Reflected Memories:

It was incredibly hard making his way through the underwater cave that he had stumbled upon, but since, at the moment, Einar wasn't around it was giving him something to do. Besides he was hoping he might find something neat to show Einar in here... though it was hard seeing a damn thing. His eyesight was already bad enough because of his species... and then cut in half because his one eye had been injured. He ran a hand over his left eye.

A fish hook had caught it a couple years back when he had been swimming under a boat, and, well, there went his sight in that eye. A pale scar remained where the hook had sliced through the flesh and it didn't open anymore. The other orb was a soft, silvery-blue, shining with life. The male would pause as he felt his hand brush against another wall. Dammit... He really wished he could make his way through here a little better. Besides... what if he was missing something cool to collect?

The male would smile as he reached around his neck. The bell that he wore had rusted some due to the salt walter, but he wore it all the same. It was his prized possession, a gift from his adopted brother, Kurai, who had practically raised him. It had been a long time since he had seen the other Tibumeru male though. With a sigh Kunai would let himself rest against the wall of the underwater cave, closing his eye. He was going to take a break for a moment.

The cave Wyatt now found himself in was a lot darker than he had anticipated when he first decided it'd be fun to explore. The sun was shining bright outside, but now that he was in here he didn't think he would be able to keep track of time. How long had he been in here? He stopped swimming for a moment to think about it, but eventually decided it didn't matter. It's not like he had anywhere else to be. He continued swimming, pick at things occasionally hoping he'd find something cool. It'd be disappointing if he got out of here empty handed. If he ever got out of here, anyway. He frowned at the thought of not being able to leave and almost started regretting this little adventure. Fortunately, Wyatt wasn't the type to dwell on anything for too long and eventually his mind was elsewhere and happily swimming through the cave.

As he casually turned a corner he abruptly paused, thinking he could make out the silhouette of a creature larger than he had seen thus far. He swam towards it slowly, picking up pace as he realized it was another Tibumeru! Quickly, he swam to the stranger, stopping just before it seemed he was going to run into him. "Hey!" He grinned excitedly at the other. "Guess I wasn't the only one feeling like adventure, huh?"

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Kunai found himself getting lost in the memories of the past. Perhaps he would have to search a bit and see if he couldn't find Kurai again. He wondered how the other was doing, and if he had found someone special, as he had. Einar... the thought of the other Tibu. The other loved to tease him, and that smug look he would get on his face at times was positively adorable. They had a bit in common, probably why the clicked so well and so quickly together. Kunai would let a large smile come to his face as he thought of their biggest misadventure. Sneaking onto a human boat. What a surprise it had been when they discovered a human was still on it!
He would have surely continued to be lost within his own mind if he didn't feel someone swim up to him and rather quickly at that. Kunai opened his single orb, back pressing against the rocky wall as he braced himself, expecting anattack. Instead he heard an excited voice, and he could make out the form of another Tibumeru in the darkness of the cave. Well, at least he was a friendly. Kunai could fight, but he relied more on his defensive skills and speed to get him through a fight rather than his attack power, which, well, wasn't that great.
"It would seem not." A small smile would find its way to Kunai's face. If the other was friendly he could possibly become a friend, and, well, that couldn't hurt at all. "You would be surprised just what kinds of adventures some of our kind are willing to chance." That smile would widen as he said this, and he would slide away from the wall, so that he could give himself a bit more space before coming to face the other Tibu again. "Though it's a little rougher getting through here than I was hoping. My name is Kunai, by the way. You are?"
~~~

Evuri:

The grin on his face grew as he received a reply from the other. Wyatt always forgot their species were often the aggressive type, but it never held him back from approaching others, as risky as it was. He figured the aggressive Tibumeru were often slower and less coordinated than him however, so he could always outrun them if need be. Since he had left home he hadn't come across any problems though, and it seemed this new guy was a friendly kind.

He nodded at the stranger's remarks, turning his body as the other swam away from the wall. "I agree! I was hoping there'd be more fun stuff around than winding passages... Oh! Nice to meet you, Kunai~ I'm Wyatt!" He reached for the other's hand and firmly shook it without waiting for his reaction then let it go just as quickly, his mind already somewhere else. "Have you found anything cool around here? I haven't had much luck myself... And I don't really remember the way out." Frowning as he said the last bit, he glanced around their position, not remembering which way he had come from either.

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Yeah, the other Tibumeru definitely didn't seem to be a threat. No, it seemed he was more excited, and very friendly. Very refreshing considering the nature of their species. Well. it wasn't like Kunai had run into any that were ill tempered yet, at least not to the point where he couldn't handle, but still he didn't let that possibility slip from his mind. All the same, it would be nice to have some company in the caves. The other would introduce himself as Wyatt and quickly shook his hand, which caught Kunai off guard a bit. Though before Kunai could properly respond the other Tibu had let go, already speaking again.
He would let out a soft sigh, shaking his head. "I'm afraid not. I was actually hoping to find something but my sight down here is really shitty I'm afraid. I don't have the use of both my eyes so I might of swam past something neat already and didn't even notice..." He would trail off, his sort attention span being drawn to a faint noise in the distance before he looked back to Wyatt. "I think I'll be able to get us out of here when we're finished. I have a decent sense of direction so, even it takes a little while longer than expected, we'll be able to get out just fine." Kunai would chuckle softly. "So, now the only question is, how long do you want to stay down here?"
~~~

