Based on the order in which our 24 managers showed up and called for each one's genre in the previous thread, here is the distribution by groups. Brian Davisson - "I WANNA MARRY A LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER" 3A. Mauries - "THE KILLING SEA" 4A. Mario Gaborovic - "COMING-OF-AGE: BRINGING BACK MEMORIES" 3B. The New Janitor - "TERMINAL ILLNESS AND DEATHLY DECLINE!" 4B. Tuggingonmustaches - "MATRIBHUMI'S MALAISE" GROUP C 1C. Rokas - "STRUGGLE IN THE VILLAGE" 2C. Jirinvk - "BEARDED LADIES, FEMININE MOUSTACHE, HIRSUTISM" 3C. WBA - "ME IS ANOTHER: LOVE STREAMS" 4C. Gylfi - "OH! WHAT A LOVELY WAR!" GROUP D 1D. Brando - "ROMANCE AT DA DOCKS" 2D. M_Penalosa - "WOMEN SLUMMING WITH BAD BOYS" 3D. Cani - "Y NO SÉ LO QUE PENSARÁ ELLA, OR THE BECHDEL TEST" 4D. Mischa - "STEPS TO PECULIARITY" GROUP E 1E. So if I understand this correctly, there will be 2 managers from each group that will pass to the next stage, no? |

White Nyte, the best two managers from each group will pass to the second round, plus the four "best thirds" from all groups. (I used this in the previous thread (post #158) to illustrate that situation) This is an example of the possible result table in group A at the end of round 1 (group stage), after three matches for each genre: Group A 1. Genre1 VF= 40 VA=10 TV=30 2. Genre2 VF= 20 VA=5 TV=15 3. Genre3 VF= 8 VA=2 TV=6 4. Genre4 VF= 4 VA=12 TV=-8 VF= Votes For VA= Votes Against TV= Total Votes Win= 3 points for the winner Draw= 1 point for each The two genres with the highest amount of points will pass directly to the second round. If there are draws, we'll define according to the total votes ("votes for" minus "votes against") In this proposal, the four "best" thirds from all groups will be able to pass to the second round, but they might play among themselves and eliminate each other. Only for them we would take into account the Total Votes. This is only made with the purpose of giving everybody a chance to show more films. I predict the group stage will probably be the most exciting. Second Round First 3rd v Second 3rd A1 v B2 B1 v A2 C1 v D2 D1 v C2 E1 v F2 F1 v E2 Third 3rd v Fourth 3rd Third Round Winner First-3rdvSecond-3rd Vs Winner Third-3rdvFourth-3rd Winner A1vB2 Vs Winner F1vE2 Winner B1vA2 Vs Winner E1vF2 Winner C1vD2 Vs Winner D1vC2 And so on.. |

To please the majority is the requirement of the Planet Cinema. As far as I'm concerned, I don't make a concession to viewers, these victims of life, who think that a film is made only for their enjoyment, and who know nothing about their own existence. letterboxd * tumblr * website | |
