Lindsay herself had quite a bit of input into how Jaime would or wouldn't act.

She and Richard both wanted to play up the sparks between them, but the writers did not cooperate.

Wasn't every man on the planet a chauvinist in the 70's? Steve certainly was. And I hate to admit it, but Oscar could seem, well, a touch patronizing at times. And how is it he managed to find her assignments where she had to show skin? Like the lady wrestler assignment? He must have been really excited about that one.
Was Rudy a chauvinist? He seemed less so to me.

Yes, it's funny how in some ways society wasn't as politically correct as it is today and yet in other ways, we've become more acceptable of things that weren't considered acceptable back then.

Mostly I think we're better off - less prudish. Give me swearing over sexism ANY day!

Hey Thanks - he's REALLY thinking hard - Eggs Benedict or Hungry Man breakfast with bacon, sausage, 4 eggs, and pancakes?

I think hash browns give him indigestion.

LOL - you are too funny! From the look on Oscar's face here, though, he might already need a Rolaids! :)

I'm curious to know, did our Oscar/Jaime fans come about by watching TBW series before ever seeing the episodes of TSMDM where Jaime is first introduced? I was just wondering because for me, once I saw S & J together, I couldn't see them with anybody else. They had such great chemistry together and with all that they went through, it just made me route for them all the more as a couple. I guess I just feel that Steve earned the right to be with Jaime more than Oscar did.

Well, TL, chemistry is in the eye of the beholder. Because for my money Oscar and Jaime have a way better connection. When the show did that whole crazy thing of killing her and bringing her back and erasing her memory I just thought it was so ridiculous I couldn't take it too seriously. For me things got rolling when Jaime got her own series.

I know B4E loves that childhood sweethearts thing (even though Steve seemed to have completely forgotten about her for years), but I prefer Oscar's silent devotion - and besides, to put it discreetly - I just LIKE Oscar a lot more than I like Steve.

Besides - it's not about who has the right to be with her. Love doesn't work that way, right?
