I need to rant a bit here...
Despite how few people actually know about this show, it somehow still has a ton of haters: people whine about the "weird" animation, call Nathan Lane's voicing of Spot "screeching," call the songs "crap," and say that the show was "invented to brainwash kids into thinking school is good."
To the haters:
The animation is unusual, yes, but that's normal for a cartoon! Even though the style isn't typical for Disney, that doesn't make it bad; it just makes it different. If this zany type of animation isn't for you, that's ok, but don't insult it just for being the way it is!
The same goes for the voicing and the music--it's impossible to please everyone. Just because it's not your thing doesn't make it bad!
And finally, in response to those who say that it's intended to brainwash kids to like school: have you actually SEEN this show??
I don't like school myself! I've been teased and pushed around, I've been overworked, and I've been stressed out to be point that I had to seek outside help. But that side of school is portrayed in the show! In the episode "Moving On Pup," Scott becomes overwhelmed with school work, and has to ask the teacher to go down a level in class! In the episode "Attack of the 50-Inch Girl," Scott is bullied to the point that he doesn't want to go to school anymore!
What the show is really focused on is Scott's hunger for knowledge! Like myself, he loves learning, and that's what keeps him going to school despite all of the difficulties. This could be seen as a metaphor for the real-life student overcoming the problems involved with school in order to learn, and that's inspiring!
In conclusion...haters, learn to THINK before you hate!

I don't know why, but every time I type the main character's name, it's replaced by that picture. Is there a way to turn that off?
