Pocky!!! If you see this in your local store, try some! They are fabulously addictive! I found mine at WalMart, in the Oriental food section.

Never had them - are they like chocolate covered pretzels?

The stick part is more cookie-like than a pretzel. Not being a fan of pretzels, I like these better.

They are very good. Here they are called Mikado (Pick-up Sticks).

There are many flavors to choose from in Japan. Here...all I could find is chocolate. Didn't like the first one so much, but ate a second one - and then couldn't stop eating them!

Mmm chocolate and cookies - what more can you want? That DOES sound better than chocolate covered pretzels :)

They are not overwhelmingly sweet - they are just right. Great with coffee, too! Next time, I must buy more than just one little box! :)

Funny you should mention that...a friend introduced me to Trader Joe's peanut butter filled pretzels the last time I was in the States and I was hooked after the third one.

It's even better when you dip the pretzels into the peanut butter yourself. :)

(When I was so sick the last couple of weeks, that was sometimes the only thing I could eat.)

That's an odd thing to eat when your stomach is touchy...peanut butter is a bit of a challenge to digest! Not plain white rice?

Nope. It wasn't a sick feeling - it hurt. My stomach was only allowing me to nibble on a few pretzels at a sitting...with tiny dabs of peanut butter on the end. Toast...nope. Fruit, soup, rice...nope. Finally, some chicken found its way in and broke the unwilling fast. I lost 12 pounds, but not a diet I'd recommend to anyone!
