Raiden absolutely grew on me. I'm fairly young, so when I watched my brother play MGS2 a lot I never really questioned why he wasn't playing as Solid Snake. I was aware he wasn't, but I wasn't as big a fan of the games as I am now to care. What he represents and the situation he was in, I have the utmost respect for him. |

Leguy, you can post your thoughts on the ending. At no point during those awful pages were we ever talking about the ending. The 2 people scotia and myself are referring to "Big Paws" and "Options". Paws and myself were arguing about gameplay elements and design. He was listing "flaws" that weren't flaws and didn't care to explain why they were. I countered what he said with logic and evidence as to why he was wrong and he decided to ignore every point that was brought to him. If someone doesn't want to discuss like an adult, then they don't belong here. Edited by SolidLiquid, Sep 17 2015, 10:19 PM.

"Pretty sure, although I didn't read the whole thing :)." If you've seen what he said about how he expected we'd fight Sahelanthropus in space, or what he said about Snake being invincible, you've really seen everything. Edited by Raskalov, Sep 17 2015, 11:01 PM.

Ah here it comes fellas, they finally showed what they've been hiding, they showed the outfits that were supposed to be part of the game, as a DLC I guess? (I hope at least, the last thing I want is an MB price for each and everyone of them) Here are the ones they showed (http://imgur.com/a/pGBYg) Like the tuxedo for example (http://imgur.com/vbgEcVH), that's something every MGS had since MGS3, why would they not include it in the game, I was looking forward to unlocking it. Never the less, I'm happy that there are more stuff and content to come. Also MGO3 looks fantastic! I got really freaking excited when I heard Sean Eyestone say that MGO will be available for EVERYONE who owns MGSV on October, I was like WHAT EVEN US PC PLAYERS?, so I asked peeler and turned out no, MGO for PC is still coming next year .... what a huge bummer that was. -(https://twitter.com/xPlatinumFox/status/644584503487393792)- made me lol. I guess some sort of new thing is coming to FOB as well? something called FOB Online? seems like a huge update to the FOB system, all I ever hoped was more options, like trading resources or soldiers or stuff like that, at least something like what PW had, and I hoped for some sort of co-op, I dunno I wanted to be able to go into one of my friend's FOBs and hang out and goof off with em you know? hopefully they implement these things. BUUT, As I said I have a bad feeling about how they're going to handle the new content.. for all we know we could be getting more stuff that would only be available to us if we paid MB coins, since right now I don't see any good use to it other than more FOBs, they're gonna try to milk us more. Also I nerded out when I saw this http://i.imgur.com/BKZdH6g.gifv Edited by iExPreZz, Sep 17 2015, 11:11 PM.

As someone who often gets uncomfortable in multiplayer, I kind of wish Ocelot was playable in single player. Not that any part of me was expecting it. Dude hasn't been playable since PO. (Which was actually the only reason I bought the game.) Anyways, MGO looks great, I can't wait. |

Didn't know, thanks !
I ah... kind of really expected him to be a buddy... I never expected Kojima to show off pretty much every buddy in the game before it gets released x) |

Ocelot was originally planned to be a buddy, but the decision to make him an informant was made pretty late in the development cycle, apparently. |

I miss playing as unique characters like in Portable Ops. There was just some charm to it. |

You don't need to apologize. You had no idea that they were going to come on here and act like complete idiots. Spewing out complete nonsense about some Voltron-esque Metal Gear and that Snake is invincible, then acting like they're above anyone. Regarding his avatar, it's going to stay that way. He chose to insult Raskalov about his avatar and this is what he gets. A nice reminder. Not sure if you invited Big Paws, doesn't matter really. The dude was just posting nonsensical bullshit. Bitched about his own personal issues with the game that only pertained to him but acted like they were actual problems with the game, which they weren't. Then complained about the game being too easy because he's a "PC gamer" That has nothing to do with anything. Continued to ignore my valid points and Scotia's. Especially the one about making the game 10x harder just by turning off most of the aiding features. Anyway, back on topic. Maurycry, I agree with what you said about that comic. That doesn't make the end better at all, nor does it compliment it. Way too light-hearted. I would like to point out what you said about endings not being explained. I, too, am a fan of that. I love ambiguous endings. It allows a person to truly interpret things on their own and make their own experience out of it. It can really make it personal for you. It's why I love MGS2 so damn much and it's why I liked MGSV's ending. I don't need things to be in black and white for me to appreciate it. I'll tell you what has no charm to it...the controls for Portable Ops. lol But hey, to each his own. Edited by SolidLiquid, Sep 18 2015, 12:56 AM.

Oh no, Portable Ops' controls were complete shit. I didn't like the story [I personally consider it canon breaking, so I just ignore it], didn't like how you recruited soldiers, and I certainly didn't like the mission structure. But it wasn't a bad game. |

I agree with your points, and yeah I played the hell out of PO despite me thinking those things, lol. Not a bad game..... dragging recruits to the truck though..... uuhhgggg. But PO did have one cool thing both PW and TPP did not have, that you were actually recruiting technicians, doctors, scientists, etc, instead of only recruiting soldiers. |

@No Place for Hayter Agree entirely. I find it weird someone made it into the military without the ability to fight, yet had an S rank in medicine. Edited by Raskalov, Sep 18 2015, 02:30 AM.

There were definitely parts to PO I liked. I didn't mind the story because I didn't take it seriously because it broke canon so early on into the sotry. Gene was a pretty neat character. Loved the Ashley Wood artwork for the cutscenes, (loved that he was used again for PW). The controls were just so bad, nearly unplayable. The graphics weren't that bad though, a portable port of the MGS3 engine. Just hated carrying everyone to the truck. For a non-canon (don't feel like discussing that) MGS game, it's not that bad but not that good either. It's average. Discussing MGSV's ending is going to be a lot more fun to talk about months from now. Let the dust settle, which might take quite some time. Edited by SolidLiquid, Sep 18 2015, 03:20 AM.
