I'm not breathing, I must be in heaven

Letting it all fall away never seemed so easy
Releasing your grip on what you hold dear is so effortless,
Love is boundless
Watching your eyes tear up,
chips off a piece of my heart
Know now that words would no longer have no meaning
As a half-hearted epitaph reading:
“Here lies John Whogivesaf*ck. May he rest in peace.”
On the lonely gravestone and the back of the cemetery,
Cracking and being sucked into the Earth.

And though it seems the world has stopped turning,
I want you to know that I’m still burning
And taking the bullets with you.
If you fall and black drips out your skin,
I’ll take the wound and suck the pain in.
Drain you of your sickness and hold you
As the world freezes into silver glass.

I know it seems the world is deaf and no one will listen
I’ll share the hurt and scream with you
Scream until our last breath gives out
And then, we’ll carve our words into the sky and sun
Hope that the world will see
And then drift into sleep
Calmed by the serene endings of the war
That was fought in your mind…

…now close your mind
And try your best to sing

I hope these wings will fit me

Damn dude, I love it. Amazing ending. Wow, I don't know what to say.

What does "Deus Ex Machina" meen? It looks almost like "God is a Machine" in Latin.

You're close...it translates to "god from the machine" or "god out of a machine." The term was originally used in Greek drama, when an actor playing a god or similar figure was lowered onto the stage on a crane called a machina. Nowadays, it is used to describe a person or situation introduced late in the plot of a book or movie that "saves the day" like the calvary charging in.

Are you studying latin?

Nope, I just pick it up here and there. I think I'll study it some time though.

Me and my brother didn't make it, I'm sorry! We will try. Is there one next Friday? I could make that I think.
Wonderful poem! The use of Latin in the title is nice. Your word choice is really great!
