Oscar doesn't have a stunt double. Richard does. So Heidi must be right... And yes, Steve/Lee did have an amazing body. No underwear though, huh? I still see him in tighty whiteys. |

I'd hate to think that was a stunt double Lee did do a pretty good job though - running with Jaime in his arms and Oscar (or Richard's stunt double) over his shoulder. That can't have been easy. |

Every time I see that scene, I have to do a double take. Even his socks are flesh-colored! |

No, I wouldn't say stubborn...I'd say he makes a plan and wants to see it carried out. He's got good ideas so maybe he just wants to think through his alternatives before he acts... I'd say Jaime is more stubborn that he is... |

I agree. I wouldn't use 'stubborn' for Oscar. Stubborn implies inflexible and he's not. Although he has strong opinions he's willing to listen to alternatives and consider them. It often happens in SMDM when he and Steve have a conflict over some plan. I'd say Oscar is more resolute, determined and steadfast. Traits similar to 'stubborn' but in a positive way. |

But what are his true character flaws? I think workaholism is an obvious one, but what others? I've criticized him before for being obtuse - the old "you must have imagined it" line he uses occasionally drives me crazy! Maybe he can be a bit fatalistic? |

Well, being a COWARD with Jaime is a character flaw isn't it??? He should have made his intentions known!!! As far as being fatalistic, I think he is, but is it a flaw? I guess, but the poor guy, with his job, I'd probably be fatalistic too. Otherwise, he's honest, loyal, caring.... just like Max!!! Is he conceited or a know it all? I've never seen it...

Oscar is defintely a workaholic. But he wouldn't know how to function if he wasn't. He is the kind of guy who must always be thinking or working on something He will never truly retire. He is not stubborn, he is determined. He sets a straight course but sees that sometimes you have to deviate from that course. Jaime on the other hand is stubborn, stubborn, stubborn to the point of causing trouble. Oscar, I think has trouble seeing the the sunlight, because in his experience there are always clouds and they tend to take over. That's why he needs Rudy and Jaime and Steve to show him that tiny speck of blue in the middle of the storm. |

I had to really think about that one! I don't see being jealous as a flaw because it means you care for someone enough to fear losing them. Unless, of course, it becomes obsessive but that's not Oscar. I think Oscar's biggest flaw is one already mentioned several times here--being unable to relax and forget about work, like when Jaime wants to spend the evening with him in Fembots in LV. I agree with you, Melchycat, that he would never truly retire plus I like all the other points you made. Nicely said! |

I don't think it's a flaw either.. Actually, what ARE flaws??? Is he truly the perfect man, except for his workaholism? I suppose he might have interests that differ from yours, but if he's flawless, who wouldn't want him??? |
