All hail the almighty breeze

They walked around like ants in flames. Zipping one way and the other, there’s not enough hours in the day. And there she sat, on the old city bus bench. She used to stare at the colorfully decorated walls sometimes, and, if you looked really hard, she would mouth that words that people had left behind.

That was her daily ritual. She would sit on the old city bus bench and watch life go by. She frowned at the drug bugs and smiled at the birds. Her light amethyst eyes sparkled when flowers began to bloom, and were content when the trees changed into brilliant hues of orange, yellow, and red.

He had wanted to ask her why she sat there everyday. Once he had even sat down beside her. All he knew about her was that every day, at six o’clock, she would get up and walk away. Every morning, at five a.m., she would come back and sit there.

The day he talked to her, the wind had begun to playfully caress the city high-rises. The wind blew her wild brown hair around like a wind chime. He stood in front of her and asked her why.

She just smiled and said, ‘Because I have to.’

The next day she was gone and the city still continued its soulless routine. The wind was still there.

It became his obsession. Suddenly, he wanted to know everything about her. Everything.

.........
Yup. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this.
