Little wonder you hit the staff if they don't put things in the diary, can't afford to lose regular jobs that size..

Hitting the wages hurt, they learned quickly. Better losing half an hours wages than their job too eh.

Knowing you, I'm surprised you weren't a bit harsher, IMO it wouldn't pay to be too harsh or you'd run the risk of losing some good workers..

I did think about it, but given they're only on minimum wage it's a bit harsh hitting them for more, it isn't easy living on minimum wage or less as you know.

If I did the same that'd be about as much as I'd hit them with, more is a bit tough eh..

IF the same person keeps making the same mistake, but could you afford to keep that person?

3 strikes you're out if it's the same mistake.

If it's a serious mistake, then fair enough I guess..

Making a mistake is normal when we learn a job, but if the same mistake keeps getting made then the person aint learning or doesn't really want their job.

Getting back slightly on track, I saw that Clinton got close to 3 million more of the popular vote, yet Trump still got voted in by the electoral college, that kind of gets me wondering why bother having an election when the more popular person with the people loses.. :S

Yea, that's part of what I see as a bit confusing, a candidate gets more of the popular vote from the people, but they don't necessarily get enough of the college vote to win, it doesn't seem quite right tome.

It does seem strange eh, the popular vote went her way so you'd think the electoral college vote would go that way too..

Seems the logical way, but from what little we know it's a weird system with little logic in it.

You're not wrong there IMO..

Seems to me it's a long slow bloody expensive system that doesn't deliver on the majorities vote, 3 million votes is almost 3 quarters of this country, it's a lot to lose by when you win the popular vote.

I heard something about the election being tied in with part of the constitution and it supposedly ensuring the best person gets in, in this case it seems to have gone a bit against what the majority of voters wanted..

That being the case then she should've won with her experience, that and getting more of the popular vote.

The more I think about it the more I think it could be a.. better system..

Yes, the more I hear the more flawed the system seems, I guess it comes back to what they change it to if it's changed.

I wonder if a straight vote system without the electoral college wouldn't be better, whoever gets more votes or states is the winner..

I think they need something fairer along those lines, not sure exactly in what form though.

Not sure if a majority vote system or a system that saw whoever got more states would be better, I think I'd lean towards whoever got the most votes on the day..

I'm not sure either, I think the current system needs changing and updating though.

Using the state system could be a little unfair to, some states have more people than others in them, so maybe some way of working out the popular vote winner?

Yeah, I think whoever gets the higher amount of the popular vote and possibly do away with the electoral college, that seems outdated and unfair.

Us armchair politicians eh, I do wonder if it isn't tine for a change, I wonder what the US members think would be a better system?

After all the protests I'd say there's folk that think change is needed.

I'm not sure if they were protesting his winning more than wanting a change in the system, I guess the fact there was protests means it's time for a few changes in the way a presidents voted in, it's an odd system that sees the person with less votes get the job..

Probably a bit of both truth be known, I think while they were annoyed he won I think they realized it may be time for a few changes of some kind.