Evuri:

Wyatt nodded steadily as the other spoke, listening as intently as he could. When he had mentioned his eyes, he tilted his head a bit, not having noticed the scar over his eye until now. Perhaps it was the bad lighting. But now that it was brought up to his attention he inched closer to his face after his voice had trailed off, trying to get a better look. As soon as Kunai looked back, Wyatt jerked back, realizing he'd probably want his personal space. And it might have been a little rude to stare at his scar, especially after he had just met him. Unfortunately, he really hadn't thought about it until now, feeling a little upset with himself.

"Oh-- Well we should have plenty of time to look around for something cool then!" He paused after Kunai's last question. He really didn't have much else to do. And he had eaten prior to entering the cave. He shrugged before answering. "Doesn't matter to me! I haven't seen anything we could use for food though, so perhaps whenever we get hungry we should leave." He nodded decidedly, thinking he had suggested a great plan. The thought of being stuck in this cave for longer than necessary was still in the back of his mind, but he trusted Kunai to get them out safely. He seemed the dependable kind, anyway.

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Kunai inwardly let out a sigh at Wyatt's sudden pull-back reaction when he looked back. The other must have noticed the scar, he realized. An unfortunate thing, but it was something he had to live with. Still, it didn't seem to bother Einar, so he didn't care too much about it. It was a pain when he came to his sight, but hell, it could have been worse, so he would cut his losses and move on. He would give a good natured smile all the same, trying not to let his temper flare up. It wouldn't do so good to fight... even verbally. He wasn't necessarily a strong Tibumeru, but he could be known to have a bit of a mouth on him when he got started. He would push the invasion of space out of his mind, deciding to try and focus on the other's good mood and excitement to bring his mood back to a better place.
"Hopefully at least." He would nod at the suggestion. "Sounds like a rather reasonable idea. To stay down here if we start getting hungry could lead to problems, especially if it takes a bit of time to get out. The cave doesn't seem quite as large as some that I've explored. Still... it has a lot of twists and turns." He would start to move again, walking along rather than swimming, at least for the time being. Heck, he might trip on something interesting. Since there wasn't much as far as sight, he decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep entertained with a conversation. "So some Tibumeru band together and whatnot... you part of a team by chance, Wyatt?" Then, almost as an afterthought, he would add. "Also, if you're curious about the scar, well, I can tell you about it I suppose. Though its not all that interesting of a tale."
~~~

Evuri:

"Mhmm!" He nodded again, happy his suggestion had been helpful. Seeing Kunai walk on the cave floor made him forget about his rudeness earlier, now curious to see he wasn't swimming. He supposed it probably wasn't that strange, but Wyatt much preferred to swim, or float, as he often did. He didn't say anything about it however, and simply swam beside him, or slightly above, moving along according to how the cave walls were formed.

He listened to the other, perking up when he mentioned the scar, feeling bad for having brought attention to it. He had been hoping maybe Kunai hadn't noticed, but now that he knew he did, he felt worse than before. He figured the least we could do was apologize, in case he had offended him or the like. "Ahh, sorry... You don't have to, really-- But I wouldn't mind hearing it!" He tried to sound as casual as possible, though he did really want to know. He paused for a bit, almost forgetting to answer Kunai's previous question. "Oh, as for teams... I'm part of the Envisionists! Is that what you meant--" He had only joined recently and hadn't really been involved, so he didn't really know what he might have been referring to. Or if it was even okay or him to announce it like that.

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Wyatt would move with him, slightly above his side since the other moved through the water rather than walked along the bottom of the cave. It was more natural for their kind to move through the water, he supposed, then to walk along in the manner of a human, but Kunai found he didn't mind either mode of moving. They both got him to where he needed to go, although he swam faster than he could walk. Still, going at a slower pace wasn't always a bad thing. It allowed one to take in more of their surroundings, and to observe a little more, if they paid attention.
Ah good, Kunai would think to himself as the other mentioned the team he was on. "Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Glad to see we have that in common." It would have been a bit more awkward if the other had been part of the team that was against the humans... but luckily he didn't have to worry about that. He would pause for a moment as they came to a split in the cave, turning his head in one direction first and then the other before selecting the one that was more towards the right.
"As for the scar, well don't worry about it. I might have been rather frustrated if you got that close if we were somewhere well lit, but it's not much can be made out in here." Kunai would manage a chuckle, trailing into silent for a moment. Then he would speak again, remembering that he had been talking.
"I actually got this scar when I was younger... I had always been fascinated by humans, how they worked, and how they seemed to catch fish for the food as well. I suppose you could say I got too curious, and reckless, as I would swim close to their boats with hardly a second thought, even when they were out deeper onto the ocean." Kunai would frown a bit. "As I'm sure you're well aware our kind are not gifted with the best eyesight... and I didn't even see the hook until I swam right into it. With how I was moving, and the boat as well, it sliced across my eye pretty good, and since then it hasn't opened." It had been startling to say the least... but luckily the damage hadn't been worse.
~~~

