He accepted easily the harness and then as he is quieter than KFC, he didn't tried to get rid of the leash. He just go to the end of it (it's a long one) and then found the better place between the garden chair where I had tied it and the leash's end for sleeping. tdddg

My purpose wasn't to go walking with him but to have him staying in the garden .

It is more secure if he stays in the garden, I am glad for you, that he is quieter than KFC and he accepted easily the harness, yide
I had tried with Darling when we lived in our big house, he could not bear it.

When I tried a leash with Bubba, he laid down on the floor and refused to move, look at me or even acknowledge that I existed until the leash was removed.

Rocky is driving me NUTS! He simply with NOT get out of the way of my walker! He loves to lie down in front of it, on his back, waving his paw in the air! When I nudge him with the wheels and he finally moves, he takes just one step forward... and does it all again!

ARRRGH!!!

It should be very anoying for you but your depiction is hilarious. I really can "see" Rocky in your path, paws in the air!!

He knows it makes me laugh; I think that's why he does it. It's not so bad when I'm only using the walker for a slight balance issue. But when it's actually supporting me - helping to keep me upright - I cannot pick the walker up and go over or around him like i would normally do. No matter how many times his tail (or occasionally, a paw) gets run over, he just doesn't get it!

Some news of Fidji who has turned in "the one thousand euros'cat".

Why does he cost now the price of a heatlthy purebred cat? He hasn't fallen in hands of OSI's scientists who had decided to create the first bionic cat but is health problems have increased and this cost is result of vet examinations, analisys, medicine and special food.

First, his intestinal problems weren't solved because as soon as I stopped the special food , diarrhea went back.
Second , since 10th of November, the third eyelid (nictitating eyelid) was covering his right eye.
Moreover he was sleeping a lot and eating few.

Conclusions of first analysis were that he was having an important infection giving him anemia. His eye is lost (but it doesn't seem to be a problem for him, he never hit furniture and still jump on tables).
Result of last samples says that he has no important disease lIke FLIV or typhus.

I carry on giving him his medicine : syrup, pill, and drops in the eye (he fight a little but not too much) and try to give him food he will like (I try fish this evening but hadn't a big success). I'll see again the vet on 12th december; I hope he will be better then but till now I don't see big changes.

So sorry to hear about the serious health issues of Fidji, it is terrible he is getting to lose his right eye !!
Hope he is going to get better, Darling has diarreah troubles too, the vet gave him some Phospaluvet (syrup 3 times a day) and Metrobactin in pills twice a day for 5 to 7 days, he was disturbed and did not eat anymore, today he ate a few treats.
Fortunately he is a wonderful patient and takes his medications without a fussing.
I keep Fidji in my prayers for a good and speedy recovery.

I know Phosphaluvet : Fidji had some when he had intestinal problems.

Well I didn't had lot's of success with fish.

I try to have him eating : it's "open bar" for him : today I give him a sample of all the dry food I had at home: the one which has been given with him when he arrived, the one I bought , even the diets one . I did errands today and bought milk for cat and wet food for cat. I've bought also little pieces of ham and chicken. He can wake me at 4:00 or 5:00, never mind I go in the kitchen and give him some wet food.

Tomorrow I need to prepare ham sandwiches for my lunch and I hope he will try to steal some ham.

In fact , he is eating a little and then stop. So each time, he goes to kitchen I put him in front of his bowls.

I weight him everyday too.

Oh gosh... I'm sorry he's having so much difficulty! A couple of things that might tempt him: a dab of creamy peanut butter on the tip of your finger, shredded cheese and the juice from a can of tuna - preferably tuna packed oil.

Please keep us posted!

I went back to vet today because ham or butter didn't interested him at all this morning.

She said that it's probably pain which prevent him to eat. His infection has grown : he had fever and his eye was very swollen .She changed the medicine with a stonger antibiotic and pain killer . He ate a little this evening (at least he meowed for butter).

With the new medicines, he is a little better : the third eyelid has nearly diseappeared. He still eat few but is less sleepy too. He has even put a paw on his favorite toy : a plush starfish.
