Don't recall any of our cats doing that, but Guy use to swipe at my leg for table scraps. I always felt bad for anyone with shorts on sitting in my spot when we had company over because he was a very personable cat and he'd swipe anyone in that seat for scraps at dinner time. Wedge, on the other hand, would just hop up and start helping himself to my daughter's meals if he thought they were unattended.

She made it all the way under my daughter's bed with it - but when I got there, she was just staring at it, like she had no idea what to do with it! (She just knew it was FOOD - and she wanted it!)

Rocky (one of the 2 cats I have now) adores peanut butter!

Ah... Perhaps she was staring at in confusion, thinking "Wait...this isn't the mouse and cheese sandwich I ordered! Should I eat this? Should I not eat this? Oh, drat!" :D

TONIGHT:
A gentle, subtle paw rests on my leg, then *tap* *tap* *taps* as he watches me eat chips, His eyes so hopeful, subtly pleaded that I not turn him into a felon by forcing him to steal one! Then... a meow that those who've heard it swear sounds just like "Mom"!

Bubba would like a chip now, please!

I took Bubba to the vet today. He appeared to have an injury but turned out to be fine. After 24 hours of worry and tears, I can breathe again; all is well.
BUT the vet had a bombshell for me!
(Brace yourself!)
The same vet who relieved Bubba of his balls 15 years ago now swears that BUBBA IS A GIRL. Apparently, I have a transgender cat.

My daughter found some cases online where female kittens were born with balls. Apparently, it is possible. I am still stunned. Vet offered to show me but Bubba was already back in the carrier and had been through enough. I've used this vet for many animals over the course of the last 30 years and he's always been wonderful. Having trouble wrapping my head around this but I do believe him.

Ah. Wonder if Bubba has something like an extra 23rd chromosome like a human. And my cats and I were the same too, once the door to the carrier opened at the vet's office, they weren't coming back out till we got home.

I was able to get a little better look today and without going into gross detail, I do believe the vet was right...

So, will you (are you) referring to Bubba as a he or a she now??? It seems really hard to switch pronouns at this point. Just curious... (The revelation is certainly bizarre).
