In case of ties the winners would be defined by previous history of "total votes" (votes-for minus votes-against), so we will always have into account the number of votes from previous rounds.

A weak match yet I liked the imagery and world of of Les saignantes. I think the director tried to rely on exploitation legacy and parody it at the same time + two gorgeous gazelles were certainly nice to look at. So it was kinda easy choice for me.

I will talk breathlessly about Spanish and Portuguese cinema, João César Monteiro, Ritwik Ghatak, and Jacques Rivette, and hardly ever about anything else.

There’s no question for me that Haider is a unique cultural take on Hamlet, one that’s emotionally charged, energetically crafted and refreshing to watch. Whereas for Les Saignantes, I liked the concept of it a lot more than the final product.

Two different kinds of kitsch fighting to death here. In their own terms they are far away from being masterpieces, but we still can make questions about the nature of genres and the possible ways to approach them depending on the context (place of production) and the audiovisual forms to use, in addition to plots and narrative structure.
What are the key aspects and essential codes to have in mind when approaching to a genre? Not a simple question really.

Haider held my intensest interest for the first two hours, then seemed to peter out a bit. The nightingale song, corresponding to the play-within-a-play from Hamlet, was a fascinating set-piece, and probably the most compelling use of song & dance in any Indian film I've seen to date. As for Les Saignantes, I too like the concept more than the final product. Hell of a conceptual basis for a film, though. [/b]