Evuri:

"Oh! You're an Envisionist too? I haven't had the luck of running into any of the other teams." He supposed it was probably luckier to not have had any confrontations so far, rather than the opposite. He still wasn't too sure what it all meant anyway, and it didn't really bother him all that much, as nothing did, at least not for too long. Though since he was part of the Envisionists, he was glad he was stuck in this cave with another one of its members. He paused as Kunai did, looking around because he was still looking for interesting objects, rather than trying to decide which path to take. He followed after he had made his choice, not questioning or doubting him at all.

Hearing the other chuckle sent a wave of relief over him, glad his little invasion of space wasn't anything too serious. The silence sent the nerves back however, as he had been expecting a story, or something. He tried his hardest not to say anything however, and simply swam with him, blinking a little at him. Once he started speaking again, he smiled and listened intently, very curious as to what had happened. His facial expression changed constantly in accordance to his story, leaving him with one of sadness as he processed the story. "Oh... That sounds... painful." He paused a little, then his face brightened with an idea in mind. "Why don't you wear one of those cool eye patches~?"

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Kunai would give a nod, a soft chuckle espcaing him. "Yep, I am. Though I haven't had the luck of running into members from the other teams either. Which I suppose could be a good thing or bad thing depending on which you ran into. I hear the Rebels can cause problems... though it is not always good to go on just what you hear." Kunai would speak calmly when it came to the other teams. It didn't really bother him too much if he might run into one. In the end they were all Tibumeru after all. Brothers and sisters.
At his new companion's statement Kunai would chuckle softly. "A bit. Luckily being one of our kind means we have a high pain tolerance, though I assure you if it were to happen to anyone else they'd still feel pain." A chuckle would pass his lips at the other Tibu's question. "I dunno, to be honest. I guess it never really bothered me if others saw the scar or not. It's not really all that bad, so its not I'll gross anyone out by them seeing it." He would continue to walk along, starting to space out for a moment again before shaking his head and glancing at the other. "So what is your backstory like?"
~~~

Evuri:

Wyatt nodded in agreement as the other spoke. He hadn't heard of any recent problems between the teams, so they must all be living peacefully together, right? At least for now.

Wyatt smiled as the other chuckled. He had never been injured too badly before, therefore he was not really sure how to imagine what Kunai must have gone through, but since he seemed to be okay now, and that was good enough for him. "Hmm, I guess no eye patch is fine then~" He swam along as the other paused speaking for a moment, still actively looking around, though he hadn't found anything interesting yet. His question surprised him a little, and he furrowed his eyebrows as he thought about it. "I don't think I have one! I left my home some years back, and I've just kinda been wandering around and meeting new Tibumeru ever since. Being stuck in one place sounds boring, doesn't it?"

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Kunai chuckled softly as Wyatt spoke again. “Yeah. I don’t know, I like it better this way.” He would admit. When the other Tibumeru mentioned not having a home Kunai would frown a little, looking to him, before smiling again. “Ah... So it would seem that you’ve got a rather bad cause of wanderlust. I’ve wondered what it would be like to keep traveling but, well, I suppose something here has caught my interest. At first I used to think being in one place would be boring... But with the shore nearby, the humans, and, well, someone rather special I don’t mind staying here one bit.” Thank god for the darkness of the cave, otherwise Wyatt might of seen Kunai blushing at the mention of that ‘special someone’.
