Anyone else think that Anderson/SIGINT/The Darpa Chief is the biggest troll in the series now? Could've spilled the beans right there to Solid in that crappy cell, but NO we gotta go through all that other crap to figure everything out. |

Something that always confused me, I understand why he calls Solid ''Carrier Boy'' (Foxdie) but I've still got not idea why he calls Raiden ''Carrier Boy'' when he doesn't have the Foxdie strain in him. |

Remember what Olga said? If Raiden had died at any time in the mission, her child would have died. It was always on Raiden's shoulders, he just never realised it. Until Olga told him, anyways. It could also be part of the "Solid Snake Simulation" that Ocelot believed the S3 plan to be. Treat Raiden as if he was Solid Snake. Edited by Raskalov, Sep 22 2015, 03:57 AM.

I dunno, I don't really think it's tied to Sunny, tbh. Seems like it'd be more in-line with the training program, especially since Ocelot tends to repeat lines to Raiden that he's previously said to Solid, in MGS1. Just seems a bit odd tbh. |

That, or it could be a reference to how Raiden (the player) simply carrys out orders blindly The 'logic' for Quiet being mostly naked is so retarded. At the time it was revealed I still couldn't quite believe it, they literally compare her powers and needs to an old man who spends the whole game in a leaf jumpsuit, yet she HAS to be naked. I just watched the Jim Sterling video on it and I have to agree with him, it's sad that Kojima went from making The Boss, to this. Quiet could have been an epic character that was defined by her skills and abilities, yet instead she is defined by her ludicrous cleavage and lack of clothing. Of all the issues I have with the game, including the ending, is by far the biggest issue for me and really only serves to undermine the story. It's also the one thing you can totally pin on Kojima for being lazy and for making a very bad decision. Sniper Wolf was a sexy sniper, yet she managed to be fully clothed... Listening to the Giant Snakecast thing this morning, watching the Super Bunnyhop review last night and thinking on it all night and morning, I really like the story of this game a lot. I think that it could have been told better, that Ocelot should have had a personality rather than just a walking talking wikipedia torturer and that Quiet wasn't some cheap wank bank for Kojima (as she is a legit cool character who has a really cool arch, but is totally over-shadowed by her 'outfit') but over all I think it was kind of brilliant.   The whole thing makes PW so much more important, and cements it as the actual backstory to why Big Boss became the bad guy. Instead of doing it all over again, he has a new plan (Zanzibar Land) and is working on that while his decoy is keeping him safe. PW is MGS5 and MGSV is a fake sequel. It's still a shame that MGSV didn't get a proper boss fight ending, but looking at what Mission 51 is or what it hoped to be, I can understand why it didn't make it, the cost of making it would have been massive and tbh I didn't much like the ending with Psycho Mantis flying away with Eli, I'd rather it was left ambiguous Edited by baldgye, Sep 22 2015, 10:19 AM.
