"He opened his door and recognized his neighbor across landing" Is this sentence correct if the neighbor is a woman? Bionika |

Yes Bionika, because the possessive "his" means the woman is the neighbor of the man, it is not like in french where the possessive adjective is conjugued with the noun. |

Thank Elzorro. I was very tempted to write "her" due to the French grammatical rule. Bionika |

We are going in Oscar's memory and dreams for some chapters in story "Help me ! ". Do you think that it's necessary to change the characters type from normal to italic for better understanding for instance or should I let them normal? Bionika |

Bionika, Personally I like the italics, it helps me see the change from the present back to Oscar's memory. I don't have to think so hard whether it's present or dreams. For my little brain the clearer and easier the better for me.

I took pity for your poor brain and posted it with italics. Thank for having answering me. Bionika |

There is a large estuary called Chesapeake Bay that runs along the area surrounding Washington DC. There are places all along Chesapeake bay to fish from Virginia up through Delaware. I know this through general knowledge. One place that comes to mind is Annapolis, in Maryland, where the Naval Academy is located. I googled "fishing nearby to Washington DC" and sure enough, a search confirmed there are fishing areas nearby to Annapolis. According to a site called Pier and Surf.com, 2 places to fish around Annapolis based on a query, Fishing around Annapolis/Severn Area, At least 2 places were mentioned, Jonas Green and Sandy Point. I think there are many kinds of fish to catch there, but the ones mentioned are Bluefish, Striped Bass, and Perch. I don't know a ton about fishing, though, myself. I hope this helps. |

Yes, many thanks for your researches. I'll probably choose the place for my next story in Chesapeake Bay; perhaps not Annapolis because my so-called sailor men aren't very honest and being too close of Naval Academy would be too dangerous for them. Bionika |

Thank to have given me the idea of Chesapeake Bay. I've made some resarches on it and on Maryland and I found the perfect place for my story in progress. Moreover, I've learnt some geography about you country! I had never realized that Washington D.C. was so close of the sea and landlocked in Maryland. Which shows that writing fanfiction is very useful! Bionika |

Do you know how to call the kind of automatic typewriter which types news in Oscar office? (you could see it at the beginning of SMDM episode : "nuclear alert"). ? I think, it's fax ancestor and remember to have seen something like that when I began to work but even in French I can't remember it's name. Bionika |
