Yeah, because if he was just an employee, I bet the story would be different. It's a lot hard to date someone your FRIEND is in love with. To be fair to Steve, maybe he never knew Oscar was in love with Jaime.

Do you think Oscar was 'boss-like' enough....?

I don't think he really seemed "boss-like" because really, he wasn't her boss - or Steve's either. They are more like independent contractors that take orders from him for missions. I thought he seemed authoritative though.

I agree. He asserted his authority when he had no other choice but he isn't the type to constantly pull rank.

No, not at all. I like his leadership style - commanding, yet understanding of those he's working with.

I know - they just do what they want to do! At least Jaime seems a bit more contrite about it.

Sometimes, though, Jaime can get to flouncing around when she knows she was right...

But still she seems so much more charming when she does it - not smugly like she's superior, but in more of a playful way.

That's because she's a charming gal, and Steve is a big manly man - the effect of the self righteousness is different. If I were in the same room with Jaime on a righteous kick, I would wonder where she got off. She can be pretty darned superior, and it could be hard to stomach!

I've always wondered what Callahan thinks of her when she's like that. I thought Brain Wash was interesting to see the dynamics of that Callahan/Jaime relationship. Women probably react differently to her than men do - even men not in love with her (are there any?).

Messy, I'm thinking you'd probably tell her exactly where to put that attitude...in a nice, compassionate way, of course.

It's much easier to THINK something than it is to actually confront someone isn't it? I'd be afraid to confront Jaime - she could knock me senseless :)

One flaw in Oscar, and believe me when I say that I do like him, he expects far too much of both Steve and Jaime. After all, they're "only human" and I think sometimes both he, and even Rudy for that matter, sometimes forget that. naer
