 METAL GEAR SOLID VIII: GROUND 8-BITS Metal Gear Solid VIII: Ground 8-Bits (MGS8BTS) is a top down 2-d sneaking game. Slightly based on the forth-coming Metal Gear-game Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (of which I have no idea of how it'll actually play!) You take the role of Jack "Naked Punished Snake" Big Boss (or something) and your mission is to locate and rescue your friend Chico from a Cuban prison camp. On your way you must rescue as many prisoners as you can on this metalgearisque mini-mission! Avoid vigilant guards with unbelievable vision of around 4 metres! Use your tranquilizer gun to survive even the tightest spot as your enemies will constantly try to look out for intruders while patrolling a rectangular path! Play with your friends and score the highest score of your neighborhood in this 20-minute-lasting offline game! FEATURES: - More (or less) than 1 mission to play of full-on stealth action! - Magnificent graphics provided by MS Paint art! - Incredible enemy AI constructed by half an hour of coding! - Mind blowing story that is completely based on a trailer we saw over a year ago! SCREENS:     BACKGROUND: This project started as a smart-ass trial to see if I can actually do anything with Game Maker. Stuff turned out to be smarter than I expected and the brain fart of an idea turned out to be this stealthish fan game to the upcoming Metal Gear-title. If I'm lucky I might be able to have MGS8BTS ready for release before the (likely) million times better MGSV: Ground Zeroes is released so you have something to easen the anticipation.
