@LeGuy, yea I remember you calling Kojima a fcking asshole etc, just like many fans. I don't like that because I respect him, but it was no reason to ban you on MGI...again. So sorry about that mate :(. If that would be reason enough, half of MGI would be gone lol. I don't know who did it and haven't asked lol but I follow rules given by Nyx  and so wouldn't make sense to do it just because of something so little.Yeah I know your new user now thx :D, hopefully you stay with us longer like the past 2 years and if get banned again for no good reason, I'll talk about it with others. Actually, you were supposed to be able to drive the Battle Gear in the open world. The game balance was ruined because Battle Gear is an overpowered slaughter machine when put in player hands. Actually, I don't like Power Rangers. Never have. It was what popped into my head when I imagined 5 Sahalanthropusses turning into different limbs for a bigger Sahalanthropus... Which is stupid, to be honest. Even stupidder in Metal Gear. I have played every game in the Metal Gear franchise. You assume too much. You also assume there's no technological development in the Metal Gear franchise. Arsenal Gear was cutting edge in 2009. Why would they have an equivalent in 1984, or even a functional prototype? And fighting 5 Sahalahtropusses when just 1 can kill you easily would get more annoying than A Quiet Exit. Raiden fighting the RAYs only worked because the RAYs were mass produced, thus not as powerful as normal Metal Gears, easier to take down, and their AIs were vulnerable to interference via chaff grenades. Psycho Mantis isn't. And I still want to know where you got going into space from, or having the Sahalanthropusses merge into one. Personally, I've always preferred fighting a Metal Gear without piloting one. Don't get me wrong, I loved the REX vs RAY fight, but I didn't find it hard, even on Extreme difficulty. To me, that made the fight the most forgettable one in the game. I often forget to mention it when talking about MGS4. On the other hand, I'll never forget the thrill of fighting REX on my own, armed with nothing but a missile launcher. I think that's what Kojima wanted. Edited by Raskalov, Sep 16 2015, 08:36 PM.

It was never said or implied or hinted at or even discussed anywhere by anyone we'd be going to space, or seeing a Voltron Metal Gear. What the fuck, where are you getting this, Options? Note: Why would someone think of Robotech or Transformers (aside from, say, Devastator) when thinking about merging robots that come in groups of five? |

FOB missions are absolute bullshit. Everyday im attacked by one guy and retaliation against him is impossible. Not only he's 24/7 in the game but also has invicibility hax and im really suspecting autoaim or some aim assistance. One time when i sneaked up on him he survived a shot from rocket launcher and whole magazine of a rifle. No cheaters porotection whatsoever + being forced to have FOB is so crappy i cant even express that. If i stop playing for a while when i comeback my base will be empty. |

Well, of course I was fantasizing. I thought it was clear enough in this apparently shocking original post. But these fantasms were based on pure solid experience too. I just missed Acids and Twin snakes. We are not here to show out our scars, but I was playing MG on real MSX2 hardware right after playing and loving Kojima's Penguin Adventure, the sequel of antartic adventure on a MSX1 hardware (my both MSX's are up and running - Yeah !!, although some keys are destroyed, guess why xD- and there is ton to say on the role of this platform in Microsoft vs Apple war in the 80's, but it is not the subject). You can see Sunny playing it on PSP with it in MGS4... Konami was the principal publisher of good games on this platform (they published few crappy titles as well). That's why I was particularly touched by this kind Kojima attention of showing a magnetophone hooked to a MSX2 in V... All those little flash backs are like... Back to my condemnation, I served my feeling like how I was shocked by the whole interface of MGS2 going nuts inside Arsenal, shocked about having even a last duel with Solidus on that roof-top after Arsenal + Rays duels, crazy about the fake death pill and dozen of more fun stuff. I simply tried to explain how crazy things I expected from V. Not guilty ! OK ? If you guys prefer fighting a single sahelanthropus and that's it because he is strong enough... I guess you miss something, but it is my opinion. Kojima can serve but do not want too hard stuff. "Rex Vs Ray" was easy on purpose. He was just making fun of us (LOL), coz when I saw the duel's specs for the first time, I went... Man, this is going to take a bit... :DD But he tricked us ! Actually, I prefer fighting a single Sahalanthropus because I don't want to get hit by five railguns at once, or have to avoid any more bullets and missiles than I was already trying to avoid. I mean the gameplay drama of seeing tons of Rays coming (and forcing you to find da technique, BTW...) just reminded me a DBZ movie chapter, Goku and Vegeta seeing hundreds of Coolers arriving after taking all their energy to kill a single one...

The game would end right there. Venom Snake had enough trouble taking down one Sahalanthropus with the probably barely moderate gear Mother Base had developed by then. Even with MB support, he'd be fucked. And poor, if he survived. |
