It's probably the way how it is said that could make it...but if censors were working only with the scripts there were nothing to say for them : there was really a flock in the middle of the path to get out of there! :D

Thank to have explain me this one because it was a long time that I've seen comments about this sentence ... and never understand why! Thank to have increase my slang knowledge too.

If we keep in mind that we're writing for a show that aired during the Family Hour in the 1970s, how much violence is too much violence? And should we even be worried about such things, as writers of fanfic since - as someone once pointed out - we can do anything we want in fanfic...
What crosses the line, for you?
A little violence exists in the show. At least on the first season of SMDM . For instance the first questionning seances from Violette and Quail accomplice in episode "The last of the fourth of Julys" aren't very soft even if we never see blood. Everything is suggested but violence was there.

In fanfiction, I think that we can do more than suggesting ...without lapsing into gore of course.

My cross line will be more about who is violent. I could imagine easily that terrorists, NSB agents interrogating somebody jailled in the "hole", mad villains like Cobra in your lasts stories could be violent but I dont' imagine Steve or Jaime using (bionic) violence...unless if they aren't themselves (under drugs or mind control thumb...).

I could see Steve possibly using violence...if it was to defend Jaime. Steve's character actually killed in the first few episodes; I'm so glad they took that off the canvas and made him a role model instead!

It's surprising to notice how they have soften themselves from the first episodes to the last one.

For instance, in "Survival of the fittest", we don't see the wound but we see Oscar's bloodied shirt and handkerchief soaked in blood. It's not very much but it's definitely blood.
In TBW, in the copy and paste episode, "Fly Jaime" of course we don't see the wound and we can't see the slighest blood drop too.

I wonder if it was because the authors thought that the show was too much violent? Or because SMDM was supposed to be watch mainly by brave boys who could stand to see some blood and TBW mainly by emotional little girls? (If this is the reason ==> HYSEE ).

We also only very (very!) rarely saw Steve take a life. Jaime never did...even though so many of the things she did bionically seemed like they should've been fatal blows.
