Very good thanks. It has been restfull.
I had only four rainy days even I I wasn't in South of France but in Normandy, so I could go swimming nearly every day.

Bionika, I know quite well this part of Normandy, I had a vacation home close to Trouville/Deauville, we just sold it this week end. I spent all my holidays here and rode horses on the beach, it was a pleasant place to live !

Thanks Bionika but it became too large for my Mom and I and we are happy because the buyers keep a large part of the furniture, the house won't change a bit, in a way it will remain as though we lived still there, maybe were we on the motorway at the same time, who knows, your daughter stays here with your Mom until the end of August, it is a pleasant time for holidays ! :D

Hello Elise

Yes it's pleasant.

Perhaps if we want to share more of our childhood memories of holidays in Normandy and not get our keyboard friends from abroad bored; we can use our personnal mail?

Well, I was there since I was 11, Mom made built the house in 1978 and before we had a vacation house in Upper Normandy, at Criel close to Dieppe.
When I was in Deauville, I made many equestrian centers all around, I learnt to make windsurfing, I was not very talented. Horse riding was my best passion, once we made a treck on horseback Deauville/Mont St Michel ! It was a great adventure !
Well, it is a part of my childhood that disappears with memories of my late brother and father. C'est la vie !

Elise ?><

Hello Elise

So, you know Upper and Lower Normandy.
I've tried windsurf one week with UCPA but I wasn't very good at this sport.
The treck would have been very nice.

I've in my mind (and French draft partially written) a fanfiction in which some adventures will happen to Steve and Rudy in Mont st Michel Bay...You may know it better than me : when I will write this part of the story I should ask your advice in order to not say too much wrong things.

One of my uncle and aunt had a small house in Franceville...so I went there for va cations since I was baby. When my uncle died, my aunt sold the house but my Mom rented a furnished accomodation, still in Franceville. We became friends withthe owner of the accomodation and now she lend to my mother a part of her house during July and August.
I don't go on vacation every summer in Franceville but I can't imagine a summer without going there at least one week-end.

That's right I know Upper and Lower Normandy.
I was not good either at windsurf !
The treck was fantastic, we rode the day, lunch sitten on the grass and after in the evening we slept in farms or others equestrian centers in the straw and our saddles as pillows in our sleeping bags, the real adventure, just like cowboys !
We rode bare back at 6am with a guide to go to the Mt St Michet bay because of the dangerous tide but alas we visited the Mont St Michel in 2 mn then I saw nothing of it, that's too bad, we had very little time !
I know Franceville, went there once, I had an aunt and her husband who had a couple of friends who lived there and visited them, after they went to visit us at Touques in the heights, we were very close to Trouville and Deauville.
Glad you can go to Franceville for at least a week end during the summer holiday, for us, it is over now ! ?><
we had a house in "Le Domaine du Haut Bois", do you know it ? It was a beautiful Domaine with many houses with no fences just hedges but now everyone has his fence, that's too bad ! there were two tennis court for all the Domaine. yide

Hello Elise

Your description of treck is very vivid, it's still very present in your mind.

I don't know "Le domaine du haut Bois" because I mainly went to Deauville : the beach and it's famous "planks" and the city. I went only once at Trouville near the harbour's docks.

It's a pity that you visit the mont Saint Michel so quickly. But you still may could help me for the fanfiction because Steve and Rudy will go on the bay too earlier for visit and won't have many time for sightseeing. I may need your experiment of the dangerous tide and quicksands of the bay.

Hello Bionika,

It is indeed, it was quite an experience !

I know Deauville and the planks but Iwent to the Blonville's beach in general, was more peaceful and there were a place to have pancakes on the beach, it was great ! there is in Trouville the fish marketplace in the morning !
It is in Trouville, I ate my first lobster in a restaurant and there was a restaurant that makes fondues bourguignonnes and savoyardes, hmmm...

Yes, that's too bad, we had very little time to visit the Mt St Michel, I hardly know it, I only know we should cross the bay early in the morning to avoid the dangerous tide but everything was normal, we rode on the sand without any problems.
I don't know if I could help you for your fanfiction, I did not even know, there were quicksands.

Elise :)

Hello Elise

I don't know Blonville's beach. This year, I went with friends to Deauville and we stopped on a beach just before Deauville for picnic (as it's forbidden on Deauville's beach) but I think it was on Benerville's beach.

Hey, cheese fondue and fondue bourguignonne aren't local specialities from Normandy!! :D (but yes : yumm!! DI6DTE )

I'll see if I need your help when I'll writing the fanfiction. For the time being, I've got another one to (begin to ) translate.

Bye.

Hello Bionika,

Blonville is the same beach as Deauville except you do whatever you want on that beach and no parking lot, I think it is awful and you must pay to go to the beach ! you park normally in Blonville when you find a place, you follow the road of Deauville for 3 kms, it is very close to Benerville.
Good Luck for your new story !

Elise :D
