Seems to me SOME people around here are just as guilty of leaving us hanging in unhappy scenarios...stories that are STILL not finished...not naming any names or anything... 97y ljn

But you don't have any unfinished work do you? :D

I have a nearly-finished story on the old computer that will likely never see the light of day. Just never felt compelled to write the last few chapters...

Was it a season 1 story? Was it not singing?

No, it wasn't bad - I sort of liked it. Just never finished it. It was a sequel to the one where I made Rudy Jaime's real father.

Wow! What was he sedated for? Did he pout and cry too though? ````

It was in Secrets - and he was really angry about the anti-marriage thing. He didn't pout or cry...just slammed Rudy's glass door and broke it, creating general mayhem.

Yeah, but that can hardly compare to what we put poor Jaime through. Steve is always portrayed as strong, confident, all knowing - and a rock. Jaime is in the series, but with a softer edge. We tend to make her FAR weaker emotionally and mentally - presumably so Steve can work his magic with her. The only sedation she undergoes in the series is at the hands of bad guys.

I think that, rather than weak, I see her as more vulnerable.

I guess I see her as weak because she relies so much on others to do her thinking for her - and looks to them for protection and the heavy lifting (emotionally - not physically of course :) )

But she can also think for herself - and do it well - if need be. :)

What about run on sentences? Does anyone have trouble with them?

You know, I have given this subject a whole lot of careful consideration and after way too much time spent thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that no one here would ever have trouble with run-on sentences because we all just write long enough to say whatever it is we need to say and then we get off the page - I mean it would be wasteful to just keep on typing with nothing much to say just for the fun of typing or because you simply cannot sleep and the cat doesn't want to play because he was sensible and fell asleep hours ago which means he will be waking me at the crack of dawn whether I am ready to get up or not but it is a noble and wonderful thing to be owned by a cat and so I shouldn't gripe because he really has me well-trained to where I will get up and start drinking coffee and he will receive his morning cuddle and go back to sleep which is about all he does except when I am sleeping and then of course - cowabunga - it is wide-awake time and gung ho - hold onto your horses because Bubba is playing Psycho Kitty all over the bed and he doesn't care if I've only been asleep a couple of hours either....he will just poke and yowl and lick and nuzzle until I roll over and get up, groaning all the way because I stayed up too late playing on Facebook but couldn't have fallen asleep until after 2am in any case because 1am is the Batting Hour and my mind will not allow sleep during what it still perceives to be a most dangerous time since both bats appeared with minutes of 1am - and yes, I know they could come any time after dark but for me 1am is the Batting Hour and that will be difficult to erase but what I really wonder most of all is if anyone is still reading this single sentence and I am guessing that anyone who started reading gave up a long time ago because this is an exercise in frustration if you are really trying to follow what I am saying - you know what I mean?

But doesn't she have to get Steve's permission first? :)
