Robert Reed (from the Brady Bunch) was not in their final episode because he felt the premise was too unlikely. He called it the Elephant in the Operating Room - something that simply didn't fit and couldn't be ignored - and he refused to play it. He had to remain on-set due to his contract, and so he spent the filming of the last episode glaring angrily from the sidelines.

Was he right to refuse to act the script he'd been given?
