Hi Dirties, Apparently Ari submitted for her pre nom a reel where Nicole tells EJ why they can't get back together again. Since there were sooooo many scenes like that, anyone have a clue which one she picked? I think it's the naked sex on the floor in front of the couch scenes right after the black out. (Even Crystal tweeted compliments).They were good but I still think her May scenes blackmailing EJ were the best. James, if you don't know, submitted the scenes before the smex. When he falls in front of the fireplace and lights into Sami, calling her a bad mother. I like the second half of those scenes, when he's angry. Didn't love the scene where he falls. |

I LOVED those scenes where Nicole is telling EJ why they cant get back together....they were so good. Good luck to both of them! |

Ej to Sami about Nicole: I love her and I have never wanted anyone or anything as much.

Aww I loved those scenes. Ari was fantastic. Loved James's scenes as well. Good luck to both of them.

Nelson tweeted me he thought Ari's scenes were too subtle. I have to agree with him. I LOVED those scenes too. I thought Ari showed Nicole's vulnerability but unless you know Nicole's history & many voters don't, I don't think they'd make the impact they made on us. |

IMO, I tend to like scenes that are subtle....I think if its the scenes that I'm thinking about, they were very good. |

Me too Liz. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE subtle acting. Those scenes killed me when I watched them. I tweeted Ari my compliments that day. I just don't think they're the kind that gets Emmy votes. If the voting were like last year's where the cast pre noms 2 for the nomination, I'd say definitely because they know the story. But this year the pre noms are open to all....just my opinion. And it's STILL assumption on my part those were the scenes. I'm just thinking she picked them because she received lots of comments on them from her peers. But it could be the divorce papers day too. Nelson said he thought James stole the scenes from Ari. But......Nelson loves James almost as much as he loves TSJ so he's not exactly neutral. Edited by SabrinaD, Sat Feb 18, 2012 1:12 am.

You dont think the cast would vote for Ari in supporting? I dont know the specific changes for voting this year. I did see that Matt Ashford was judging. Does everyone vote for any category? |

I BELIEVE the actors from all the shows vote on 10 pre noms in each category. Where before the cast from a show voted on the pre noms (and it presumed those who got voted in were the popular actors within the cast and that's why they opened it to everyone). I'm not sure if the judges vote the nominees in from the pre noms or if they only vote AFTER the nominees have been selected. BTW James had a HUGE impact in getting the rules changed. He was part of the very small consulting committee. Michael Muhney from Y&R was another. Daytime Royalty has a thread on it and one of the posters seems to be knowledgeable on the subject. |
