Could we not find a useful job for Window?

As Window has experience of being a window could Window still be a window even if window looks somewhere new or has decorative iron work to share the window space?

What about a nice stain glass window. Any suggestions for a theme, Maybe the club badge or a target?

That would be nice, with the club badge (in glass of course before anyone asks).

The original reason for blocking in the window was because it would be a weak point which would need security shuttering, at extra unnecessary expense, and it's really not needed for light.

Guess the best thing to do is brick it up then, but wont that look a bit odd with different/newer bricks?

The cost of removing and filling the hole with matching materials would not be much different to a new window with a boxed in roller shutter.

But even then a window with toughened security glass would be sufficient to delay and deter an intruder for some significant time whilst the alarm system is playing its happy tune to give them a headache. Couple that with an auto dialler on the alarm summoning assistance and its well covered.
The topic is drifting into security issues. So I will throw in an idea of a pre-announce system, you may have experienced them on car sales forecourts.
I would suggest that on detection of someone on the premises it announces a message informing the person that they have been recorded on CCTV which has been recorded remotely off the site, They are asked to leave now or the system will enter a full alarm condition. This will give sufficient time for a legitimate person to enter and disable the alarm.

With a phone line and internet access all this is possible and is off the shelf DIY equipment.

For stain glass complying with current building regs for thermal and security take a look at this link.
