Welcome to Starborn Realms! Currently, we are not open! However, do feel free to come in and take a look at what we have so far, with no obligation. What we have here is a Fantasy setting in which there is a whole world full of Magic, Alchemy, Monsters, Gods, and opportunity for discovery and invention! We are starting with a primal idea with which we will allow player-created content such as new monsters and types of magic, and even inventing things as an Artificer, or being part of an exploration team discovering new life on unexplored islands! There is a whole world that we need help discovering and you can be a part of it! Just bring your imagination! -Staff |

The Beginner's Guide All the things you need to know to get started ASAP 1. Getting Familiarized with The World. Well, the one good place to start, as it is with any new board for a new member, is the Rules. Of course, as well as the rules themselves, which tell you the rules of the board, you will need to also know the way the world works in-game. You can find all the stuff you need to know in one comprehensive section, just follow this link. This part is likely to take the longest. You do not have to read absolutely everything, but if you are a person who likes details you will likely enjoy reading through all of the important guides and the optional guides alike. Of course, for realism, if you plan on having a mundane character incapable or otherwise uninterested and ignorant of the way Magic works, then don't read about it and you will have an easier time playing that character! 2. Character Creation. As far as creating your character, most of what you need to know is found in the guides in the link above. The template cane be found in Registration. There, you will find The Character Creation Template and you should find that it easily takes you through the process of creating your character. If you have any questions or need help, please let an Admin know. As far as what kind of character you should make, much of the information you are looking for should be found in the Library. Some helpful documents, however, can be found here and here 3. Socializing, Networking, Plotting Well, if you're new to this kind of thing, then I have to tell you that you probably aren't ready. The thing that really makes all of this fun is the people. Sure, you can get into roleplaying right now if you really want to, and you can always come to me to plot with and post with. I can even play the part of the world in a topic you'd like to start. Some people enjoy just writing for the sake of writing, putting up long and honestly quite interesting topics that are all solo. However, the idea that really drives a good board is a sense of community. And you can't get any community without communication. You may find that you enjoy roleplaying only with a few select friends within a 'clique' for whatever reasons, but remember that nobody was just magically your friend! Reaching out and trying to get to know people is where you can make new friends, or at least, acquaintances. If you would like to get involved in a plot, we have a forum area specifically for this called, Plotting and in it you can make a personal plotting thread. That's it! Three steps and you're on your way to being part of our world and our community! Can't wait to meet you and see you on the board! Edited by Saint, 27/03/2015 - 05:28 pm.
