How do you feel when you are between stories (i.e. not writing anything)? Relaxed, calm....or stressed? I feel like I am missing a limb. Page Rudy Wells!

I've got some ideas to kick around but it's almost like a happy addiction. (One more chapter before I go to bed.....!) :D

I always feel a little liberated, and sometimes I'm sure it's my last story, but then sure enough I'll get the itch.

Oh, I'm working on something...I just don't have a lot of time to really dig into it, so I have to do it in short bursts.

I get a little nervous. I feel like I'm letting everyone down.

Really? That's interesting! I always think you should write for your own pleasure first and not worry TOO much about what readers want.

I always shoot for the personal adrenaline rush - that "I can't wait to write the next chapter' feeling. Doesn't happen with every story, but when it does....

If I don't get some kind of thrill when I get an idea, I can't make myself write it. My theory is that it separates the wheat from the chaff.

If I have to force myself to write, it almost never turns out good.

When I have an idea I like, it's great fun to write. Otherwise, I feel like I'm just writing the same thing, over and over and I don't enjoy myself. I want it to be good, and I find I can't write too many in a row and still make them good. Yes, they're stories, but they aren't GOOD stories. I really stretched myself to start with.

I've been wanting to write a more comedic story, but with my body being so angry with me lately, it's hard to get into 'funny mode'. But....gotta write!

Often a story will derive from one word...like when I wrote ground hog day all it took was my co-worker saying the name Punxsutawney Phil and that was it...Sometimes my kids inspire me They'll say something...or do something and boom...a story is born.
