Hey, sorry for the delay in upload of Kaun. Mega link should be there on the tumblr soon. Still no luck finding accurate subs for it. If someone can dig them, maybe from KG, and share with the rest...would be great. |

this is trading up! company is a great film... didn't think about it before the swap but both films really play with posture and stillness and pose. actually think it's an interesting match. Edited by nrh, Sep 2 2017, 09:02 AM.

It certainly is. I was going to have one RGV film in the cup anyway Company is def one the best that bollywood has to offer and a fine example of its genre. And also a sad reminder of how unfulfilled vivek oberoi's potential has truly been over the years |

Company has some of the Dutchest angles ever and a very interesting editing style, but it's not enough to keep me interested in a gangster film for two and a half hours. It also has a fatal lack of Delphine Seyrig. xBelgium |

xBelgium Daughters of Darkness walked a fine line between arty vampire flick and typical Eurotrash, but did it with style, intrigue and finesse. And with Delphine Seyrig having that much fun, how could I resist? Company was too pulpy for me to take seriously - the early 2000s aesthetic hasn’t aged well - but it also took itself too seriously to enjoy as pulp. Still, I liked how the conflict was resolved in a relatively low-key way for the genre. |

For once, I have both films at home on DVD. But I'm currently watching other stuff and haven't seen either, so I can't vote. But they both seem to be great.

To please the majority is the requirement of the Planet Cinema. As far as I'm concerned, I don't make a concession to viewers, these victims of life, who think that a film is made only for their enjoyment, and who know nothing about their own existence. letterboxd * tumblr * website | |

actually interested to see both of these. RGV's Rangeela probably my fav thing I've discovered in dipping a few cautious toes in the Bollywood/Bollywood-adjacent ocean, and Daughters on the long list of curio-classics I just haven't made it to yet. is the copy of Company the same as on KG (with the bad interlacing)?

You can somewhat turn off the interlacing with some options in the VLC player. It isn't perfect, but it helps with those shitty interlaced DVDs (and I guess also with avis). |
