Dubious is much more shady. Makes it sound almost sinister.

Oh, I agree - questionable CAN also be shady - like "he is a man of questionable character". I agree with Melchy though - dubious DEFINITELY sounds the more sinister of the two.

My last story up until I posted it was going to be called Halloween story, but that sounded boring and dull. Thanks goodness something came to me.

I have a few titles that I have but have never found a story before

Stepping out of Darkness
Life is not fair, but a fair's fair.
Jumping Checkers.

See they don't even make sense!
One of my favorite books titles although I admit I've never read it is The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven.

Titles really are hard aren't they? I guess stating the obvious is easy, but coming up with something clever...much more difficult. Some of my stories meander so much, it's hard to synopsize them into 3 or 4 words.

Still title-less for my new story. Originally, it was going to be "On My Own", but that made me keep hearing the song from Les Miz in my head! Got a few ideas, but none of them are quite "it".

Can't Run Anymore
Fugitive
Paradise
Paranoid (no....that's yuck)

So....I'm open to suggestions or thoughts!

Escape
Just a Little Problem
A New Life
Paradise Lost (oops - guess I can't use that!)

Still pondering...

I kind of like "Just a Little Problem".

"The End of the Road"?

"The Price of Liberty"?

"No Strings Attached?"

"The End of the Road"! Jaime's house is at the end of the road....and possibly, so is she. :)

"The End of the Road"?

I know that the question mark here is only about the choice of the title...but it brings also some hope. On the title of the story, there is no question mark (no hope? ),is it on purpose, Bionic4ever?

I'm arriving too late, I have thought about two posssible titles today but you had already chosen.

I left off the question mark so readers can draw their own conclusions about the title. Jaime's house is at the end of the road. It may be the end of the road in terms of her running and hiding. Hopefully, it is not the end of the road for Jaime herself.

The end of the road is not necessarily hopeless, is it? It could mean you've arrived at where you're going - hopefully home.

Absolutely. It could mean that someone realizes they've gotten where they need to go, or that they can go no further on the path they've chosen and must find a new one. It isn't always a sign of hopelessness.
