What are your thoughts on tattoos? Do you want some? Why or why not?

I do not have anything against them myself as long as they are done in taste and are something that means something to the person that is getting it done.

I myself had my first tattoo yesterday at a charity event my local tattoo shop was doing. I now have a purple heart with a black outline on my inner arm just near my wrist and now I know what it feels like I am willing to have more added onto that. I am thinking a few more hearts in pink and blue myself.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

I love tattoos because, usually, they carry special and individual meanings for each person. I have one myself, and am in the process of saving for my next one. My current tattoo is a made up of a spliced Gorillaz lyric, "Love forever, you and me." and is my tribute towards my relationship with David. My next tattoo will be a simple lightning bolt and Harry Potter glasses; J.K. Rowling is one of my biggest inspirations and influences, and I want to pay tribute to her work.

Personally, I'm against tattoos. I don't mind some tattoos for sentimental purposes, as long as they're hidden. Maybe I'm just being oldfashioned (how funny, out of a 16-year-old :r ), but I think the way I was raised is probably why I'm against it. I don't have anything against people with a few, but frankly, those who have their bodies covered in them just make me shake my head and wonder why. D:

There are definitely some tattoos that I don't care for, but I think it's important to remember that to that person, they might have a special meaning. I don't like the look of tattoo sleeves, but I know so many people who have them and are happy with them. It's not for me, but I don't know what's best for them. :)

To me, they don't look good. I can understand it if there is good reasoning behind it. Although, in a lot of cases they look bad if it's some giant pointless thing. It also depends where you get the tattoo on your body and how many you have. Personally, I don't want any. Though if somebody has just one, it's fine. Overall though, they don't look good but I can surely understand why someone might want one. It kind of depends.

I have nothing against them, though sometimes people make some pretty stupid decisions xD I've always kind of wanted one but I'm not too sure what I would want if I got one.

I've thought about getting one, but never have because I don't like the idea of it being with me for the rest of my life. :P

I love tattoos, enjoy them alot. I'm even considering getting them when I hit 18 next year. It's just a matter of finding something you like and thinking it through whether you want it for the rest of your life or not.

Something I've heard is printing out/drawing out what you think you want as a tattoo, and hanging it on your wall. If a year later you still like it and still want it, get it.
