Snowflakes. Yes...snowflakes. The other day it was sunny and close to 60. Other than that, it's rained every day since we moved here - and we are under a flood watch/warning. They are offering free sandbag materials. But today, it is snowing. Gotta love Wisconsin!

If I had a window in front of my computer I would never get any work done.

They are fully open now and are even more gorgeous! And there's a patch of violets that suddenly cropped up next to them! Will have to take another photo as soon as I can get to the store for batteries for the camera.

Rolling green lawn in the front and another green hill in the back that leads to a river running north-south and a creek running off of it, east-west. And train tracks. And TRAINS. All in my backyard!

The tracks pass just on the back of the garage so yes, right in my backyard - and I've already grown to love them! They almost never blown their whistles here on the outskirts of town; they just pass by very quietly, with a rumble or stop awhile with a whine. And there are so many! Quite a few in the daytime but so many at night that it sometimes seems almost constant.

Tracks are closer to my bedroom (at the back of the house) than to my living room, but I can hear them quite well from here, too. And the boys love watching them go by from their window seat! They haven't figured out yet that my bedroom windows have the same little shelves and they could get an even better view!
