Why go from THAT to REX. It's dumb. It's also dumb that Kojima would think we'd fall for the Skullface ruse. Though, I know what the second to last transformation is hinting at, but yeah.

And he's seemed to have trolled the entire of GAF who are like 'OMG BB IS SKULLY, WAT A SPOILER BRO'

The way Kojima is using Skullface, I think it's symbolism, no doubt. Big Boss wanted to kill Skullface, in turn becoming his worst enemy. The second to last is his death, and Skullface is like a ''This is what lead to your death''. Trying to kill someone but ultimately becoming them (agent of chaos). GAF is fucking stupid. I noticed you can see Tretij Rebenok (it's Mantis, come on, his name fucking means ''The Third Child ffs) flying around while the Metal Gear is walking upright. I wonder if tahat Metal Gear is even a mech, or if it's Tretij Rebenok just fucking with your mind, scaring the shit out of you and making you think it's something it isn't. I would love yo believe Kojima isn't THAT dumb to make a Metal Gear a fuckin orbital frame and then give us REX... Ocelot is also not in the group shot. Guess he betrays you at some point. >Kojima using the skull face paint to also try and imply BB is Skullface Naw, not this time, Kojima. I'm going to sleep. This trailer upset me. BANNED Posts: -8,383,597 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Jan 18, 2012	So, I fucking called it the new Metal Gear is an Orbital Frame. lmao Though watching the trailer for the 4-5th time (dem feels) it seems that it's only able to move around like that due to Mantis's controlling it. If it was intended to walk upright Liquid would have been able to do that from the start and never have gotten stuck. Kojima has also talked about the reasons for it walk upright as to do with evolution and talking about the human brain, we also see that Mamal Pod (in other trailers) which if you tie those together suggests it's an AI controlled (but politable) Metal Gear that can be manipulated by Mantis. Yea I agree. The metal gear looks rather silly. I Always defended peace walker for being a Kubrick style going on. But this is just weird design wise. It has some relevance as a theme or meaning but the overall structure is just kinda out of place. And the big boss going to skull I knew all the tin foil hat conspiracy theorists would be dumb enough to buy that shit. It was too easy for them to take a symbolic thing as literal. This trailer ultimately left me with "I don't care I want to play this thing" glad this was the last trailer and not the first.

Was thinking about this, in the first proper MGSV trailer Miller says "cypher's working on a new project, one that will surpass Metal Gear"... well that can't be another MG, so it must be this thing which is clearly more powerful than REX but it looks to require Mantis in order to control it, you don't get him on board or someone like him, and the project and MG falls apart.
