dungeons are much easier. Mainly cause they have been simplified to one or two items. Since items are rented, you don't need every item to complete a dungeon. Just whatever item is relevant to that dungeon.

Minigames: Surprisingly this game has a lot of those. So you can just spend all your rupees dodging chickens, or opening chests, or playing Baseball, or running across hyrule like a madman as you listen to the awesome celtic remix.

Sidequests: This game also has many of these and they are usually rewarded with a piece of heart. There is also one huge sidequest that has you collecting 100 specific items. For every 10 collected you can upgrade an item.

Items: The items for the most part are the same as they have always been. Except now item usage is based on one stamina meter. So you can't use your items too quickly or you will run out of stamina. And yes it's the same meter used for going into walls.

Overworld: Hyrule looks great. Just as it did in Alttp. Except the library is missing for some reason. Now it's a chicken ranch. :/
Lorule looks a lot like the Dark World... Im just saying. But hey that is video game logic to you.

Overall Rating: Well all things considered, I loved this game. I feel Alttp is still my favorite, but this was a worthy sequel. I truly have no complaints. I give this game a Bizarro Rating of 0/5 stars. Which in our world is 5 stars :)