It was as he thought of Einar that Kunai ended up toppling forward. “Ack!” His face would hit the solid floor, a grunt, mostly of frustration, rather than pain, leaving him as he sat back up. “God dammit...” He mumbled, running a hand over his face. It didn’t feel like it had gotten cut at least. Reaching with his dominant hand he would pick up something. He wasn’t sure what it was, but it wasn’t a rock. It felt cold... And hard... Like part of a ship, except it seemed like it had holes in it. “Hey, Wyatt, I think I’ve found something. I don’t know what it is though.” What Kunai had found was actually a flute.
~~~

Evuri::

Watching Kunai frown then smile before he replied made Wyatt frown as well. Not because he was upset at anything, but because he was thinking of the word 'wanderlust', and that perhaps Kunai was right. The more he talked about it, the more Wyatt wondered what it'd be like to stay in one place. He did have a nearby favorite coral reef he came back to from time to time, but he wasn't sure if that was the same as settling down. He liked being near the shore, and he figured the humans were nice (he'd never actually interacted with them), but he didn't think he had someone special like Kunai did. The frown stayed on his face as he thought that might be the reason why he wandered around a lot; he didn't fit all the requirements for staying put.

Almost lost in thought, he hadn't noticed the other suddenly disappear until he heard a noise come out of him. He glanced around the cave as he looked for him. It wasn't until Kunai called his name that he realized he had fallen. He swam down to the cave floor and crouched down in front of him, looking at the strange object. "Hm..? It looks like... a stick! Are those holes in it? Why does a stick need holes--" His head tilted a bit as he pouted his mouth in thought. He figured it was probably something the humans used, since it didn't look like it'd be useful for Tibumerus. It didn't look useful at all, really.

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Wyatt would swim over, crouching down in front of him and taking a look at the odd object. He would run his other hand over it, feeling each bump, where the holes were... Kunai tilted his head to the side, closing his single orb as he began to think. “Hmm... I don’t know. It’s not really a stick though. It’s made out of something harder than wood. I’m not sure of the exact properties though.” As he continued to feel along it he would furrow his brow in thought,
“It also has a bit of an odd shape. It’s not straight... Not completely anyway. There is a little bump along it... The holes... A hole at the bottom and a stranger, bent piece at the top with a hole.” Kunai opened his eye again, shaking his head. “I think I’m going to hang onto it for now. It’s something different at the very least.” He would get back to his feet, brushing a hand through his hair. “Which way do you think we should head from here?” He would ask the other, turning his gaze to him.
~~~

Evuri:

He listened intently as Kunai described the object in detail, occasionally tilting his head and nodding. It still didn't sound useful and he couldn't really understand what it could possibly be for, but it was interesting! Maybe they would figure it out when they could see it in better lighting. He backed up and swam up again when the other stood up. At least it looked like the fall hadn't hurt him or anything.

"Hm... forward, of course!" He grinned and pointed in a random direction, since he wasn't totally sure where 'forward' was. It didn't really matter to him anyway, as long as they were moving they were sure to get out, right? "Oh, good find, by the way." He glanced back at Kunai, giving him a thumbs up.

