From the 1st reunion movie:

Oscar: Michael, if you ever get tired of being top gun in the Air Force, how'd you like to come to work for me?

Steve: No, no, no, no, Oscar. He is not gonna go to work for you.

Jaime: You think he has a choice?

Oscar: (indignantly) Jaime!

Jaime: (sheepishly) Bye.

You know, that WAS a low blow...after all, Oscar firmly told her that she WASN'T going to work for him in Welcome Home Jaime, and she insisted!

I know - she really has no one but herself to blame. She could have accepted the gift of life, and gone one living on her own terms. SHE was the one who insisted - was it to be closer to Oscar? Those were some pretty nice glances they were giving each other :) Then again, she could have just asked him out and still bagged the OSI as a career.

That's true! That comment was not fair as far as Jaime was concerned. He gave her every opportunity not to work for the OSI. She did it because she was grateful to Oscar for what he did for her and wanted to give something in return. Would it be so awful if Michael showed the same gratitude?

I can see Jaime and Steve wanting to "protect" him - since they know what it's really LIKE to work for the OSI, but the way they're doing it is making it like Oscar is some greedy ogre that bosses them around. Neither of them ever listened to him anyway - so what are they griping about?

From Long Live the King (Gee...guess which episode I watched tonight):

Jaime: Tonight is the reception for the king and I've gotta be with him. That's all there is to it.

Oscar: You're stubborn.

Jaime: Yes - and for once, you're right.

From Welcome Home, Jaime (Who had the upper hand here...?):

Oscar: Okay, I'll tell you what. When you get settled up in Ojai, we'll decide then.

Jaime: Oscar, if I don't get an assignment from you very soon, I'm just going to show up and I'm gonna kick your door down.

Oscar: Ah, you're just the one who can do it.

Jaime: And don't you forget it.

Another classic, from In This Corner (yes, b4e is trolling the Wiki today, getting into mischief):

Oscar: Jaime, listen to me. (Jaime puts her head down on Oscar's desk to pout) Wayne Haley has disappeared trying to tell us something important. Now, you're the only female OSI agent that can handle this case!

Jaime: I don't suppose you'd consider putting Steve in a dress? (Oscar gives her a reproachful look) I didn't think so. (sighs) Lady wrestling?!?!

See, that hardly seems like it gives her the right to gripe about sending her on missions. I think Oscar gets a bum rap a LOT of times. He loves Jaime and doesn't want to send her in harm's way, but he respects her too much to sugar coat the missions, and tells her the deal. She ALWAYS says yes of her own free will, and often he seems quite worried and reticent about her, but she's a grown up who can and should make her own decisions. I'd hate to see him over protective of her - like she's too stupid or weak to think for herself.

From Road to Nashville:

Jaime: They've gotta be holding [Bill] in that recording studio, because the security's incredible.

Oscar: Have you got his picture, Jaime?

Jaime: Yeah, I've got it here. Oscar, I gotta tell ya - this poor guy - if you sent him in here lookin' like this, it's no wonder he got caught. He looks just like you.

Oscar: But that's an OSI requirement, Jaime. We all look alike.

From Max:

Val: The Maxicomp Computer can now monitor all of Max's vital signs, and give us his exact location up to fifty kilometers away.

Jaime: That's a range. You can have your own little built-in spy system here.

Oscar: We'll never lose Max again, Jaime.

Jaime: Yeah, well, don't you get any bright ideas of putting one of those things in me, because sometimes I happen to like being lost.

Oscar: Did it ever occur to you that sometimes, I don't want to find you?

Jaime: Well, good!

- - -

Jaime: Hey, who's up for a Bette Davis film festival? There's one at the Bijou.

Oscar: Jaime, you promised you wouldn't say another word about leaving, remember?

Jaime: I lied.

See - that hardly sounds like a heartless bureaucrat that is always sending her into harm's way :)

From Canyon of Death:

(Jaime lands hard after preventing the flying suit theft).

Oscar: Hey... you alright?

Jaime: I think you'd better call a blacksmith, Oscar.

Oscar: Huh?

Jaime: I hit so hard, I'm bowlegged.

From Deadly Ringer, part 2:

Oscar: We're going to surround the coach house at the end of the road, but be careful. She's very dangerous.

Jaime: Oscar, wait a minute. I wanna go in alone.

Oscar: No way, Jaime.

Jaime: Lisa doesn't need the treatment that I got at that storage depot. Now I know how that feels. She's a person, not some kind of a hunted animal. Let me talk to her. Maybe I can help her.

Oscar: After what she's done to you? Why?

Jaime: Because she doesn't know who she is anymore. She's frightened and confused and God knows I've been there.
