As an 80s kid, Dallas was HUGE so now its back decades later on TNT June 13. My mom and I will be watching hopefully the next generation won't disappoint. |

Oh, y'all remind me when that date is close. I watched Dallas from the beginning. I loved Bobby and Pam. And the whole who shot JR was the biggest thing on tv!!! |

Tomorrow night Dallas is BACK and I can't wait! As if JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby and Cliff aren't enough to make me tune in, I have Jesse Metcalfe (Christopher) and Josh Henderson (John Ross) steaming up my screen at the same time....Double Yummy!!!!  Can't Wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thrilled with the Dallas premiere. I actually said to myself...forget Stefano Dimera...Dallas is the real Phoenix - they have managed to resurrect the prime time soap from the ashes! The writing was stellar!!!! Not only did it tell story that evenly involved EVERY single character, but, also It was just the first two hours and already there is so many lies, secrets, acts of betrayl and double crosses that I need a flow chart and a scorecard to keep up with who's doing what to whom. Hey Days...THAT'S HOW YOU DO COMPELLING DRAMA! The actors looked like they were enjoying themselves. The veteran cast members slid back into their iconic roles seamlessly and the new cast members were perfectly cast and fit right in. And without a doubt, TNT pulled out all the stops. This show has a Texas sized budget and every dime is well spent. Every frame looked positively gorgeous! The daytime soaps are suffering but the King of the prime time soaps just roared in with a vengence!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!! |

 Thanks Jody I only got bits and pieces last night cuz I wasn't at home, but I DVR'd it. Can't wait to see it all especially with your update. Larry Hagmann looked positively evil in the prevues so I'm gonna enjoy my eighties kick back of Dallas. I've been a TNT junkie for awhile now, so adding another great show will be awesome. Day's writers should take note TNT knows Drama.The Closer - great show great cast (sad they're going off the air) Leverage - fun show with great cast chemistry Franklin & Bash - OMG love these two guys they crack me up Southland - Another great drama Rizzole and Isles - So far it's ok, but has potential Another fave - Justified (but that's on FX)  |

I love Leverage...that's my fave, Love that Cast, Yep, great chem w/the crew! i watch the Closer on ocassion, but didnt' realize they going off the air..I've never watch the other shows you mentioned Karrie? May have to check them out! And I never really watched Dallas...Sounds interesting though! Thanks Dirties!!!

I loved Dallas!! I used to watch that as a child. I used to LOVE Bobby Ewing and hate JR. But the good news is, after watching the Pilot and the new eppy I love both John Ross and Christopher the sons of JR and Bobby. They are both hot and there's room for me to like both. I want to watch a show with no picking sides every now and then and just enjoy it!!! Also, "Suits" on USA premiered Season 2 last night and I am in love with that show. Harvey and Mike are too awesome as friends and work partners. I love me some Harvey. |

The other night I was reading this article reviewing the resurrection of DALLAS and it was a good review but the writer made a great observation writing that daytime soap operas are being cancelled left and right with the industry only hanging on by a thread, prime time soaps are the hottest thing. It's a true statement but makes you wonder why. I think its the writing and backstage politics. |