~~~
Reflected Memories:
Forward huh? Kunai couldn’t help but give a little chuckle at this. So what was really forward in this place? He supposed it didn’t really matter... As long as they got out they could wander around her for hours for all he cared. He was starting to enjoy Wyatt’s company just a bit more. The other Tibu wasn’t all that bad... And... His attitude was rather refreshing. Carefree. He was definitely going to have to meet up with the other again after this.
This time he had decided to swim ahead. While he was glad he had found the object in his hand he wasn’t keen on falling again. Sure it hadn’t hurt but... There was no telling his next fall would not cause injury. While Tibumeru didn’t feel pain so easily there was still the chance he could get cut or something... And the fact of his blood possibly drawing unwanted company was what bothered him now. Hell... Maybe he was being paranoid.
Kunai would give a nod to Wyatt now, smiling gently. “Thank you. Who knows... Maybe it could be something useful after all. We might not know what it is but... Maybe someone else has an idea.” ...and if it was indeed an object created by humans then another Envisonist... Particularly one of their leaders could certainly have a better idea of what it was in that case.
~~~

Evuri:

Wyatt kept the cheery expression on his face as he heard the other Tibumeru laugh a bit. It sounded like the good kind of chuckle, which made him glad they seemed to be getting along. The very early invasion of privacy was far in the back of his mind by now, only focusing on their little adventure. Seeing Kunai swim instead of walk surprised him a bit, more than it should have, since they could do both with no problem after all. Perhaps he had gotten bored of walking? Wyatt could understand that; he got bored of things fairly quickly.

He swam by the other, a slight space between them as the walls of the cave allowed hardly any room. Wyatt payed little to no attention to this however, as his mind was preoccupied wondering what the purpose of the item Kunai found could be. The thought that it could be worth something popped into his head. Although he didn't know what he could possibly use human currency for, other than watermelons, the prospect was exciting. "Yeah! We should ask around! When, uh, we manage to get out-- Which we will, of course! Soon..." Wyatt still had no idea how to get out of this maze of a cave, but it still didn't bother him. Besides, he still hadn't found something cool himself yet.

ReflectedMemories::

Wyatt swam beside him now, and Kunai moved along easily, unbothered by their position in the cave. He would pause for a moment, listening, every now and then before he kept on. He would chuckle softly as Wyatt spoke, glancing at him for a moment. “Is that a sign you’re ready to get out of here? Or at least try to? I haven’t really been focusing on trying to find the exit yet.” It was... Kind of fun to explore with someone else too.

He’d look ahead, frowning a bit. Something seemed... Strange. “Wait... Wyatt do you hear that?” Sounded like something else swimming through the network of underground caves... And... He was almost certain he smelled blood. He’d stop swimming, glancing at the other Tibumeru best he could. If it weren’t for the small amount of light produced by the rocks in this cave it would have been absolutely impossible to see anything.

~~~
Evuri::
Wyatt blinked a couple times at Kunai's questions before shaking his head slightly. "Of course not! I'm still having too much fun to leave! I was just assuring you we could get out eventually~" He chuckled a bit, more reassured himself since Kunai had said he hadn't been looking for the exit yet. It made him think they weren't lost, even though he couldn't know for sure.
At the other's voice, Wyatt slowed his swimming until he stopped and tried to listen as well. He wasn't sure what he was talking about until he did feel a bit odd, at least the flow of water around them did. He frowned and coiled back a bit, turning to Kunai. "Uhm... Perhaps we should start looking for that exit..."
~~~

ReflectedMemories::

He would stay still for a moment longer, giving a nod. “Yeah... Come on. Whatever is in here is coming this way... So we’re going to have to try and outmaneuver it.” He wasn’t afraid to fight... It was in a Tibumeru’s nature to be aggressive... But sometimes you just got the sense that certain things should not be discovered for what they were... And that danger lurked in the truth of what they were. Kunai would turn, moving through the water at a faster pace, though not to the point where whatever else was here might pick up, at least immediately, upon the movements.

“...There is a heavy scent of blood on whatever it is...” He would say, words quiet. Not quiet a whisper, but he didn’t want anyone, or anything, other than Wyatt to hear them. The male would frown deeply. “...and my guess is it was a kill... Not an injury... Something just... Doesn’t feel right about the whole thing.” He was still listening, straining to hear if there was any change in the amount of noise behind them... Any change in how the water seemed to be... Or if the scent of blood grew stronger.

“Just so I know... If we need to, are you any good at all at fighting?”
