Ooohhhh, I forgot about that one. Remember how he angrily waved off the men when they wanted hin to get out of there? When the door FINALLY opened, he helped usher her out? That was definitely a good one.

Yes, it's great! He doesn't even want to consider leaving her there and saving himself. That scene would have been even better had he wrapped his arms around Jaime to shelter her from the explosion. Do you agree?

Oh yeah, that would have been SWEET. However the thing I do like about him not wrapping his arms around her is that it's part of him treating her like she can take care of herself and is equal to the challenge. I like that.

See, that's the point. I think he DOES see her as capable, and more of his equal, especially after she is a bit more seasoned. He doesn't talk down to her, or treat her in a sexist manner. Maybe that's why he's a bit shyer about expressing his feelings. Besides, if she didn't reciprocate, he'd have a bionic fist to the jaw :)

The other bit of evidence that Oscar regards Jaime as a lot more than 'smoking hot' is that wistful look he gets on his face when Steve and Jaime get married. The I-guess-I'll-never-get-a-chance-now look, before he sucks it up and looks happy again.

I hadn't thought about it that way. Yes, very good point. After all she virtually solved the case on her own with a little help from Oscar. I just hate to see any opportunity missed for them to get closer!

That look says it all!

He takes extra care of her in Jailing of Jaime. He stands protectively behind her in the office, getting angry when they seem to imply she was involved in the theft. He also seems very concerned for her in Angel of Mercy.

That is my ultimate favorite episode...even more so the On the Run. It's in first season so we know early on how much he cares for Jaime. Not unlike the finale, Oscar willing to put his career on the line for her freedom. I love it.

I always get goosebums in Angel of Mercy. that may be my second favorite episode. I love how he is so conflicted about sending her on the mission. And the good bye kiss:) sigh.

I never thought about which episode was my favorite but this must be mine as well. When I got the season 1 DVDs this was the first one I chose to watch so that must say something.

There are just so many great moments in it.

Richard once said that you never knew what Jaime and Oscar got up to when no one was watching. That seems so true of the final scene. I don't think Oscar has any intention of rushing off. They both look quite happy on that sofa next to each other!

I think that could be a fun story...Do our fanfiction stories have to flow in sequence with the show's episodes? I think maybe there was more to that pillow fight... 85htrs 85htrs

Wow! What a great series of screen grabs. Look how she's looking at him - and his smile in that one - it is SO sexy...That WOULD be a great after story....I've always wanted to write one where HE'S on the island with her to begin with anyway - not Rudy....

.

In SMDM it was Oscar that was on the island with Steve. I love that Rudy got an episode, but the writers should have kept Oscar in the script.
