Exactly - I mean we only see Callahan a few times in the series and her character typically isn't integral to the plot, neither is Michael or Chris's. I don't think it's a HUGE stretch to think Michael has snapped at some point, the question is whether the other people and events around him are believable. I often find I want to force my characters into acting a certain way even though I know they wouldn't, and it stretches the bounds of credulity.

Ooh - I finally found one of mine that sticks to canon! Missing! Gives me a score of...less than one percent....but at least there's one!

I'm writing one at the moment that (I think) sticks faithfully to the canon.

I wonder if a story (set between Return of and Welcome Home) with Rudy questioning Michael's ethics and Michael questioning his feelings for his patient would be considered in canon...?

I would say the canon included S & J's marriage in BEA, but that would mean including Michael and Karen Austin - and they belong in NO ONE's canon - LOL!

Yes, their marriage is canon - but not until they are in their 40's - and he has an exwife and she has a stepkid. If I was a Steve fan, I'd still rather throw canon out the window and have them get together when they're young and he hasn't been deceitful to Jaime for a quarter of a century - and an absentee father to boot - I wouldn't want THAT in my canon. That's why I think anything within the realm of believable behavior based on the characters in the 70's series is close enough.

   Yes yes yes.

Like that.

That could be a very good story Idea. Would love to see the two have it out over that.

I never got the impression Rudy had any problem with Michael's relationship with Jaime - so if you did do that it wouldn't quite be canon. Not that that should stop you, of course.

Now if STEVE were to have it out with him...that makes sense to me. Steve has several bones to pick with Michael!

But to me that also means Jaime can date Oscar - not just Steve. It's just as plausible.

I don't think it would be canon, but it could be good. NO one questioned it in the show, so it's not canon - but I think it would be close.

Not one I was going to write now....it's an old one. Was hoping I could make my score two percent.
