That place is STUNNING! Love the fountain! And the view - both breath-taking AND perfect for them.... since it looks out over Lake Casitas!
LOL. I think I was so busy oogling the backyard I didn't even see the lake in the distance...

I've now come to the belief that every time I see a nice Mediterranean style house for sale in SoCal, I think 'Oh, yeah, Steve and Jaime and their kids could totally live here..." Now if I can only find one with a tennis court that doesn't come off as over the top...

I liked this one, even though one's got to climb a lot of stairs to get into the actual house --

And I think this one in Montecito is great (on the coast and south of Ojai) with the exception of the wine cellar (unless someone is entertaining a lot, like at least a couple of dinner parties a week, I really just don't get the purpose of wine cellars. Wine cabinet/refrigerator, okay, cellar, no, not really getting that.)

And with the views, I think if I ever won the lottery I would be sorely tempted to get a house in Montecito. Though I realize actually buying a ticket tends to go a long way in actually winning one. :D

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but when I was a kid, some Sundays after mass, my parents would take us kids around to look at houses for sale. Usually just to look, just to see what X amount of dollars would get a person in the way of a house. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours and I miss doing it, so I tend to spend some time going through the LA Times hot properties to take virtual tours to sort of satisfy that desire. Though the vast majority of the houses we looked at were never close to being this glamorous.
